Big difference is Polestar 3 is it's Android Auto system really rocks, you can likely get it going with less time than the Q-8 infotainment system and Google Maps is so good!
I had a ride on the Polestar3 at the testtrack in Gothenburg. This car have awsome on and offroad capacityes. 1.Torque vector on rear motor.Just awsome for road/track handling and offroad capacityes. 2.Rear motor disengages when going in eco mode(unlike Polestar2 and 4(front motor disconnects) 3.Polestar3 does rise it high by 25cm or so,when going offroad mode. Øhlins dampers and brembo brakes are incredible. We did turn in 120Km/h and manevures 130 km/h between cones. The car sat planted on the road.
If I had $100,000 USD I would go for the Polestar 3. It looks beautiful and will get access to the Tesla Supercharger network with the correct charge port location too!
I choose polestar, more modern, higher towing capacity, more spacious and nicer, my opinion. Of course, both must be test driven before making a final choice.
I would go for the Polestar 3. Not in the market though, it's too big for me and I just got the upgraded Polestar 2 about 6 weeks ago. Will be paying for that some time...
Sag The P3 in Vienna and it is nice but that much white, it’s too clinical, but still a million times better than that Audi. It’s incredible that those cars are so similar in size, it doesn’t seem so, although I haven’t seen them side by side.
Here in the US there are multiple Audi dealers in big cities so competition and support will be plentiful with the Audi. I had 2 Prestige etron 55s and now the Q8. These are full feature premium cars.
I had a chance to see and sit in the Polstar, I admit that it does indeed look great, but for me trunk size is a deal breaker, it is tiny, we go on family trips and you can't fit anything back there if you are going away for the weekend with a family
I go on car trips every month with my wife and 3 kids and our car is the same size and trunk as polestar 3 and it does great! Now i have orderd the polestar 3 and will be the best car for sure.
I got the chance to sit in the Polestar 3 at eCar expo in Copenhagen this past weekend and I wasn't that impressed. The seat height in the back is very low when you don't have the ability to stretch your legs like you do in the video. Also I think the small trunk space is a deal breaker for most people in the Nordics at least when buying a car in this class.
Good review though don’t underestimate the power of Audi brand loyalty. Polestar doesn’t have that track record. Yet. This is coming from a guy that’s owned several Audis over the years and just took delivery of a gorgeous new Q8 etron.
PS3 is more stylish and sporty. It is much more comfort thant PS2, but the rear seat is a little bit short like for kids. You will like PS3 more than audi if you only drive with your wife and kids. But if you need take care rear seat passengers, q8 seems better.
They’re not wasting money on it when the Etron Q6 is on its way. Same size, more range, better vehicle. Or just buy an iX which is better than both of them.
As far as I can understand from reading / viewing the improvement from the e-tron 55 to Q-8 e-tron are marginals. Also the 2nd hand prices of the 2019 e-tron 55 have crashed in the last few months, which make the second hand e-tron a bargain (exactly the same happened with the Jaguar i-Pace in which the improvements are even less ! but at least the e-tron from 2019 is charging fast while the Jaguar is very slow as you know). The reason in both case is too many cars coming back from lease for the market to absorb. Further because of theses crashing prices they take big losses. (I just purchased a 2019 i-Pace HSE First Edition for 35% of the price when new + 12 month guarantee + 4 new wheel with new winters tires. So too me it’s bit foolish unless you have money to burn to buy a brand new Audi Q8 e-tron or a Jaguar i-Pace.
With the current discounts both come really close in price identically equipped .. for me no brainer, Q8 I admit the P3 is more powerful and fast, better software .. on the paper.. but the rest, brand image, solidity, noise when closing the door.. Audi hands down P3 should be at least 7-10k eur cheaper than the Audi to really make sense. It’s a Chinese car with no track record and unknown resale, repair, longevity experience .. not for me at this price point.. I preordered it, and anded up with the Q8
No, it isn't a Chinese car. Chinese are just shareholders essentialy. Concerning build quality, it's basically Volvo, which is renowned for remarkably SOLID door closing sounds, if that's what you care about. Kris also mentions that the material quality is actually superior to the Audi, and that doesn't really surprise me. However, the Q8 is I guess a "safer" choice. Also concerning brand image, Polestar's is gonna be superior to the average person you ask. Because it's new and stylish, not like every other car on the road. I find Audi's designs to be quite boring and businessy (excluding the Q8 normal, which looks fantastic). They're just too common, and while classy, just-meh.
@@OrionAerospaceKSP good, all opinions are valid I don’t think polestars are comparable to the three luxury German brands, I have had and still have, a Volvo. Finishing, materials, solidity, Volvo is a step below and so does Polestar At the same price tag I don’t think it makes sense to go for a P3 over a Q8 eTron, EQE SUV or iX .. at 10k less, it well might I pre ordered the P3 and then test drove the three Germans .. and cancelled de P3, ended up buying the Q8 eTron, which I find attractive and nice if well specked, I could not stand the BMW and the Mercedes looked bland and bubbly .. I drove the P2 and BMW i4 .. they both are in another league, IMO Just my two cents
The P3 exterior is much better in appearance than the Q8 exterior, by a long shot. But the screens in the P3 yield an "F" (fail) grade. Polestar going the Tesla route of crappy screen design and taking away physical buttons/dials is unsafe and cheap-looking. Audi gets much higher grades for its instrument panel and infotainment screen and place of controls for audio/climate outside of the touchscreen. Both Polestar and Audi should be at 800-volt architecture by now in all vehicles sold, for faster DC-charging capability and more efficient (and arguably safer) interior wiring/construction in BEVs.
Neither, the Audi is old and the polestar is heavily compromised. Buy a BMW iX, it’s a much better car than the Audi and will more than likely be a better car than the Polestar.
I considered getting a BMW iX, but can't stand the look of it. I'm not a fan of the BMW design language, especially when it comes to the massive grill, gaudy gold trim, and funky looking instrument cluster UI. Were it not for the car's looks, I might have gotten it, but I've placed an order for the Polestar 3 instead.
@@MasterChief37 I can't attach pictures here, but I'm referring to the gold-(ish) color around the air vents, headrests, steering wheel. Unless there's some option that I don't know about to select a different color. In any case, if you like it, good for you, sounds like you got the right car. I just hate the way it looks and would never buy one as a result.
@@MasterChief37 ah, apparently the official name for it is "Titanium Bronze". On BMW's USA website, it is the only available option for trim. Maybe there were other options in previous model years or other countries.

