@@AshtonNCooper Eh, if you actually watch that part of the game Stroud was finding Egbuka and Fleming on the underneath stuff for big chunk plays. Just his presence on the field changed the entire gameplan for the UGA defense and led to a bunch of success for the other WRs
(not to mention plays like 17:03 where Ringo would rather commit blatant PI then let Marv have a chance at making a catch)

I thought he was the clear cut #1 pick this draft and it's not close even without this game. The fact that Bryce young is even in conversation to be picked ahead of him is a joke. This kid is the next star QB and a franchise changer.
@@NOFOCKYOU Bryce young is the number 1 QB without question. Besides height and weight he beats out the competition in every other way IMO. Maybe Levis has more arm strength but young is the best off script qb in the draft and that quality is the most desirable in today’s NFL

As an Ohio State fan since the 1970s I can put Stroud alongside Justin Fields as the best I've seen. He has such a strong fluid throwing motion. It is going to be difficult to replace Stroud and I think this is the 2nd best game I've seen an OSU QB play - Justin Fields against Clemson in 2020 was the other. I will follow Stroud during his NFL career. What a joy to watch.

@@TheWokeSportsFan There were serious questions about Stroud before this game. Legitimate questions about his 'toughness' and whether or not he was able to do what it takes to win a game. This game was what Buckeyes fans have been asking for for 2 years. Also, having Fields and Stroud for the last 4 years it's easy to forget about Dwayne Haskins. Saving the game against Michigan and then his 1 full season as starter. Whether it's Kyle McCord or Devin Brown, it would be a safe bet that Ryan Day and Corey Dennis will have one them pick up where the others have left off

UGA alumni, saw this game in person. I figured we were gonna steamroll our way to a chip. By 4th quarter I was preparing myself for OSU to win it. We had no answer for Stroud early on. He was electric. I knew he'd be good in the NFL when I saw how he performed against us.

It's funny seeing the "he showed things he never showed in this game" comments as a CJ fan. A lot of these plays are all over his film. The throw at 7:28 is identical to a play he made to Olave his first year vs. Rutgers. Just goes to show as competition increases his play remains consistent.
7:28 absolutely an NFL throw. Poise, evasion, dart without having his feet set for a big first down. Then he does it again the very next throw for a TD to MHJ. THESE plays are what excite me and I hope the Colts draft him.

For the life of me I'll never understand why the Panthers passed on Stroud. Head and shoulders the most well-rounded and gifted passer coming out of the draft and the most NFL ready. And he went on to prove that to everyone in his rookie year, breaking records. Not a Panthers fan or a Texans fan, so no skin in the game for me... I just love watching this dude play. I actually prefer that he's in the AFC, where he'll have to compete against all the other elite QBs in that conference, think it'll make him even better in the long run.

Texans nailed it with CJ, I mean he finished in the Top 10 All time (#7) in career passing completion percentage in college. He diced up Georgia's defense in the air and on the ground, he is the real deal.😊

He can throw through tight windows, it’s anticipation and consistency in the pocket that’s main issue. All that can be fixed also
He will be fine he can throw tight window throws. Also the hashes in college are wider so it makes defense harder too bc it’s so much ground to cover he will be fine.
He has all the tools to be great at the next lvl.

He reminds me of Geno Smith, but the 2022 version. Still lots of room to grow. Everything he does looks so smooth. Throws with touch, timing and velocity. Above average athleticism (legit speed when he gets out in the open). Landing spot determines so much of whether or not QBs succeed in the NFL but get this man in a modern offense with a few playmakers and he could be a very good NFL player.
The throw on Second down where he gets turned around was huge for Georgia, he doesn’t turn he sees Ekbuka wide open and he’s running for a first down if not more. So many would moments that just didn’t go Ohio States way.
This is one of the performances when the losing teams player should earn player of the game

@@kevinchavis2755 not really. Young is a smaller, less accurate, worse under pressure, but more athletic version of Tua. Both have some injuries and both have avg arms for NFL
This kid is really, really good. Only thing really is that boundary accuracy is a little inconsistent, but that's mostly footwork coaching. Can make any throw he wants to, lightning release, has downhill speed with legs. 1st round pick all the way.

CJ stroud just moved way up on my dynasty draft board.
Ever since I saw this game I feel like Ohio State losing this game was for a reason, for stroud to end up where he is right now in Houston, not in the sense of him getting drafted there and not going #1 overall in the draft but this whole video showed that no matter how big the stake of the game was nor the scenario like being down a couple points or even losing your best players on offense, it didn't stop him from showing up and he showed that mindset and play in many games this past nfl season, Ohio State may have lost the game but stroud put up amazing stats that prove why he is the most composed and NFL ready quarterback to come out of the draft in a while, Houston got a legendary qb that will shine no matter how bright the lights are.

I like Bryce but he’s too damn small and I don’t think a good enough athlete to dominate with his legs in the nfl. Cj is tall with a good frame and is a way better athlete than he ever gets credit for. He’s just gotta get better outside of structure cuz all year he’s been kinda inconsistent and forces too much when under pressure.

@@jamie-ou8xv every 300 pound defensive lineman in football would need a breather with the large amount of possession time that Ohio state had offensively. Jalen Carter was chasing CJ Stroud everywhere and finished plays with effort. He was a large reason that CJ Stroud needed to consistently leave the pocket and make plays on the edges Jalen Carter will learn to manage his stamina better as he progresses. Dominate interior defensive lineman are rare and incredibly valuable.
Yet, the defense let us down AGAIN...
Was such a joy to watch this game, him and Day almost put it all togeher, but OSU lost and its bittersweet... What could of been, bring on Kyle Mccord and let's look to 2023...if they can stay healthy, CFP bond and they have shot... Kyle Mccord is the real deal calling it now!

Don’t know what happened, made one from 48 yards earlier, but either bad hold, or just hit it badly! I saw the hold again, looked good to me, just think because it was from 50 yards this time, he just overcompensated, and hooked it badly! As far as I’m concerned, Ohio State outplayed Georgia, with a very depleted team, and still should have won! Georgia had to pay off the officials on that reversed targeting call, so they would have a better chance to win, but still Ohio State could have, and should have won! Dirty football at Georgia, it was done intentionally to try to keep Ohio State from winning!

So colts can be deceptive but it will still likely cost them a trade to #1 pick. Stroud is just that good and the closer the draft gets the more his hype and stock will rise.

Pretty sure he threw a td rolling left against Iowa on a play nearly identical to the miss he had to MHJ here. So he definitely can do it. Might be inconsistent but that’s nothing improved footwork can’t fix. So to say “he can’t” do it is a bit strong.
