Often times, depending on the “age” of your ear and how good your hearing is, high frequencies tones can not be heard by some. The scream was very high pitched, so I assume some just have too old ears? 🤷♀️
I hear it, but I think the issue with some people not hearing it could be due to sound itself. Depending on pitch some people just can’t hear certain ranges! Hope that helps explain it
That was my conclusion too. I can't hear it but I just breeched an age where my hearing dropped and I can't hear a lot of those high frequencies any more.
I've listened to that moment so many times. On my laptop without headphones, with headphones, with other headphones. On my phone with two different headphones. And I can hear only your inhale and the ruffling of paper somewhere on the floor. And yes, my hearing is good, I normally hear all the quietest sounds

Side note, I’m really glad you like Spokane, it’s really an under appreciated city with so much potential. Yep, I heard it! It probabaly has to do with ear age, because younger people (who havent blown their ears out with music) hear higher pitches than older people. We used to do something similar in highschool with a ringtone that was such a high pitch the older teachers couldnt hear it..😂

I'm pretty confident it's just inhaling because I hear this exact noise all the time in any voice recordings I do. It just sounds a little weird because its resonating off of the stone walls all around you.
Also if you still think I'm just "not hearing it" I listened to it in studio monitors/headphones and I spend a lot of time analyzing small details like this as an audio engineer. (But also it doesn't really matter it's one second of audio.)
