The 954RR has to be one of the best looking bikes ever made.
For me VTR SP is best looking japanese bike but this one is similar
Very similar story with mine. Paid $1,500 for an '02 954rr with 28,000 mi. from someone who thought it had too many issues to deal with. Replaced steering stem bearings, chain and sprockets, deleted the exhaust flapper and replaced the ostrich skin seat with an OEM from ebay. All-in was $1,850. Rode it for 9 months and made a straight trade for an '03 RC-51, which was a bucket-list bike for me.

Awesome walk around you really brought that bike back to life from a lot of people point of view it would have been scrap metal or part out I would have brought it back to life as well nothing runs like a Honda

Nice work! That screen would look OK if the top fairing was red but yeah, because it's black the smoked screen makes the front look huge.

My windscreen/windshield I painted/plastidipped on the underside so it kept the top in excellent condition.

For the money you have in it that is pretty good. Free fairings and existing good tires helped a whole lot. To go much further dechroming it would put you upside down financially but it seems a worthy project for a nice bike like that.

Dang just looked at the description box of the video how can you afford insurance on 6 bikes?? Also, you should include your labor time spent on the bike which would easily clear $5k, so total cost is more like $5950+ on this machine. ; )

I've had a 2007 600RR just like your model I had to sell now I want to go back I'm in doubt 600 or 954? what are your impressions? Does the 954 really feel like the 600's feel in weight and handling with more power? I also like the F4i but since I've had RR for a while, I wanted to experience the feel of 954 it's very seductive I count on your help hug
Dude at this point this is YOUR bike. You should keep it. Also the chrome doesnt look that bad now that the whole bike is complete.
I would for someone to start a series on saving these classis story telling of the history on them .then going and finding one on a budget to bring up to spec like wheeler and dealers for 2 wheels it be awesome am on 2 projects right now 94 FZR1000 and a 2003ZX7R I might post some vids but i dont know how to edit is the problem
Personally I would check the tire manufacture date on the sidewall. I know you said they were put on in 15-16 but if they sat in a dealer for a year or two before being put on the bike they could be 5-6+ years old. Motorcycle tires are pron to get hard as they age (especially for softer sport bike tires) and that means reduced grip. I trust you know what you're doing but tires are the last thing I'm willing to skimp on. Great job on the build, cheers!

You as a rc51 owner in my opinion should keep her.the reason You should own a 954 is the same reason I want a sp2.the 954 was the super model sister to the tomboy rc51.trust me your missing out on one of the best bikes made by Honda and out handles the rc51
If I wasn't looking for a more lower cc bike I would definitely want something like that since I'm looking to get my first bike

I wish your goal wasn't to save money but to get the 954 back to killer shape, well maybe next time, also what were the miles, you know thats the best blade they ever made.
I think I did this fireblade a good service. It was left for dead after all... It has about 25k miles.

It might sound like a heresy to you, but I kind of like the chrome parts, it looks unusual. Not a chrome guy myself at all and I probably wouldn´t like it on my bike too. Just sayin. My bike is a 2007 Cagiva Raptor 650 in red. Would You say it´s a nice bike ?

Remove every chrome part and take them to the powder coater. They will strip off that chrome. Satin black!
