I had a customer here in the cigar shop yesterday who had just returned from a trip where he spent two days hiking around and watching that volcano he had some great footage on his cell phone I told him about your UA-cam channel. My Fascination in this event is with how there must be connectivity between that molten lava and the molten Center of this planet, Journey to the Center of the Earth in the specially-designed craft able to withstand the Heat🤔☕ thanks for taking us on this adventure with you👍
I was thinking that with all that heat inside the planet, why is it so damn cold where I am right now? Come to think of it, we do have occasionally active volcanos, but nothing like this one. We make up for it with earthquakes, but they don't warm us up - just make our buildings fall down and scare the life out of you. (I live at the top of New Zealand's South Island)
WOW!! Completely extraordinary. Congratulations Ian on the brilliant footage. Watching that folk should just take a moment to think about whats going on here; how far that magma has travelled, how much energy is involved, what is beneath us at the earth's core, and gasp at the sheer beauty. 👏👏👏
Ian, don't let this go to your head but,, you did a superb job on this, I loved the beginning and all you explained, glad your there, stay safe,, thanks for posting
Wow! Amazing video! And you explained it all very well... I'm going to Iceland this coming 19th hopefully I can see it too.. Thanks for the video... 👍😉😏
Awesome Video Ian!! I Have Enjoyed All Your Videos Of The Iceland Volcano, And Look Forward to Viewing Your Other Videos Of Iceland!! Thank You So Much For Sharing Them With Us!!
Simply beautiful and amazing footage, Ian. Congratulations. Enjoy the remainder of your time in Iceland and stay safe. Looking forward to any new footage you capture while there. - Bill from the States
Another great video. Just what I wanted to see. It’s such a unique opportunity. Most times volcanic eruptions are either in the middle of no where and impossible to get to. This one seems be almost perfect though of course not ignoring the fact you are in the presence of something which could make things go bad very quickly. Anyway can’t wait for more footage.
Epic footage. This has to be one of your most memorable flights surely? I have just bought an Air2 and gone through all of your videos to learn how to best use it. Many thanks for your information sharing!
Great stuff Ian, I’m gobsmacked at how stable your drone flights are especially over the crater itself! Thank for all your info about visiting and the places for the best shots; you certainly have got some Epic footage mate; as always stay safe & egészségedre ( cheers🍷👍😎)
Thank you! Amazing video footage! So nice of you to share with us this once-in-a-lifetime awesome flight over the volcano. An amazing earthly phenomenon that only a few humans ever get to experience in-person. It was mesmerizing for me to watch. Thank you, again!!!
Wow that volcano was raging so when's the mini 2 going to have a fly over lol wicked bit of footage Ian wish i was there don't think my Somerset holiday footage will compare to that 😁 keep up the great videos can't wait for the next upload 👍👌
WOW, great views Did you attempt to use the mini 2 up there? Just curious if you think it would have done a good job or not? Can't wait to see more of Iceland by drone!
Great job Ian! I was worried that your drone would melt over that intense heat! Really enjoyed watching nature in action! Did you notice any effect on your drone when you inspected it after the flight? Thanks for sharing.
@@IaninLondon Thanks for reply Ian. You are one of my favorite subs! Keep up the great work and sharing your knowledge about drones. You have taught me so much buddy!
Great shots buddy. Looks a little different since I saw it last week. Loved your sunset sights. We went to the place you were the first time and then to the other route the second time and could see much more with our own eye from the other route. Still couldn't get close to the lava, but the sulphur gas was intense so we stayed back anyway. Truly a magnificent experience. Awe that brings me back to childhood wonder and magic. Glad you got to see it!
Outstanding shots, is there many people using their drones at the same time. I could imagine the airspace busy. Thanks again for taking the time to share them outstanding shots.
Awesome footage Ian. I was there early June and walked up to the tourist hill the day before the lava crossed the path, effectively cutting off the closest vantage point. A few days later I did a helicopter flight over the eruption site with a 30 min landing. Just mindblowing.
Love the videos you have done. By far the best drone bids I have seen of the volcano. Do you plan on flying over the other ones there that have now gone inactive right behind this one. Would love to see them and what they are like. Not seen a vid on them. They seem to get missed. Great videos again.
Great footage inside the crater. Your description date is July 8, which is the date you posted this. What day did you actually film it? Volcano hasn't been very active and it drained out early this week, but there has been a glow in the last few days, alas no eruption overflow.
Guessing the "keep your drone within your line of sight" rule doesn't exist in Iceland!!? 😆😁👍 Best footage I've seen if it, nice and steady thought out shots, brilliant!
All you need to know on how to see this incredib le sight. Stills for sale at fineartamerica.com/profiles/ian-inlondon
You asked, and it complied.
Never get bored of looking into that lava lake! Beautiful footage!

