I have this mower and am satisfied with it. Just over 100 hours at two years and only factory problem has been the front tires. They lose air and have to air them up every week. Other problems I've had were just normal and a result of my own doing, like when I ran over something that bent a blade and ended up causing a spindle to fail. The belt broke once. Seems the belt wasn't premium grade. Otherwise, a great mower.

Thanks for watching the video and leaving a comment Daniel. No problems for me as yet, very happy with the performance and cut so far. Think I might take apart the swivel points on the front wheels to grease them as I cannot see how you are supposed to keep them serviced. Cheers Dave.

Perfect video mate! Im looking at picking up mine next week. Did you have the part numbers for the mats and the lift lever?

The mat kit is BUC10656 and was $110 fitted by the dealer. The lift link kit is BG20946 $150 fitted by the dealer. They are easy to instal so you could save a bit by just ordering and putting them in yourself. Check with your dealer as these numbers and prices were from last year. Cheers Dave.

Will this manage going up and down hills?

Yes to a degree but for severe slopes I would pay extra for a heavier machine with a wider stance. Cheers Dave.

I have one of these, this exact model, that I’ve been using for three years and it does cut fast, but not well. These need to have rear guide wheels on the deck and a floating deck. I had a Craftsman 48” riding mower (not a zero turn) but with a floating deck that cut superior in every way, without scalping when you encounter berms and such. Problem 2) these have no bagging system available, which is a big consideration for how your lawn looks after mowing. Problem 3) the owner controlled mulching kit works poorly. When the mulching position is selected, still, half of the grass gets discharged out the chute and the other half gets left in your path but not mulched well. Also, the blades will hardly pick up anything like leaves or twigs in your path. Overall, other than looks, this mower is a failure! I can’t wait till it blows up so I can replace it with a good mower. GG

Thanks for commenting Greg. I still have the John Deere L110 lawn tractor which occasionally I put the kids on to help out. I have rebuilt the deck with new spindles, blades and belts and it still cuts pretty bad, whereas I do like the Z355 (but it is new so will see how it cuts after the first season cutting). Cheers Dave.

Change your blades and do more than one pass
