Here's my FULL The Boys Gen V Episode 5 video and Easter Eggs. Let me know how many you spotted! Here's my FULL Loki Season 2 Episode 2 video too! ua-cam.com/video/NDmjD8PzcJc/v-deo.html
That shot of the Dean stirring the tea has to be a Get Out mind control reference They might've had a similar shot when Marie was meeting with her but I'm not sure if I was just getting a Get Out vibe from her at that time
I actually really like that the theories about cate were right she was the only character i feel like was underdeveloped. Im glad we get this extra layer to her character.
I think it’s fitting that Cate was the one wiping them and has an obsession with control to keep friends safe. I was afraid she was going to be a secret villain that didn’t care so this is a much better direction imo, it’s very fitting that she would be petrified over a situation she can’t control
My favorite detail was when they had the girl turn small and ride the 🍆. It sounded so real like when they slap on my girls butt, also when she punched his nuts it's literally the same smack sound mine makes when my girls massaging them slaps mine, before taking in the whole 🍆. We were also thinking how great the show is.
wow i never realized the invisible kid is the son of translucent also this was a really good episode cant wait to see what marie can fully do at the end of the series you should make a video on power scaling of the heroes who are left i think marie has potential to be at homelanders level also loved the puppet scene it reminded me of the old school show angel where angel was turned into a puppet by magic and drained people with his puppet vampire form
Maybe Soldier Boy shows up in a flashback where we see him observe "Black Noir" being dosed w/ whatever is making Sam hallucinate the puppets? Maybe Noir was once an experiment of the Woods? I mean that might be how the scientist is trying to 'control' Supes, create hallucinations that can affect the Supe that's hallucinating them. Black Noir's hallucinations convinced him to go back to Homelander after all...
They’re doing such a great job with this franchise. It’s like there’s a throwaway line in season 4 about the development of the virus and some genius said, “You know what? That would be a really cool story to see.” And they were right.
Man, that puppet fight scene was next level. I laughed my ass off like the lunatic I am for being entertained by this glorious raunch fest. But it was also brilliant for the context of his character.
I don't think its area of effect, I think she got to them one by one after this incident at Cardosas house. Otherwise Sam would of also had his mind wiped, since we saw her do it to him in the past. Cate likely also lied about Rufus, so when he says "It's not what you think" I wonder if Cate walked up behind them while they were sitting together and put them in that situation.. And its likely his junk healed, he didn't seem to have a grudge about it.
I dont think Cate lied about it. I think that the reason Rufus didn't hold a grudge was because he was actually about to do that stuff to Marie. And also, i think if Cate was there we wouldve saw her either when it was revealed that she betrayed them or when we saw Jordan pov of Rufus and Marie talking. I think she pinned it on Rufus because of what he did to her and because it makes since for a guy with psychic powers to mess up somebodys memories. And also, there has already been stories about Rufus and what he does to people. Cate probably only told them about the story because Marie told her about her experience with him. (sorry this is a lot)
16:40 The Dean says that she, Marie, has a benefactor. Meaning she has someone else that is looking to capitalize on her abilities and is wealthy enough to keep her out of testing.
What I find so interesting is how the characters in the show all follow the theme of not being what they seem. Like the writers introduce them one way but then reveal they’re completely different
I thought the episodes was ways too short ,but it was the best one so far captured the college vibes finally Im excited to see where the group goes from here.
I haven’t seen anyone online mention the fact that Ryan is the first natural born supe, so the fact that Andre and Maverick both share the same abilities with their fathers was either looked over or a big coincidence.
Think they were still injected with compound V ryan might just be naturally born because of the amount of compound V in homelander Andre's dad seems like he would inject him
I was also wondering that. I think ryan is still the first born supe. The other two kids were probably injected with compound V and since their DNA is similar to their parents, they got their parent’s powers
I have enjoyed the puppet massacre! I like what they did with cate, I truly believed rufus was erasing them. I also feel like they revealed her too quickly or that she undid her wipe too quickly. Overall very cool episode and recap!
