What do you suggest for a horse that loads his front feet, stretches all the way inside the trailer, but keeps his back feet on the ground and won’t budge?

Yes my friend is having same problem. He literally takes over an hour to load.

How can I solve my mare running backwards out of the trailer and she always smacks her head on the top. (it's a stock trailer)

Sierra Larson if its a stock trailer don’t tie her in there send her in and call her out until she gets used to being loaded and unloaded and your issue will solve its self

I will have to try this with my mare! I know it's not so good to bribe your horse with treats and trick them to going in but she is so funny:) We put some hay+grain on the trailer floor and she ate it as close as she could she looked like she was on a cliff! I really hope she loads:/

My horse goes in, but backs out immediately and I have no way to stop him.

How do you teach an 18month old filly who might have been wild to get into a trailer. I'm asking this because we are going to be going to a show in a few months and she's terrified of trailers. Every time I try to get her to walk past one she balks and just stares at it with huge fearful eyes. She was also going to be sent to a slaughter house in Nevada.

Meaghanne Scheering you are making it an issue that she can’t get over because she sees you and how you get ready for her to act up and so she does on cue

Im really surprised how many trailer loading videos there are when this is one of the easiest things to teach a horse and I will never lead a horse into a trailer on the first time I tell them to get in while I stand outside clear of them backing back out and just in and out until they don’t seem to mind it and then put them away I find so many people have issues because they don’t do it until they are going somewhere and then fight to get them in and finely do win but loose all they gained by slamming the door because we don’t want him backing out it took us an hour to get him in when in reality if they did it when they were not in a hurry to go somewhere it would stop being a problem

this is so fake. there is no way that a horse that has never loaded before ( or that has problems loading like this woman claims her horse does) is going to go in the second time.

I SOOO agree. In the first couple of seconds the horse walked right onto the ramp. He never loaded because she was blocking entry with her body in my opinion.
