that is called rigging....something a bit harder then modeling....its more technical then artistic at that point....ull need to learn how to make controlers and setup them with driven keys and stuff

@jamil1985 its more of just me setting up feathers, nothing fancy.. more like a "heres how i work"
my background is actually in traditional and 3D animation, I just started writting tools because I wanted to get to the final result faster :P
studying programming and 3D would be a good place to start :)

Yo thanks for sharing your work. I have set up a wing rig with your mel script. So far so good. I'm looking forward to doing some animation testing. I appreciate rigging explorations. keep it up!

@jamil1985 Hello, so the double movement could be your hierarchy, if it moves twice, the movement is being applied more than once. as for the popping, like any constraint you have to watch how far the rotation goes (im also preparing to upload a new tutorial video on creating wings from start to finish)

@jamil1985 i tend to separate my controllers into their own hierarchy, and at the base of the one side I create an "override" group that has a -1 value

It would be great if you could make a scene file avaiable for download through creatrive crash, that would be simpler for us less technical non TD types. I would really like to animate this setup for my demo reel. I think it's a really nice set up by the way.

As lazy as this will probably sound, I'm actually asking because I don't have Maya...do you have a 3DS Max equivalent by chance? I'd love to get my hands on that. :D
