i know i dont LEARN while i sleep, but hearing words that i already know often can really help with memory, even if its while your falling asleep. so thats the main reason i would recommend this.

People are arguing about whether or not you can actually learn in your sleep but that seems like a pointless discussion to me. I don’t think it’s a reliable way to learn but I don’t think that even matters. I don’t expect to actually wake up knowing 7 hours of Japanese. But I already like having something relaxing to listen to as I fall asleep, so may as well throw this on and maybe gain some familiarity with words and phrases til I doze off. If I somehow learn in my dreams then that’s just a bonus lol

Yes exactly, and Its the thought that counts. Also- I feel it helps in a way how a baby learns English or any language by- well merely just hearing it. it definitely helps with familiarity.

I also think it helps, kinda like how sometimes coma patients will wake up and know different languages than the one they originally knew, but listening to words like this would influence our minds m while we sleep and consume that knowledge while crafting some form of dream that would help us retain the knowledge.

I mean I listen to multiple hours of Japanese during the day and Id say I don’t retain most of that, definitely not on the first run of it (my history is filled with multiple 4+ hour Japanese videos now that I listen to while I drive lol). I figure this isn’t gonna be more effective than that but expecting to retain anything you only hear once is unrealistic

So it doesn’t work how they portray it. Becoming familiar with the words and then putting them on repeat throughout the night will help strengthen your long term memory of those words but you won’t just fall asleep and wake up speaking Japanese like they make it seem lol many people have claimed to study before bed and then put things like this on repeat and dream in those languages

    • @darkshadowsaver

@@Soyroohonestly don't do it while sleeping your brain isn't fully functioning to learn unless you are in a vivid dream and know you are dreaming. Its just better to listen to it in the morning as soon as you wake up. Japanese is hard so having something like this to listen to on repeat will improve your phrases and pronouncements of said words. Also repeating the words help you too. Also get flash cards and put phrases on them in Japanese and English so yes there isn't going to be exact wording but the context should be the same.

Actually, it's possible. Our brains can do it, but not like the people sold this. You need know something about the language before so, yes, you can improve significantly your knowledge about a language sleeping (nothing like learn words instantly but it can help you to understand it more easily than before). It can help, but not too much. So keep studying is essential.

Damn did you learn Hiragana and Katakana as well. I've been studying Japanese for about 18 months, its really not to hard to speak once you learn the sentence structure. Its hard to explain but its actually more intuitive than English in many sentences. But reading it goes too hard mode once you have to learn Kanji. The only language I can write perfectly understandable sentences, but some how might not be able to read the same sentence if you sprinkle in enough Kanji.

So if you were to study as well while you’re conscious and work on the language when you’re sleeping on the subconscious level, it will make things much easier to learn. Our brains try to figure things out while we’re sleeping too, so you may be dreaming of people speaking the language while you sleep as well

      actually,
if you learn 13 positive grammar and 13 negative grammar=only 26, you'll be able to speak japanese.
      it needs 3days.
you can talk with japanese people forever.
many people who learning japanese learn adult words.
forexample, watashi wa nihon ni ikitai desu.
      (i wanna go to japan)
but, you will naturally learn it later.
1stly, '' nihon ikitai'' you should learn this. it's enough.
      next, negative ver.
      nihon ikitakunai.
(i don't wanna go to japan)
      already you learned 2/26.
japanese grammar is so simple than english at least.
so, you can get japanese grammar and you can use it quickly.
even if you are mistaken a little bit, if you watch japanese TV, you'll notice yourself and your japanese will be fixed naturally.
      so, firstly grammar
      nextly, watch something tv
      3rdly, talk with japanese people.
      →natural japanese speaker.
sorry. my english is too *hit.

Tried it don't think it worked. I went to sleep while a 1 hour of silence video was playing with my big headphones on. Woke up to my headphones randomly placed neatly next to me. The video was still playing but when I checked my phone it says 1 hour in when it should have been quite a few more. Definitely going to try again tho.

Isn't Tasukete kudasai incorrect? Shouldn't it be onegaishimasu?

    • @thevaldis1167
      @thevaldis1167 5 місяців тому

Onegaishimasu means "Please" as if you are begging for something to be given or to be stopped. Asking for help is "Tasukette kudasai"
