The separation works best with zero grazing. Coz if one is doing free range, the goats are at liberty of mating out in the fields. Out there you can not control them. May be if one has to separate them by feeding them from different parts of the field which requires extra herders. Any advice on this would help

The fact is we may assume that the father may be carrying certain inferior genes in its phenotype or genotype that may end affecting the animals vigor. However good looking the male can be let's assume it's not 100% perfect in everything aspect of performance so this is done to create a variety of options in the gene pool. Thanks
