Patience, tenacity, perseverance combined with skill finally paid off. Perhaps a fresh in the creeks will improve catches. As the weather warms up I would expect snakes to become more active in the areas you fish. You pack a First Aid kit? Looking forward to your next video. Hope you have much better luck.
himderfella Mate funny you say that, I was just thinking I probably should carry one and even reckon I should have a PLB just in case. I’ve always gone through the notions of what I’d do if I got bitten making do with what I’ve got but probably best to be properly prepared.
Up until the 9:30 mark that was just rough, then a redbelly black to top it off 😂 it's been tough fishing in my local too for them, gonna be a really dry Summer so should be interesting. You did well to get one mate, well done 🎣🐟👍
@@LiamFitzpatrick Yeah we'll be back to having to fish the main rivers for natives, the skinny water creeks will be all dried up... so sad because it's a natural part of fish behaviour... yeah bugger snakes man hahah
5:30 i know that exact rock pool, pulled so many bass and eel tailed catfish out of there on little freshwater prawns that we caught in the net, soo fun! Same time of year aswell, the creek was dry and they were all concentrated in the deep rock pools. Nice stuff 🎣 You can check the video on my channel if you want, first vid i made, pretty crap vid but shows you the fish.
Your flipping is on point but with the water being so cold go slower and maybe put a trailer on the jig to give it some more action and profile. Chatterbait is one of my fav baits to fish with but again if the water is cold fish it like a senko or swim jig! Bass don’t want to work hard for food when it’s cold they just want one big meal that’s easy... Tight lines!
Tough fishing alright. What is your plan if you get done by a snake? Looks pretty gnarley country & going solo would be a mission to get out with a bite! 🐍🐍
Cooper 53 They are one of my favourites mate. Anything with flash in the creeks though really. The 3/8oz Bassman Mumbler in this vid goes alright. The main thing to look out for is the right hook size mate. Nothing too big.
After watching your videos of you creek fishing I started searching my ass off on Google maps for some nice, easily accessible but rarely fished creeks. I marked out a few places on maps over the past 2 weeks and yesterday I decided to go check them out. 5 hours of driving from the Goldy to a few spots out around Beaudesert, back into a few more marks around Beechmont area and a couple in between to find a lot of not much. Most the spots were near impossible to access let alone get a cast in, dried out, shallow or checkers with stinking carp. Do you have any pointers for Google mapping creeks. On maps they all looked easily accessible and promising but in reality when I rocked up I was disappointed. What do you look for when you are searching for your land based creeks? What are the giveaways from a pixelated birds eye view on maps that its actually fishable? So frustrated at a loss of fuel and no fish, bar a land based Hinze bass at the end of the day to dry my tears
My secret is to drive around with a carton of beer in the car until you see a farmer at his gate on on a tractor and stop to talk to him or her. See what they say about fish then offer some beers in return of some access. Best way to go about it mate. Sorry I took so kind to get back to you I’ve had an issue with comments and where they go mate.
Liam Fitzpatrick yep I’ve spent the last ten years chasing Barra but I’m used to casting heavier lures on baitcasters. For lighter stuff I’ve always used thread lines. I’m new to Bass and looking for a light baitcasting outfit. I see the advantages. What are you using? Money not an issue. Just want something that can cast 40mm atomics and tiemcos sweetly. Cheers
Na I don’t cast anything that small on casting gear. You’d need some crazy ultra finesse JDM spec baitcaster for that. I run all Lew’s gear mate. You can comfortably cast 1/4oz but that light stuff I cast on spin gear mate.
Hey bro I got a spot I go to from time to time my pb there is 54cm bass,on the same day between me and a mate we caught 17 bass and yellow belly hit us up if ya keen for a fish there
This is why we watch this channel!
Real fisherman go the extra mile.
Good vid mate.
magico250379 You just made my day mate. Cheers 👊🏻
Love the adventure you go on to get em, so much more rewarding I reckon haven’t done it in ages 😩👌🏼
Eti alefosio It’s absolutely one of my favourite ways to fish mate. You should come sometime.
@@LiamFitzpatrickis this currumbin creek? what setup are you using for bass
Good vid man! I’ve been struggling this last week on the bass, water temps are freezing!
DANG Fishing It’s crazy cold 🥶

Snakes are the least of my concerns. Got bailed up by two wild dogs the other day. That was fucked.
Should have tied on a mazzy pop. Ultimate skinny water/tough session lure.
Rupe Is Fishing You love the Mazzy.

Ross Vickers Cheers mate. Yeah needs those temps to come up. I did have a trailer on there. Not much action out of it though.

Ben Broadfoot Pressure bandage, minimal movement and hope to fuck I’ve got mobile signal.
Do you mainly use chatter baits for bass and what are the best ones to buy

2 days of casting to get a hit and then it misses the hooks or throws them...would you believe that some people actually fish to relax? 😄
Nothing relaxing about the way I fish 🤣
Might be time to leave the rods at home and take the bow out if the deer are on the move haha
Mitchell Annis-Brown Mmmmm
Are they the creeks at the back of logan
breamy31 Couple of property’s I got access to out that way mate.
I don’t know where u are based but I get some bass in bundamba creek and the Bremer river on live shrimp
Yeah they are a sucker for a live shrimp.
@@LiamFitzpatrick haha yup me and my mate went down to the creek and got 3 in an hour and a half but we ran out of shrimps lol
Hi daddy I like 🐠 to that are purity I love 💖
Theses songs and were you go
Rebecca Rebecca Thank you darling.
Where do I find Australian Bass.............you show me yours Liam and I’ll show you mine.........secret spots that is 🤔😉
LukeJTav Hard to keep em secret these days mate.
Liam Fitzpatrick spots/systems may not be secret but access is king. 👑
Yeah I’m glad I know a few farmers.
The boy can cast
Martin Plenty of practice up the creeks mate. I love using casting gear in these systems. Put it exactly where you want it.

That dude That sez shiz That’s a sick session mate. Bass and yellow belly mate, you must be below one of the dams.
@@LiamFitzpatrick Spot on brother🤙 down the back of wivenhoe..... do ya flick out that way
That dude That sez shiz Yeah mate used to fish it heaps back in the day.
Heaps of creeks and dams around imbil qld.....
Yeah I’ve fished a few mate. Some good fish up there.
Full moon fishing is a downer, new moon is way way better
New moon day time fishing, full moon night time fishing. Big fan of moon above mate.