Nice one man. I got the polestar 2 also for one month. I upgraded from a Tesla 3 to the polestar 2 and it’s fantastic car 😁✔️

I’ve looked at both and have ordered my Polestar 3 already.
The B&W sound system was a factor for me but there were other reasons for my decision.
Here in the US there are multiple Audi dealers in big cities so competition and support will be plentiful with the Audi. I had 2 Prestige etron 55s and now the Q8. These are full feature premium cars.
Yes but the audi are boring Because everyone have them. Polestar brand new and a special car brand. I’m go with Polestar every day.
Polestar, software is going to be more feature rich
Welcome to Finland! Better in the summer though.
I’d go PS3, between these; newer tech, more efficient and generally better range. The Audi is classy but beginning to look dated imo!
I had a chance to see and sit in the Polstar, I admit that it does indeed look great, but for me trunk size is a deal breaker, it is tiny, we go on family trips and you can't fit anything back there if you are going away for the weekend with a family

Kind of hilarious, indicating towing 😂 Towing your 1800 kg caravan and needed to recharge. How often to cover 1500kms? Every 150 KMS?
Q8 for me

Q8 is a joke. Audi had a big opportunity to make the older Etron much better but they chose to take some Q4 improvements and made an Etron 56.
They’re not wasting money on it when the Etron Q6 is on its way. Same size, more range, better vehicle. Or just buy an iX which is better than both of them.
Everyone here voting for Polestar makes me believe this will sale very well. Probably it’s the best electric SUV ever made