Cate clearly didn’t want to do this. When she told her brother to go away, she essentially lost her parents too. The Dean manipulated her and became her proxy mother, just like she tried with Marie. Cate dropped her major for management to “manage” Golden Boy, but the Dean wanted to control him. Cate went to Sage Grove with Golden Boy only to calm Sam down (the Dean works at Sage Grove). When they said Sam died, she refused to use her powers and the grief he had wouldn’t let him look for Sam. Luke probably found Sam in the basement and Cate was forced to suppress his memory over and over (that’s why he only sees visions of the woods). Tek Knight saw her taking her glove off in episode 4 because the Dean wanted him gone, but he immediately caught her and the interview was forced to continue. Cate clearly doesn’t want to do any of this to her friends, but the Dean keeps manipulating her.
i have a crazy theory that sam isnt actually insane, every time he seems to go off those security agents are always near by so my theory is there is device setting him off just like how there is a device that can hurt you just for having powers from the second episode
I’m curious to see how Marie responds to the school trying to create a way to control supes. Like I see her hating the secrecy and experimenting on kid/teenage supes but she’s already experiencing the more dangerous/unhinged characters so I can see her thinking it’s a necessary evil. Also interesting to see how her blood bending powers get more refined.
Mad theory but with the differences between the comics and the show what if it is ryan who ends up going crazy after his time with homelander and homelander ends up having to stop his son. that would be unexpected but i think would be cool to see
18:09 nah its an rfid tracker. Thats also probably how theyre finding sam constantly. Starlight took hers out in season 2, i think when they went to research stormfronts liberty identity.
So we now Marie has a benefactor ,but i think its victoria neuman they have similar powers ,and she definitely know about the woods seeing as she is anti - supe ,and the woods wants to control super heroes she probably also grew up with marie in that orphanage of supe kids plus weve seen shes going to show up in the series in a later episode i just think its her lol.
thanks for the explanation as to what the scientist wanted Marie for, I wasn't sure what he was referring to. I remember Magneto able to control people by controlling the iron in their blood, I'm imagining that she has even more control of blood.and now I'm curious whether Andre could do the same as Magneto. I'm curious too as to what Soldier Boy will be doing in the next episode.
Im NGL the way this started i thought i was tripping for a sec like my damn mind was wiped 😂🤣 loved how everything came together with this episode and excited for Soldier Boy coming back on the next one!!
The Tek Knight thing was a clue, everyone thought Kate could only touch the person directly to use her powers, but turns out she can effect multiple people in the same area. But she still must have to touch in someway to do it...hmm but i thought even with her taking off her gloves, it would be weird to touch Tek Knight at that moment, So he probably knows she doesn't need direct contact.
Robert "Bobby" Singer is the characters name of Jim Beaver in Supernatural. Robert Singer, the writer, director and producer of the series did not appear in The Boys, but he did appear in Supernatural, when the broke the 4th wall.
Big thanks to Emergency Awesome, no one covers this amazing show and universe. Another amazing brakedown, and another fantastic episode! Thank you, Charlie!
I just hope that theres gonna be a scene between soldier boy and rufus since they both were in supernatural, some reference where soldier boy calls him jack or something dean would do, but its just soldier boy 😅😬
I knew Cate was shady from the beginning, when she jumped to the best friend when her BF died . Or maybe she was with andre the whole time and wiping his memory? And soldier boy at the end? Maybe they had his memory wiped and use him Winter soldier style?
I think its possible (not likely) Vought deems the Scooby Gang too troublesome and maybe they bring Soldier Boy out of cryo so that he can kill or capture all of them
I think your wrong about Cates area of effect power. Every single time Cate is shown on screen using her powers she takes her gloves off and physically touches the person.
@14:54 man I hate to be that guy but the actor who played Robert Singer on the Boys is named Jim Beaver, who also played Bobby Singer on SPN. Although as I think you've mentioned before, Robert Singer was also a producer on Supernatural. Too many people and characters with the same name dangit!
