  • In this video I will take you through the install of my new Icon - Rebound wheels. You will get to see how the wheels look on the 5th Gen 4Runner and I will also show you how I made them work with 285/70/17 tires. I just love the way these concave spoke wheels look on 5th gens, let me know what you think!

    Nice wheels. Picking out a set of new wheels is always a pain staking process. Keep the new content coming!

    I have installed 30mm wheel spacers after a 2 inch suspension lift on Prado.
    The wheels are still stock.
    I have 3 options.
    Should I get -12 offset and remove spacers?
    Or
    Keep spacers with stock wheels
    Or
    Get -12 offset and let the wheel spacers be there..

      The wheels on the video are 0 offset to reduce scrub radius. If you go -12 offset and get larger wheels you will have a wide/aggressive stance but will also get more rubbing issues especially on your body mount

    Nice. Thanks for posting this information.
    Can you do a review of the OME suspension lift?

      Sounds like a great idea. I’ll start the process of creating a video/review here soon 👍

    Very professional and easy to understand videos.I have the same limited 4runner so I’m getting tons of useful information. I’m about to order the lug nuts in your link, do you still approve the quality, did they resolve the issue you had with threading?

    • @T4Rgarage
      @T4Rgarage  2 роки тому

      Thanks so much! The lug nuts work great with these wheels (Icon-Rebound) and thread on perfectly to the stock threads.

    I have the same icon rims coming in and putting them on Baja boss Mickeys, limeted 2019, which tpms sensors did you go with? Does the spare tire on limeted have tpms? If so will it be universal to another brand sensor?

      The tire shop was able to move over my stock sensors to all the new icon - rebound wheels

    If I'm analyzing this correctly, this wheel and tire install is on a 4Runner which has already been lifted. Am I correct? Thanks for the video.

      That’s correct. 3” lift

    I have a 2022 limited I want to do the same wheels and lift set up I don’t have mud flaps you think I still need to trim?

    Absolutely love these wheels. I live in Halifax and do find them a bit on the pricey side at about $2000 CAD a set.
    I love the look of these though on your 4runner, where I am confused is in regards to the offset. These seem to be 0 offset, many other nice rims like the relations race wheels rr5-s have offsets and I am confused if these would rub or not. Curious on why you chose 0 offset
    Thanks!

      0 offset for 285/70 17 tires is the best choice to reduce your chances of rubbing on the body mount. You will also need a caster of about 4 and you will need a small trim on the front bumper/mudguard. If you want to chop the body mount you can go with more negative offset. Or if you want pizza cutters you can get more - offset as well

      @@T4Rgarage going with the 0 offset as well as the high caster UCA might be the best way to go. Thank you!

    Great video! What amount of lift do you have front and rear? I have at 21' TRD Off Road, 17" bronze Rebounds with 265s and want to go up to 285s.

    Any footage of the final results? Did it fix the rub, how much space did the BM trim free up at compression?

    • @T4Rgarage
      @T4Rgarage  2 роки тому

      I just took it out on some trails yesterday and tested it out. I can confirm that it no longer has any sort of rub. As you can see in the video it was contacting the very edge of the tire in full lock and compressed. I bet if I just let the tires wear down a bit it would have corrected itself without the grinding but I wanted to be sure. Hope that helps

    very nice wheels but is this fit for Tire Size: 265/70R17 ?

    • @JeepCherokeeful
      @JeepCherokeeful Рік тому +1

      That wouldn’t be a good idea, rims are just too wide for those tires

  • @AP24673

    Hey man if I put a 275/65/R17 tires would it rub?

    • @T4Rgarage
      @T4Rgarage  9 місяців тому

      I highly doubt you would have any rubbing

    • @AP24673
      @AP24673 9 місяців тому

      @@T4Rgarage gotcha so I should be better of staying with the stock size to prevent rubbing because I have a new forerunner and I’m worried about bodymount chops and everything.
