Some birds take to their bath right away and others don't. Mine dove into a cereal bowl with greens right away. Then a few days later I was at the kitchen sink and my budgie came to my shoulder, I never thought that she would dive into the stream of water but she did! Now when I get near the sink I know she wants a bath because she flies right for the sink...lol
Hello new friend!! Lol... I'm going to pick your brain... with all your experience..ty!! So Henry...the new bird friend that flew into my pool area! As he's alone...I'm not wanting him to attach to a mirror ...just hanging out all day with cage close & getting him used to me & my hand in cage with food & treats! Wanted to ask... Is it mean for him to hear your budgies while I'm watching your videos!? Lol...he gets so animated & chirpy!! Is it like teasing him? Thanks in advance!!
I can't give you a definite answer, as I am looking for the answer as well. I think some budgies like to hear other budgies and sing along, and maybe other budgies are curious and want to meet the other budgies sound. when I experiment on this I will let you know. this is an excellent quesiton though.
well, it's a good question. What I do is I give them bath when outside is a good weather, and there is a sun. so whichever budgie takes a bath, can get dried off wit the help of the sun. However don't let the sun hit all the cage, let some of the cage have shadow for any budgie that doesn't want to take a bath or just wants a cover from the sun. during winter, I tend to give them less baths, I give them a bath when inside the home is warm and they have time to dry off before their sleeping time.
In the beginning I've been putting water by their cage everyday but I noticed they do it twice a week, and once a week during winters, so observe them for a while and You'll figure out what they need, good luck 🤞
My budgie has diarrhea for 18 days he is under treatment, here weather is mild cold, Should I give them bath ? He hasn't bath for 22 days 🤔 How often should give bath in winter ?
ik that was a year ago but i have 2 young budgies, like 4 months old. they never go in bowls so we like have to spay them or they smell. i mean the don’t really care
As a new budgie owner your videos are a great help! Ty!

@@BudgieWorld hi i got by budgie 2 days ago should i put my hand in his cage and let it be motionless?
I have a question, how do you know when they want a bath?and when is it warm enough to let them do so without them getting sick

okay, I usually offer at least once a week in the winter and every other day in the summer once it gets above 75 or so.....
Should I give my budgie a bath daily?? N what about in winters?
Bath never hurts, and if your budgie doesn't wanna swim, he won't swim. the more you see he wants to bathe you can give him as frequently as he wants.

I do give them bath all year round, make sure your room is warm and windows closed until bird dried.
Hope your bird is better❤️
had a bowl in the cage for a couple days and no interest yet just put some grass in it still nothing :(
Mine loves a lettuce leaf or 2 in her bath.
Our budgie keep pooping in the ath water instead of bathing in it
Most of my budgies do not like bathing, so I use a spray bottle instead, and they like that
