Sir, I’m planning to pursue MD in Microbiology. I'm a bit confused about the colleges - BJMC Pune, YCM Pimpri Chinchwad, RML Lucknow, or KGMU Lucknow. Also, I would like to know if it's possible to run our own practice in the future.
BJMC Pune is good for sure. It carried Whole genome sequencing of Covid samples in Maharashtra and Head of Dept is eminent Microbiologist Dr Rajesh Karyakarte. Cant comment on Lucknow colleges as I dnt knw about it 1st hand. Yes you can easily practice in future. There is no restriction on that by NMC unless ur job doesnt allow private practice.
For MD Micro right? Seth GSMC > GMC Mumbai any day. Lots of senior faculty of GMC Mumbai got transferred recently to other state govt colleges. Seth GSMC will be heavy workload though but u will learn a lot more and faculty is also good.
Central govt is much more a lecturer upwards of 1.5lakh per month as a fresher, State govts and corporations will be around 1.2lakh per month. Contractual lecturers in Mumbai corporation are currently getting exactly 1 lakh per month
Sir I am getting MD Microbiology from Ramlal mohar Delhi ; RIMS Imphal , Malauna azad medical college , i am a bit confused between MD ; DNB Pathology DIploma in Anaesthesia Help me out
MD Microbiology would be over DNB Patho any day. D.A u can go if u want clinical only..but then think about doing DNB anaesthesia later..Only D.A will not suffice in an urban settings and Anaesthesiologists depend a lot on surgeons , surgeons prefer MD Anaesthesia for complicated surgeries n will give u only basic surgeries.
@godwinanjitha5271 while doing your MD Micro Residency itself correlate with the patient and go to wards, see the patients, check the treatment etc. Read books like Mandell right from 1st yr of MD Micro.
Interview based. There is marking scheme for experience as well as extra degrees like DNB, Fellowships etc, awards recieved, publications and seperate marks for interview. Permanent posts has a lot of competition but possible..so build your CV as soon as u pass out.
Pharma As a fresher in a good company will be >1.5 lakh pm, the profile will be equivalent of MD Pharmac and there is no distinction between the two..what they mainly see is how well u can connect with different key persons of the industry. Hospital Infection Control will be mainly in NABH hospitals n start at 1.2 lakh pm

Yes. But fellowship is a subspecialty and not a super specialty (D.M I.D).
Yes one can do clinical practice, there is no restriction.

For permanent posts yes there will be competition for sure. You can increases your chances by bettering your CV.

Not really. It is 3 yrs only like all other SS courses.
