How about the cyanide mostly present in the peels? How is that controlled so as not to harm animals that consume them? Unless the peels do not contain cyanide or cyanide is harmless to animals.

once its extracted the starch stays starch,the lesser the juices the lesser the cyanide content. once the cassava dried in solar, or in the facility.its more lesser Hydrocyanic acid.becasue HCN is volatile,and its easily evaporated,once you boil or dried.that is why the HCN content of the dried cassava is less than 2%. and its safer for food consumption.leaves or roots