It's an amazing thing, as you say, like a window to the centre of the earth....👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The heat would be the least of your worries. Think of the pressures in just deep water let alone deep magma.
Where most people see beauty I immediately see a great energy source. Amazing. I want to live near a volcano.

I live near this spectacular beauty. You are right you really do feel the energy. Bit hard to describe really but Its immense
Wonderful footage Ian. wish i was taking in all those sights first hand, but you do it for us. Thanks!
Absolutely amazing I’ve never seen anything like this before. Nature at its best.
Awesome. And the music is beautiful. The patterns the lava makes are incredible. Thank you.
Absolxutly EXCELLENT presentation. Well done young man! 🌋🎇😻😻
Absolutely breathtaking shots! Thank you for sharing them. 🙏🏻

Simply amazing
Amazing footage, awe inspiring. Somehow it’s calming just to watch that cauldron of bubbling lava.
Fantastic Video again. I’m a school teacher and I’ll be sharing your videos with my students when we do our unit on Geology later in the year.
I was thinking the exact same thing, will be sharing with my students as well!
Excellent! Not many times you get to see right into a crater and see the waves of lava flowing out. Glad to help 👍🏻👍🏻
Love your videos, makes one feel like actually being there!! Please always add the date so that one can follow the developments and progress, thanks.

Absolute footage of a lifetime, mate.
WOW, great views
Did you attempt to use the mini 2 up there? Just curious if you think it would have done a good job or not?
Can't wait to see more of Iceland by drone!
I only brought the Mini 1 as a semi disposeable if I wantd to get real close to the crater, but it kept losing signal......
Beautiful & Amazing like to see more
Wonderfully done mate! Liked those top-down shot straight above the crater! Wish I could visit, Thanks for sharing this amazing footage.
Great work. It’s fantastic to see it. Looking forward to your next one. Stay safe!

Another simply awesome video. Thank you once again.

There were around 10 people; it's a very large open space...... :)
Ian in London thanks for the reply Ian.
Ian, it's hard to comment >> EXCELLENT!!!
Wow! That was some amazing footage of the caldera bubbling and building up to an eruption. Just beautiful to see! Thanks Ian 🌟
Brilliant video and you take all the risks with your equipment well worth a like and subscribe thank you Ian.
Once again, amazing footage Ian. Honestly, I'd be timid to fly my drone near the crater for fear of losing it.
Cheers 👍🏻👍🏻
Very well done sir. Please keep up the good work.
Stunning footage 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Absolutely brilliant. Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us! 👏😎
Excellent! Thank You! Wish I could be there.

Wow
Fantastic footage, thanks for sharing with the world!
Whoa.
Fantastic footage.
This is incredible Ian! If only your drones could measure the temperature I wonder what it would read? Steven.
I should have put a temperature probe on there :)
Great footage. Are you not worried about the intense rising heat damaging your aircraft? Stay safe friend.
That's why I used the 2 Pro and not my nice new Air 2S.... :)
Well done Ian! Absolutely incredible 😍👍
Insanely good shots!

look like you made the journey just in time, I was looking at going on the 19th but it appears to have gone to sleep now, excellent footage :)

Hi Sue; this was filmed Saturday 3 July but it took me a few days to edit (as I'm having too much fun in Iceland on holiday! :) )
You did it again, amazing!