One thing that stood out to me was the Marie/Rufus scene in that it's the first time we've seen her manipulate blood inside someone else's body. Massive powerup if she can control it
I've seen the sign 'No Lookie Loos!' sign in a few places, is that just supposed to be like a Stay Out sign or is it some kind of easter egg? I felt like it looks too stylised to be a regular sign.
My prediction for all of this is that Marie will figure out her powers and eventually be a weapon against shoes cuz she’ll be able to seperate the V outta their blood….effectively shutting off homwlanders powers like u said.
Can’t wait until Marie can learn to control the blood in other peoples bodies fr. Like just start exploding ppl or freezing them 🧐. She could really do so many cool things, I see why they doctor wanted her
The Dean talk about a "benefactor" , so I don't think the ranking has anything to do with this (especially since the can change it however they want like Jordan). It's a baseless thought but I think the one protecting Marie is Victoria Neumann, just a hunch. I'm pretty sure that they're developping an "anti-sup" serum behind Homelander' s back, unless it's something he wants too since his big fight in season 3 (I still think we haven't seen the last play of Stan Edgar but it might be unrelated). Rufus probably didn't do anything to Cate since they talked about his assault on Marie but when it came to Cate he mentionned the "Jumanji" incident instead. Cate probably told that story to put the target of the group on Rufus but she failed to realise that her "Boyfriend' might seek revenge and be too fast for her to control him. Cate will have a redemption arc or die trying to have one.
Sam puppet massacre was fkin amazing and gruesome and Cate being the baddie villain was interesting especially after the blackout I loved Marie, Andre, Jordan, and Emma so I’m interested to see how all this plays out this episode was pretty solid for what it was tho so I can’t wait for more The Boys and Gen V breakdowns and Easter eggs.
I was wondering the same. The video side she has 'area of effect' but her actions seem like she Has to touch a person and not just be near them in order to use her powers.
Jared Padelecki as Hughie in a gag episode where he takes something experimental to ward off the brain tumors from Temp V, and a temporary side effect is looking like Jared Padelecki, and complains about having to go back.
Wait it just dawned on me before finishing the video what was dripping from the ceiling 🤢 and the puppet scene was my favorite. Poor Sam. I’m rooting for him.
How would you force Homelander to take the new control serum? You couldn't trick him easily, he would smell it almost certainly. Maybe force feed it to cryo Soldier Boy and then control him to force feed it to Homelander with help from the other toughest heroes?
If they put that in them earlier, some would’ve felt it like the blood chick. And Kate was used she looks like a monster and may become one but I don’t think she let her humanity go yet 😂
I’d like to know how much damage Marie could do against Homelander using her Blood Bending powers. Can she create massive Blood clots inside his vains then have them go to his lungs or heart or even his brain giving him a stroke putting him in a vegetative state
Are you kidding me, Homelander would sense something is off and laser beam her head into another dimension 😂 I love how everyone is so fickle and is now like "homelander doesn't stand a chance" 😂 yeah OK then
@@adam.677I know he’s still the most powerful. I just wonder how much damage she could do still. I mean if he’s focused on something and she can take a few moments when he’s talking with someone and cause his blood to start extremely clot there’s some damage that that could do!!
I’m confused because Vought didn’t put Soldier Boy in Cryo, the CIA (Grace mallory) did. Also, Stormfront didn’t *let* anyone do anything, she got fucked up with no hope of getting better, and they wouldn’t freeze her. Stan Edgar says he has to appease Stormfront, nothing is ever said on Vought’s end about freezin these supes
Soldier Boy is locked away. I don't think he's around. It was probably a mere flashback, unless they planned on waking him to test his blood, which might be able to nullify powers, the same experiments happening at The Woods during this time. Therefore it's possible he's a awake, but I don't see why you would want to awaken someone so dangerous, ruthless, irrational, and angry unless they felt they can control his mind, which I doubt.
