Just found your channel, it's really helpful, thanks. I never conceived of the idea that Psy Com is necessary, but it really helps.

The thought of not seeing my loved ones again is my action trigger.
Unfortunately I don’t get to train as ‘realistically’ as id like to or should, but this content is invaluable in attaining some understanding.

Deep questions. Questions I usually never hear anyone ask on the usual combatstreetfighturbansurvivalzombieapocalypse channels. Great video man!

I'm not sure if you heard him say it ever but it was really interesting to hear Lenny Maclean talk about this.. he said that, in the moments he had, before every fight he ever had, he would quickly think about the person in front of him doing things (to people he cared about) that enraged him to the point that he was filled with pure "hate" and wanted to kill them.. he was adamant that no man had ever beaten him..
i think you're totally right about subconscious, just letting ourselves act freely without interfering with our instincts in these situations, it's when I've tried to avoid conflict when people attacked me that i got seriously hurt.. but when i just let myself act and was determined not to let them hurt me, even at times they were literally trying to kill me, i only got a tiny scratch at worst
have you any ideas on good ways to train when we have no training partner available? it's very hard to find people to train with most places i go

WOW, really liked this thought provoking video. Started thinking of any future altercations. Yes, can only think of reasons I would be willing to fight to my death, and that would be obviously to defend my family, and if the situation was going badly and the thought of not seeing them again, just because some mindless thug has attacked me and is willing to inflict unknown damage to me. Then thought about the things Lee had mentioned, a car space, someone spilling your drink, looking at you the wrong way, all of the little incidents that you can easily rise to because of your male ego. Admittedly in the past I have been guilty of this, not any more. Willl walk away, deescaalte the situation in anyway, or as Lee has stated, they give you no other option but to fight. In the recent situations that has been in happening in my country, Britain, can see this becoming more dangerous to apply.

There's so much I agree with in what you say....an example is walking ny dog ...I let him run around but keep him in sight and if he looks like he's annoying another dog (he's playful but not violent, some misconcieve his mouthing as biting but he just wants to play)...if I can see that he is being too much I go and put him on the lead and suggest to the other dog owner that he can be annoying but means no harm. Having said that it is my/his park too and he loves to run and there's no way I can keep up with him (he's a Basenji BTW). Yesterday an owner gave me a serve indicating that I was a shit owner, irresponsible etc and he was agressive with it so I just listened until it became to argy bargy and told him, "someone needs to put a lead on you mate!" And having been able to defend myself in the past I am always prepared for such statements having an effect on the recipient if they look a bit 'handy'....he did the idle threat thing as he walked off and I reciprocated (shouldn't have but couldn't help it)....truth is he was one of those who might have responded violently and despite being ready, what a waste of time it would have been over a dog and his poor attitude, better to have walked away, said nought? But then again bullies need to be stood up to? it's a moral dilemma.

Can l respectfully ask if you might be the bully?A better way to introduce your dog would be to approach the other dog and owner with your dog on a lead and ask if they can play together and say your dog has this trait . If he says no then off you both go but if you watch from afar and the dog is already mouthing the other dog , he has had no option but the one you decided was ok because he is your dog. Can you not see how that would make someone uncomfortable and possibly defensive and aggressive?
Not being a troll, just asking if you see that?

If i was walking my dog on a lead and another dog came out of nowhere and was harassing mine and i see that the owner was far away i would yell at him to call his dog off, i would be pissed off.

You are a perfect example of why I carry a special walking stick. the moment your dog got within 3 feet of me and my dog (stick length) I would serve the dog with a cease and desist notice.
You lack the ability to perceive as others do. From my perspective I have to assume your dog is going to attack because it is uncontrolled and uncontrollable by you it's owner... My assumption is the ONLY default safe stance!
I had a '' he's only playing' dog charge at my 9 year old daughter late last year in the woods. That dog needed a £2600 operation.
      I didn't pay the bill!

i am so sick of people with dogs who don't keep their dog away from me when it is "playful" or barking aggressively at me when I'm walking along minding my own business just trying to enjoy a nice walk to see the wildlife where i am.. owners let their dogs run ahead and the dog gets defensive and the owner does not tell it everything is ok so the dog thinks it's doing the right thing by barking at me so it gets MORE aggressive when the owner does not tell it to stop.. I've literally had dogs biting my ankles (luckily i was wearing boots) and the owner didn't call it away from me or tell it off
and i got accused of being out of order when i got a bit cross about it
when it was biting me when all id been doing was walking along a path in a golf course
and the amount of dog owners these days who expect other people to be ok and silent about the fact their dog is getting VERY aggressive at us if we are walking along towards them (on a footpath) and i ask politely "can you tell your dog to stop being so aggressive to me" and they say "my dog is not aggressive" as it barks and snarls at me as it is (in its mind) defending its "pack" when all i have been doing is walking trying to have a nice day and being civil to people
it's crazy how bad owners are these days.. they think it's ok to let their dog be aggressive then they act like I'm the bad guy if i start to tell them to tell the dog to leave me alone
why the hell should we have to put up with dogs coming up to us barking at us when all we've done is be out for a walk and being polite to people if they say hello etc
Sick of it.. it happens more and more these days.. dog owners just expecting others to be ok about their dogs running up to us barking at us..
i get told the dogs are not aggressive, but then if i came running up to the dog owner shouting like that at them and then i said I'm not being aggressive i don't think they would like that at all really
      it is SO bugging..
Keep your dog on a bloody lead if it won't respond to commands to leave people alone
not many people want unknown dogs running towards them barking . the dogs owners think it's just something we should be ok about but it's not nice AT ALL as why on earth SHOULD we be expected to put up with ANY creature being aggressive to us..
but no the owners think it's us who are out of order.. but how would you like it if i came running up to you shouting and saying "I'M BEING PLAYFUL YOU expletive deleted
