    Im impressed with how far you managed to make 100 stretch! Ive lived in Austin since i was 13. Ive been homeless since 17, and im 30 now. Austin is so hilariously expensive, even working 40 hours per at 16.50 an hour, i couldn't even afford the cheapest efficiency i could find! Good lick out there and thanks for visiting

      They ate a bunch of snack and failed to tell you it’s really a $100 person and I’m sure they didn’t include tax, travel (most people Uber) or tips-which would have been an extra $20/per person. Austin is definitely one of the most expensive cities to live in 😢.

    I miss Austin. I grew up in San Antonio but moved away in 1991 to South Florida. 6th st was so much fun and so was Zucker Park. Love these extra videos with you kids. Watching this one since you haven't posted another Alaska video this week

    You could also have toured the Texas State Capital, for free, which has the tallest dome of any state capital building. There are exhibits that tell the entire history of Texas.

    Austin gets attacked by the rest of Texas for being different politically, but it really is a great city whose population cares about their health, food is delicious, very educated city, and its suburbs are among the safest, cleanest and well maintained in the state. Traffic, expensive and visible homeless are really the only drawbacks.

    As a California resident, the brisket looks similar to what we call tri-tip over here. I wonder if they are the same thing.

    • @RayQ101
      @RayQ101 Рік тому +5

      Different sections of meat, the California tri tip comes from the bottom sirloin and the brisket is the front foreleg. Love tri tip sandwiches 🥪

    $4 dollars per taco and they call it cheap???!!!

  • @roberth7894
    @roberth7894 Рік тому

    Sad that two people doing many of the most basic things blew thru almost $200. One doesn't always need to spend money to have a good time if they plan b4 they leave home. A walk, a bike ride, some trailer food and just hanging out is way cheaper.

    That is nothing. I live and and pay rent in Austin, which means I only get $5 a day to live on. But I'm sure Reagan's trickle down econonics will start working any day now and all these billion dollar companies will start paying employees livable wages.

      It was relatively cheap in Austin before the later corporate welfare model kicked with the multi-million Dollar tax incentive deals from every level of government to most big companies.

    Buy food+drinks at supermarkets and just walk around and hang out and take in everything. Best way to travel and cheap. Talking about «money, budget, cheap» while having $100 each is a bit weird….

    yo let me give y'all an American secret, the thing you don't know about mexican food is, that even the cheap mexican is good. unlike Italian or French dishes where you clearly have a falloff if the ingredients arent good. mexican doesn't have that. the flipside is that mexican doesn't have like a pricey "quality" premium food dish. whereas Italiand and French do. What this means is that you experience some authentic mexican food for cheap consistently. but don't bank on thinking its healthy or you can eat it daily without repercussions. this is where the ingredient quality comes into play. mexican food trucks are the least committed to sourcing healthy options/ingredients. lots of mexican dishes outright call for grilling meat in lard on the grill. More young Americans prefer mexican food now because it's cheaper and taste better at the lower prices. whereas italian food is known by their local Olive Garden restaurant and typically isn't near authentic in ingredient sourcing or genuine Italian. Typically Italian restaurants that aren't pizza joints tend to steer towards entertaining a crowd of self respect *people willing to dress up for dinner*. And many young generations peoples don't understand that social attitude and based on excess cost will reject the restaurant as a suitable choice.
