This is the prettiest ship I’ve ever seen. I love a good party, but this is more of a relaxing time. I would definitely book this for a relaxing getaway.
I have to sail this ship! I sailed Silhouette, which is older than this ship but still very nice! I love that there were so many places and nooks to retreat to, it never felt crowded. I'm not a cruise pool person either but I loved the solarium. I spent a lot of time in the pool and hot tubs. Shipwise only, I think Celebrity has an edge on Virgin. Great video!
@713skywalker my son is playing in my birthday cruise next year leaving out of Galveston if you're from down there could you please recommend the best barbecue because it doesn't make any sense for me to come to Texas and not get any barbecue.
@TheJennDanielle the cruise ship that my son is planning on taking me for my birthday is the first and only cruise that we went on back in 2012 yes it's been that long however instead of leaving out of Miami Port it's leaving out of Galveston now but the ports are different
Our first cruise with Celebrity was on the Beyond which I've heard is very similar to Ascent. We cruised in November 2024 Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Coco Cay. The ship is beautiful. Like you JD I loved the spacious bathroom and the Infinite Veranda. The 4 restaurants were a 6 however we enjoyed the buffet and I'm normally not big on buffet person. It was more of a relaxing cruise. We went on Virgin a couple years ago and enjoyed the cruise. The furniture on Virgin is more of Ikea v/s middle level furniture store on Celebrity. I wouldn't hesitate to cruise either ship but the luxury feel on Celebrity was one of a kind. If I would have to state a negative the coffee bar($) and dessert(included) wasn't my favorite. The pastry chef should be fired. Although the desserts looked delicious quite a bit weren't good and lacked enough sugar and oil. I don't like very sweet desserts but I don't like dry desserts. I look forward to returning to Celebrity in the near future.

I agree 100% about this being a good alternative to Virgin. I want to try one of the older Celebrity ships as soon as possible.
