Thank you! I have recently subscribed to your channel and today is my day off work, so I am watching as many as I can that pertain to what I am doing. I haven't ran across one yet, but, do you have, or could you make, a video that shows how someone can make their own font? I have a specific idea for one that would fit into my category of business, but I haven't been able to figure out how to make it yet.
Fonts should show up in lightburn immediately after install, with out a restart of the app. Added about 20 new fonts over the week with out any issues.
Related, This may not always work for all applications or user accounts. A better way is to right click the .ttf, .otf, or other font file, and choose "Install for all users" or More options -> "Install for all users" I know that for Inscape, fonts wont show up if you just click Install. Also, to access the ALL USERS option, you need to extract the font files from their .ZIP archive first, or these options will not be shown. :)
It also doesn’t work on Macs or Android. This was to help with XCS and lightburn. Has served me well for years, the video was not intended to be a fix for all programs or network configurations.
@@TheClackShack I am just saying, if you install the font "For all users" you will not run into issues where a program can not find it. If you just install, lightburn "May" see it, but other apps wont, and you will have to hunt for your original file, and install it again, but for all users. May as well do it once, for all users, and be done. :)
Very helpful. Thank you so much.
Very welcome..
Thank you!! It was easier than I thought!!
You're welcome!

Making a font set is a whole can of worms. You can change characteristics and offset them to create variants.
Thank you Clack!

Its a precaution to be sure it works. Kinda like rebooting windows after updates.
Does this work with XCS also?
Yes, they will be added under SYSTEM TYPEFACE
How about XCS, sir? Thank you.
Same thing.. Restart app
Thank you

Don’t go crazy with fonts, the more fonts you have it will slow down windows, especially if you get over 1000 fonts fyi.
Fonts aren’t gonna slow down my PC. 64 GB of Ram and all the fixins