Sam becomes the next Black Noir. Same had a Black Noir poster in his cell. The original Black Noir saw cartoons, Sam sees puppets, this is a fix considering they killed the original Black Noir off and he plays a major role in the story
I have a feeling Ep6 is gonna be a crossover ish one where they encountered soldier boy at some point during The Boys last season..hope I'm wrong but that little woods teaser seemed the same as the one from season 3
I think that's only thing in the comic book thing but that wasn't translated to the live action tv show In the comics only Homelander has a biological child But in the show Victoria Newman has a daughter in the boys tv series I think supes can have kids on the tv series but might not inherit their powers e.g... why Victoria Newman gives her daughter V to jumpstart her powers And Andres Dad was a superhero Stormfront also had a daughter who died of old age in the boys tv series
They thought Supes couldn’t have kids and then homelander had Ryan. That happened at the end of season 1 lol. They’ve been showing supes with kids since then.
Did enough people not comment who Jared padalecki should play last week? You asked the question exactly the same way confusing the hell out me thinking I accidentally went to the last episode..

@@stfu5013 You're right, but it'd still be a laughable sight.
Soldier boy is appearing on episode 6 !!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 hell yes I can't wait bro !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Finally someone mentions jack from supernatural is rufus 😂
If the vials of compound v are so expensive, how was pop claw and a train getting it to use as a recreational drug during season 1?
I’m confused because Vought didn’t put Soldier Boy in Cryo, the CIA (Grace mallory) did. Also, Stormfront didn’t *let* anyone do anything, she got fucked up with no hope of getting better, and they wouldn’t freeze her. Stan Edgar says he has to appease Stormfront, nothing is ever said on Vought’s end about freezin these supes
❤❤❤ been waiting for this all day 😊
No problem! Thanks!
@@emergencyawesome😊 thanks for all the breakdowns and entertainment really appreciate ❤
I feel like the Cate and Shetty scene is a foreshadow of Cate is her daughter that was mentioned
Sam would make a wonderful black noir 2.
I like that they teased it since the first episode, like Golden Boy died cause he remembered his brother cause she didn't keep him in check
I still don’t know Sam’s actual power set is.
Cate told Golden Boy to kill himself next time he speaks to Andre
17:57 - The device looks just like the one that Frenchie cut out of Starlight in Season 2.
Tracking chip
Sam becomes the next Black Noir. Same had a Black Noir poster in his cell. The original Black Noir saw cartoons, Sam sees puppets, this is a fix considering they killed the original Black Noir off and he plays a major role in the story
Didn’t Kate make up all the stuff about Rufus?
Thank you great video
Rt 420 is in Staunton Virginia
gahd i loved the puppet section. that shit was HILARIOUS.
Just watched up to ep 5 . What a wild show.
I have a feeling Ep6 is gonna be a crossover ish one where they encountered soldier boy at some point during The Boys last season..hope I'm wrong but that little woods teaser seemed the same as the one from season 3
I thought supes couldnt have kids? big plot point on the boys... yet here we have translucents son and polaris' son
I think that's only thing in the comic book thing but that wasn't translated to the live action tv show
In the comics only Homelander has a biological child
But in the show
Victoria Newman has a daughter in the boys tv series
I think supes can have kids on the tv series but might not inherit their powers e.g... why Victoria Newman gives her daughter V to jumpstart her powers
And Andres Dad was a superhero
Stormfront also had a daughter who died of old age in the boys tv series
They thought Supes couldn’t have kids and then homelander had Ryan. That happened at the end of season 1 lol. They’ve been showing supes with kids since then.
That move for the show was dumb as hell
Marie blood powers reminds me of Skarlet from mortal kombat
my prediction that none of the five are not going to join the seven
By far the best hero show out it’s not even close
Did enough people not comment who Jared padalecki should play last week? You asked the question exactly the same way confusing the hell out me thinking I accidentally went to the last episode..
Loool! I juuuust finished watching the episode! You are right on time.
Perfect!
I went to college and the parties were JUST like this.. without superpowers.
