Is the cameraman having a stroke
I love David Caves acting Great facial expression and never forgets a line. Yay David Caves:-)
This was so sensual, wish I’d gone and seen the play! David Caves is gorgeous, brilliant actor.
this filmed version is far more sinister than seeing it live, it's really fascinating!
The stage version was absolutely fantastic, thanks for this reminder!
I really enjoyed watching this video, thanks for uploading it.
That was pretty incredible!
Thanks for uploading this, analysing it makes for an interesting essay!
There's something sexy about Petruchio...
Love the reaction when Katherine spits on David and slaps him
me too! saw the video of Tennant's Hamlet and adored it. being not in UK, I would their every production were captured live. Love RSC's modern touch.
I like the idea of all of this and the basic stageing but there was no fire and bite between the actors.
is there any where to find the whole thing????
I hope this is available on DVD!
Wish I could watch this somewhere
awsome amazing acting
my teacher told me to watch this im DYING
At the end, when it gets much more serious all of a sudden.....I got a "I'm giving you one chance to take that back' vibe from him, and she's actually starting to sound scared....
is there a way to get a dvd copy of the whole show?
This made me uncomfortable 😂
Same
Were they in the same room? I get the idea they spoke from the same script, yet not to each other.
Edit: Popping in again ... I just have to ask ... what was the point of this scene? Petruchio seems utterly uninterested in marrying Kate and is just running through it all like rote .. yet, I was under the impression Petrucchio needs the money? It seems like we have two fantastic actors who were told to act a scene with complete disregard for the context, leading to brilliant individual work that just doesn't match.
It's like we have the Magnum scene from Dirty Harry, but the director says "MAKE IT A ROMANCE!"
Actor: You're the boss. Just don't expect anyone to like it.
wow
is this real the Royal Shakespeare Company? where doth this man hideth is accent?
This director is not the best
I like it
Wtf is going on
This is hard to watch, I hope the live version was way better.
That shrew will need some taming.....
Not the best taming of the shrew I've seen, it's ok. I prefer the globe's version.
+Iloveshakespeare the globe is the rsc
1:15
I like the stage version better . . . this is great I just think that their stage production was better
My teacher played this in class
Mind you im in 6th
Was that even legal?
What is with all these sexual innuendos
Medical Student it’s Shakespeare
Madam Satan enough said! Lol
I felt so uncomfortable watching this. My dude was full out moaning wtf
Taming of a shrew would be funny, but difficult. And I don't think you could teach them many tricks, cause their brains are very small!
Ew.
Why couldn't she be prettier im sorry but the male is always attractive the women not so much. I probably only seen three kates who where as beautiful and they were spiteful
bbria28 What are you even talking about? She looks a bit rough and like she could kick somebody's ass, but she's gorgeous.
Not the best taming of the shrew I've seen, it's ok. I prefer the globe's version.
