You certainly have "self-control". Trying not to deviate from your principles.

Yes, I think it helps to simplify decision making

i would only wish that you demostrate this strategy against live opponents not a computer, its just unusual and computers are different than people.

Just played another two games against computer. First game I made the mistake of trying to follow a bit of opening theory which ended in me very quickly loosing. So I again ignored all theory and just played slow and solid moves without trying to think or remember what a recommended move or moves might be and with minimal pawn moves as you recommend. I won relatively easily because the computer blundered an exchange early in the middle game leaving me a piece up. My score the last 4 days is 7.5 to 5.5 which is better than I hoped because on 2nd Jan I increased the 'strength' of the computer to the next level and so I expected to loose most games.
    Thanks for sharing.

That's Nice, I believe this is the best approach. Minimum focus on theory and maximum focus on understanding chess and playing solid moves

Sir, I just wanted to tell you that with this strategy of playing solid moves only I just destroyed a 1340 rated opponent in rapid chess in just 19 moves. He played the open Sicilian defense, I just developed normally and I don't know why he brought his queen out on the 9th move. Also, he played a move that allowed me to threaten a fork of his king and rook with my knight which forced him to get his knight on the a6 square todefend, then I coordinated my piceces and checkmated him right in the center of the board. A 95.5 accuracy game with an estimated rating of 2100 for me. Thanks a lot

do you like playing the Nizo Indian defense as black against e4, and possible 2nd move for white pushing c4 into the Queen’s gambit?
Q: the dilemma I’m having is how do you know that second move is coming or not or do you just play your regular or conservative defense as you have been coaching solid moves not putting your pieces in threatening positions right away and casting

You should have moved your queen to a6 after your pawn push

you should go over your black repertoire and other opening system you use. Maybe play blitz games and talk through your thought process. Also explain some of your games that you studied. Show use how to analyze better in the end games.

I hope it's possible to train this excellent thinking system in rapid games. Blitz was too hectic to try anything but the instictive things, which in my case aren't solid at all. 😁

The best player in my local club is basically advocating for that exact strategy : playing boring, simple chess. Don't play to win a brilliancy prize and instead wait for your opponent to take inconsiderate risks.

Your lessons are black magic. Almost only cheaters are winning against me. Of course I lose to honest people too but not has much before. Pawns strategy is mind blowing, thank you

    Chess is weird.
General tactics as all people calculate.
Error tactics like arjun erigasi play.
    Defending tactics like this video.
Error tactics gives + 100-150 elo.
Defending tactics gives + 200-300 elo.
