Listen to what the MD of Beloxxi Industries is saying about Nigerian commercial banks. Nigerian Commercial banks are not interested to do anything for Nigerian manufacturing sector, and it is almost impossible for Nigeria manufacturing sector to grow without the support of the Nigerian commercial banks. Nigerian government must fix this issue with the Nigerian commercial banks and ensure idle funds in the Nigerian commercial banks are put into manufacturing businesses. The Commercial banks must add value to the Nigerian economy by supporting manufacturing- BOI cannot do it alone. Manufacturing is the second largest job creation after Agriculture, therefore commercial banks must consider the interest of the unemployed Nigerians. And the Nigerian government must articulate strategies to encourage commercial banks to lend money o Nigerian manufacturers.
