for people interested in Tata Punch. I just bought Tata Punch BS6 Phase 2 on 21st April and its awesome. Engine noise and vibration are gone, You don't hear any engine noice at idle . Drive is superb, Build quality gives me so much confidence.. Though its same size a swift but it appears much bigger. I did 540 km round trip from Delhi to Mehndipur balaji on the first day of delivery and here are the mileage details : Overall mileage : 18.5 KMPL Road details : 200KM expressway drive with 90 KMPH (2.8 RPM) 250KM state highway with speed around 60-80 (not a single stretch where I could drive 2-3 km without braking, a lot of intersections nd breakers) 100KM : City driving : 50KMPH Hope it helps
I've also just booked an Accomplished dazzle AMT model after multiple considerations and research. I also took a test drive of both manual and AMT, I thought AMT is better as I work in a metro city and will be taking up a 300 kms highway drive to my hometown often. I have a 1 year old kid and hence I thought safety is important. I always wanted to have a SUV and the punch provided it. I'll get the car in a week or two.

Punch headlight are awesome in bad weather conditions. I've driven it in heavy rain and the headlight works like a charm. So if you regularly faces bad weather conditions then I'll definitely recommend Punch.

Maruti's selling pitch has always been "in case of an accident, we are safer than 2 wheeler". Most cities today get flooded every once in a while due to unpredictable weather. Bangalore is 3000 feet above sea level and but gravity does not work there sometimes in monsoon season. High ground clearance will make a lot of difference when you drive through 1 feet of water.

I am having Baleno 2017 petrol i am really satisfied with the car but if you cruise it to more than 90km/h you'll not feel proper control And the new Baleno 2022 is superb I tried at 125 km/h it was amazing But tata punch has better suspension and controls So I'd prefer Tata Punch overally But Baleno performs better in City If tata punch would have a 4 cylinder refined engine like Baleno then Punch would've killed other cars in this segment

You are not clear about "Build Quality". You are taking 'structure strength' as build quality. Structure strength is not build quality, but a small part of it. If there are gaps, abnormal sound, troublesome working of components, etc., the build quality cannot be said good. For example, if a pen does not write smoothly, its cap is loose, ink leaks, then its build quality is poor. Not the strength of its body.

By the way I have the 2020 Toyota Glanza and it doesn't feel very different from the Baleno but 2022 Glanza clearly looks quite different from Baleno if we compare only Baleno and Glanza . But awsm comparison!

Thanks for the comparison.I bought Tata Punch accomplished variant, comes with the refined BS6 PH2 engine which performs decently & has adequate features for the offered price like cruise control etc which is a necessity when driving though the express highways. I have driven along the mysore kannur (kerala) ghat section which was my first long trip & found very much comfortable,. I had fixed my budget to around 8 - 8.5L , but accomplished features changed my mind to increase the budget to 8.8L which i think was the best decision.

Hello If possible can you show a detailed video of Punch to see if front co-passenger door opens at a speed of 50kmph if the speed sensor actually works after 20-30kmph or not ! Because I have seen in one video where front co-passenger door was opened even at the speed of 60kmph. As this demo video would be helpful to anyone who will be considering Punch as sometimes families will face to carry 3-4 kids where they will make them to sit atleast one kid in the front passenger side which will be somewhat risky from driver's mindset. And I have seen child lock for rear seats too & is this available in all variants ? Kindly show the front door locking & unlocking procedure 🙏 Hope you will consider this suggestion 🤝

Please help. Make a comparative deive review between Tiago AMT and Punch AMT performance. I feel as Tiago is also 4 star in safety, it should be a better option as its also very comfortable, cheaper to buy, good safety and should have better performance due to lighter weight.
I watched the comparison thoroughly took the test driven of both the cars clearly glanza was a better package overall amazing refinements and features which lots of them rachit didn't even mentioned but it lacks build quality and punch has good build quality but lacks refinements and smoothness in driving which is also essential for daily commutes then I concluded to go for Skoda Kushaq
I have tata puch adventure rhythm 2023 No vibrations and noise at all at idle Sometimes it feels like you haven't even turned on the engine i swear. Drove at the speed of 120kmph still no such irritating noise and vibration felt. Tata hai to possible hai And about the off-road and hilly area best even comfort (from Himachal)

LEDs do not perform better on wet roads during rainy season as compared to halogens.

You get Brezza vxi. I think its vfm. You get big car with big engine

The biggest drawback of punch imo is the door lock handle from the inside.

You are not clear about "Build Quality". You are taking 'structure strength' as build quality. Structure strength is not build quality, but a small part of it. Build quality means that every component is made with standard material, with standard manufacturing practice, and perfect workmanship in fitting it. If there are gaps, abnormal sound, troublesome working of components, etc., the build quality cannot be said good. For example, if a pen does not write smoothly, its cap is loose, ink leaks, then its build quality is poor. Not the strength of its body.
What you are referring to is fit and finish.
Build quality = Structural strength
Fit and finish = panel gaps.

By the way I have the 2020 Toyota Glanza and it doesn't feel very different from the Baleno but 2022 Glanza clearly looks quite different from Baleno if we compare only Baleno and Glanza . But awsm comparison!
@motoroctane this was a very good review. But one thing that nobody does comprehensively is the brake test in different speeds and different terrain and environment. Trust me if you guys start that then you will be the pioneer in this segment in India
Which car do you suggest Punch or Glanza i live in Kolkata but very go to my native where the roads are not very good.
Thanks for the comparison.I bought Tata Punch accomplished variant, comes with the refined BS6 PH2 engine which performs decently & has adequate features for the offered price like cruise control etc which is a necessity when driving though the express highways.
I have driven along the mysore kannur (kerala) ghat section which was my first long trip & found very much comfortable,. I had fixed my budget to around 8 - 8.5L , but accomplished features changed my mind to increase the budget to 8.8L which i think was the best decision.

If possible can you show a detailed video of Punch to see if front co-passenger door opens at a speed of 50kmph if the speed sensor actually works after 20-30kmph or not !
Because I have seen in one video where front co-passenger door was opened even at the speed of 60kmph.
As this demo video would be helpful to anyone who will be considering Punch as sometimes families will face to carry 3-4 kids where they will make them to sit atleast one kid in the front passenger side which will be somewhat risky from driver's mindset.
And I have seen child lock for rear seats too & is this available in all variants ?

Wear seatbelt so if you find it open then also you will be at seat ....and it's always dengerous to keep baby on lap because in accident airbag will them very badly so always put child in back seat

Pleas ye bataiye ki Tiago AMT aur Punch AMT mein kaunsa better performance deti hein. Basics dekhe toh lagta hein Tiago AMT should be much better as its a light car but same engine and gearbox!!!! Please help. Make a comparative deive review between Tiago AMT and Punch AMT performance. I feel as Tiago is also 4 star in safety, it should be a better option as its also very comfortable, cheaper to buy, good safety and should have better performance due to lighter weight.

I watched the comparison thoroughly took the test driven of both the cars clearly glanza was a better package overall amazing refinements and features which lots of them rachit didn't even mentioned but it lacks build quality and punch has good build quality but lacks refinements and smoothness in driving which is also essential for daily commutes then I concluded to go for Skoda Kushaq

No vibrations and noise at all at idle
Sometimes it feels like you haven't even turned on the engine i swear.
Drove at the speed of 120kmph still no such irritating noise and vibration felt.
