Im impressed with how far you managed to make 100 stretch! Ive lived in Austin since i was 13. Ive been homeless since 17, and im 30 now. Austin is so hilariously expensive, even working 40 hours per at 16.50 an hour, i couldn't even afford the cheapest efficiency i could find! Good lick out there and thanks for visiting
They ate a bunch of snack and failed to tell you it’s really a $100 person and I’m sure they didn’t include tax, travel (most people Uber) or tips-which would have been an extra $20/per person. Austin is definitely one of the most expensive cities to live in 😢.
I miss Austin. I grew up in San Antonio but moved away in 1991 to South Florida. 6th st was so much fun and so was Zucker Park. Love these extra videos with you kids. Watching this one since you haven't posted another Alaska video this week
You could also have toured the Texas State Capital, for free, which has the tallest dome of any state capital building. There are exhibits that tell the entire history of Texas.
Thanks guys. First video and giving me the scoops about Austin when I have been there for the 4th time. And as a flight attendant I always want to find other places. So thank you!
Austin gets attacked by the rest of Texas for being different politically, but it really is a great city whose population cares about their health, food is delicious, very educated city, and its suburbs are among the safest, cleanest and well maintained in the state. Traffic, expensive and visible homeless are really the only drawbacks.
Oh my gosh the other day I was going to say the next time you’re in Austin I hope I’m in Austin! Dang it I’m in Dallas;( I think y’all need to get an Airbnb in Austin just saying lololol
Sad that two people doing many of the most basic things blew thru almost $200. One doesn't always need to spend money to have a good time if they plan b4 they leave home. A walk, a bike ride, some trailer food and just hanging out is way cheaper.
That is nothing. I live and and pay rent in Austin, which means I only get $5 a day to live on. But I'm sure Reagan's trickle down econonics will start working any day now and all these billion dollar companies will start paying employees livable wages.
It was relatively cheap in Austin before the later corporate welfare model kicked with the multi-million Dollar tax incentive deals from every level of government to most big companies.
Buy food+drinks at supermarkets and just walk around and hang out and take in everything. Best way to travel and cheap. Talking about «money, budget, cheap» while having $100 each is a bit weird….
yo let me give y'all an American secret, the thing you don't know about mexican food is, that even the cheap mexican is good. unlike Italian or French dishes where you clearly have a falloff if the ingredients arent good. mexican doesn't have that. the flipside is that mexican doesn't have like a pricey "quality" premium food dish. whereas Italiand and French do. What this means is that you experience some authentic mexican food for cheap consistently. but don't bank on thinking its healthy or you can eat it daily without repercussions. this is where the ingredient quality comes into play. mexican food trucks are the least committed to sourcing healthy options/ingredients. lots of mexican dishes outright call for grilling meat in lard on the grill. More young Americans prefer mexican food now because it's cheaper and taste better at the lower prices. whereas italian food is known by their local Olive Garden restaurant and typically isn't near authentic in ingredient sourcing or genuine Italian. Typically Italian restaurants that aren't pizza joints tend to steer towards entertaining a crowd of self respect *people willing to dress up for dinner*. And many young generations peoples don't understand that social attitude and based on excess cost will reject the restaurant as a suitable choice.

The "river" is Lady Bird Lake.
...so Austin on $200 per day per couple. Got it.
with no housing and free car+gas jeje
Austin, what a great city!
You could also have toured the Texas State Capital, for free, which has the tallest dome of any state capital building. There are exhibits that tell the entire history of Texas.
Thanks for the tip. :)
The brisket looks good
A bottle of wine 2 lawn chairs and me and mama under the free area watching the bats. And the free sunset😂
Drive to this place, then drive to this place, then drive to this place, then…
Yea, so?
Wilkommen zu Austin
I was expecting landmarks. I got food. Tip: Every city has food.
Tip: Every city has landmarks.
I used to buy breakfast burritos for $0.50 a piece out of a lady’s trunk of her car on South Lamar on my way to the work back in the day🥰
Thanks guys. First video and giving me the scoops about Austin when I have been there for the 4th time. And as a flight attendant I always want to find other places. So thank you!
Good.. happy holidays
How fun! Love your adventures!!!
Love this guys!
With tip at that bar you’d be over but I appreciate the concept of the episode

That was nice guys
Childhood flashback: I never liked nopales and the sight of eggs and nopales gave me goosebumps and not the good kind!
As a California resident, the brisket looks similar to what we call tri-tip over here. I wonder if they are the same thing.
Different sections of meat, the California tri tip comes from the bottom sirloin and the brisket is the front foreleg. Love tri tip sandwiches 🥪
@@RayQ101 Impressed with your knowledge! 👍👏
@@RayQ101 brisket comes from the chest
Yum!!!
I’m confused I thought you guys were driving with the RV and pull the red truck
It must be an old video. They just got back in Clementine. Last week.
I’m thinking they have been paid by DW travel to do this vlog. It was probably filmed a while ago. ~Cara 😊
$4 dollars per taco and they call it cheap???!!!

That's right!
I need to visit that taco truck.

Any second now....

Is this the shopping channel now😂
I wish everyone who reads this to be successful ♥️♥️
Does that include gas to drive around?
No.
Nice video, only the city… I’m happy with Amsterdam aanstaande my capital 🇳🇱it’s allot more beautiful instead of cars cars and concreet
👍🏻👍🏻😎

What is DW travel?
We are the travel channel from DW (Deutsche Welle), Germany's independent international broadcaster.
So, just wondering- are there drink driving laws in America?
Yes. It's highly illegal
Where is Clementine this is a little weird on someone else's channel
100 doesn’t last me an hour here
Will go to Austin when I am hungry, NOT to see Austin. Seriously, this video should be called "How to not starve with 100$ in Austin".
Ouch

You did not show the homeless encampments it is a horrible city.
Tacos turn me off
You've been lied to your whole life. Fat is super healthy for you especially if you keep your carbs down.
Please don't move here.
Come to Detroit!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😎😎😎😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Hey you guys forgot about the cat cafe where Eric celebrated his birthday? Or did covid shut that place down?
Hopefully not!🐱
