Anthony Farrer sqrewed me on a couple of watch deals. Jimmy and Marco on hearing about it, reached out and made it right, even though they didn't have to. They did it with class and professionalism. Shout out to them for showing some ethics in a somewhat murky marketplace. Much thanks guys.

@@zhizian I purchased an 18K Bluesy and a two tone Root Beer from Anthony. Anthony represented them to be "mint" complete. To me that means. box, papers, hand tags, unpolished, "like new" (investment grade). When I received them they were polished (poorly I might add - the bluesy had a major nick in the first link of the bracelet) one had no box, root beer had two links missing, no hang tags, came in coffin plastic box. Just totally misrepresented. I chased Anthony around for over a year trying to get him to acknowledge and make right his scummy practices. I approached and told all of his buddies/employees he was hanging out with and no one gave me the time of day. About a year and a half later, after everything blew up, Jimmy and Marco heard about my experience and reached out to me to make it right. It was about the time Anthony was BSing everyone about moving into the huge penthouse in LA so TPG Dallas had already broken up; but, technically Anthony was still part of that organization (pre buyout). Jimmy and Marco thought it was the ethical thing to do and they provided boxes, hang tags, missing links in an effort to correct Anthony's wrongs. Again shout outs to them for stepping up when they could have ducked down and shifted responsibility to Anthony.

It's about time, and thrilled to see it! Apparently I wasn't the only one wondering what was going on with the business... You don't need to put out 20 minute videos every week, but just a 5-minute walk around showing the office has the lights on, people working at various locations in the space, maybe a discussion, deal, or inspection going on...just show some LIFE and ENERGY happening! This is what marketing is in it's most basic form...so thank you for the efforts! You'll see the dividends...

People enjoy real DITL content. The ups, the downs, the grind. People can relate to authentic and real. Plus it builds the sales team presence. I agree the flashy DITL is so over done and repetitive, but the original DITL was about building a business, the sales, the growth and people enjoy it. I would do more of that over the random one off videos!

In this market, people are rightly buying from ADs, not a second hand dealers unfortunately. Not like you gonna make money on watches after dealer margin and seller fees

The market is less saturated considering many have been arrested or have gone out of business.
I have missed this series like many others. It’s interesting to see some inventory and deals and watch the team interact on camera. It doesn’t have to be flashy dinners and such since we are here for the watches, but we have a connection with everyone on your team and want to see you are all doing well maintain the connection. I watch grand caliber, luxury bazaar, teddy, PM, Kevin O'leary, Nico, and sometimes watchbox or hodinkee. Everyone has a take, a view of the industry, and yours is just as interesting as the rest. Keep it up!

Jimmy, I really think you are doing perfect youtube-wise. THIS is such an honest video - and I aprreciate this a LOT more than the 'flashy' videos on othe channels. It's just an insight to the 'real' life of watch dealers after the hype. I like it a lot. And for the "Under The Loupe" etc videos: This is Marcos strong suit: Offering a deep dives into specific models, explaining the tiny differences between the different MkX versions of a watch. Honestly: I take your channel seriously. And that's really something else to the other watch channels, that I merely watch for entertainment reasons. Keep this on! It's great, interesting - and it makes your channel different to many other channels. Cheers!

Id love to see a mix of both where if you have a client come in and buy a certain piece...or look at a couple different pieces...then cut to marco & crew talking about or breaking down those specific watches...even the lower price pieces..that way its a mix of all of it⌚️✌️

Grey market dealers are basing their growth potentials on the precept that the demand for used Luxury Timepieces will continue to maintain as is or grow. However, its just based on a "hunch" not on fact.Current anecdotal observations. However, the brands are integrating vertically and expanding production. A slip in the economy and a crackdown from the brands into the ADs, could restrict the access to "new with tags" inventory. Also, why would consumer pay extra for a grey market piece, when eventually the inventory cold start to normalize at the brand stores or those AD that remain. Normal should be that a used piece should cost less than retail and that will happen. Not tomorrow but not too far away.
Because people want what they want when they want it. People use to buy used to save a lot of money. It will be again. Nothing is forever especially when it doesn’t make sense.
@@shaneropp1274 The biggest player is buying the route to market, in turn that will pressure ADs to get in line. No more brand new, white sticker watches for grey dealers to charge 40% premium. it will happen. Then I want to see what they do.
