I love a private dining room. You can make them so elegant and it’s wonderful to entertain in a separate dining room. Great property. Very elegant and modern
I've never seen an Atherton home before, it's really mind blowing. My 1966 Oakland home has what appear to be the same bricks. I'm going to tell my wife, which will likely end up with her rolling her eyes at me.
Firstly, thank you for timestamps, its very helpful. Secondly, I enjoy the variety we've been getting recently on this channel. I will always enjoy a classic Elisa flip, but the opportunity to learn from this guest content is super great too.
It's interesting that a lot of buyers are still looking for open concept in the Bay Area, I've heard that this trend is actually starting to be on its way out - that people are looking again for more of those separate living spaces - mainly due to Covid and many people embracing working from home. You need separate spaces to work and sort of disconnect from the main living spaces. Curious if that trend hasn't quite made it to the bay area yet since I think a lot of those mega tech startup companies are still trying to get people to go back to the office. Will be interesting what happens over the next few years!
Finally, to the lady who’s always commenting about the walk-in closets being small in Bay Area houses thinking that a $2 million house is “affluent”. This is the affluent home for an upper middle-class family that’s purchasing hundred thousand dollar handbags. :) I still prefer the houses in Hillsborough to Atherton/Menlo though Simply because of the history Of the Burlingame area.
I never want the stress of working constantly and chasing the all mighty dollar but when I see beautiful homes like the one you are showing today it makes me wish I had piles of dough! Thank you both for a wonderful tour. Great show!
Hi Elisa can you please talk about remodel strategies for rental properties? How do I do "just enough" remodeling and not overdoing it (remodel-wise) for rental properties in San Francisco rental property market? Thanks!
Yes! Thank you for your interest. I actually just launched my coaching program, Transform Flipper Academy, to teach people to flip houses the right way. If you are interested, you can apply here: transformflipperacademy.com
Beautiful!! Love all of the natural light!! So agree that the master bath needs to be updated with a free standing tub and marble would be pretty!! Thank you for sharing!! 🤍
House is gorgeous, but with outdated bathrooms and kitchen what millionaire will pay that much for it? Maybe someone that plans to do renovation anyways?
many millionaires buy homes and remodel them even at this price point. Many people will also remodel even if the house doesn't need it to fit their taste.
I watch this video then I went back on UA-cam and typed in $10 million homes also in California and this house doesn’t even compare a little bit the other homes I guess you’re really just paying for the lot not the home
…that’s how it goes here in Atherton. Been here most of my life which is over 50 yrs, it has always been an the upscale enclave with estates on over an acre lots with properties on flag lots command a higher value. This part of town has an average of an acre and still has more original homes that has kept its old world aesthetic which is dotted with mature trees that leads to the hedge lined driveways that are mostly gated. I grew up close by in Middlefield Rd. which was remodeled in the 80’s was just valued at $8.9 M.
I live like 15 minutes away from this house...so weird to see this house be estimated at 15MM dollars. its crazy how quickly prices have appreciated over the last decade.
@@jasonkuma6546 no. Redfin is not accurate. You still get the value of the house from Zillow and Redfin? I am a real estate broker and it doesn't work that way.
@@NerdNest0 I mean how else would you estimate the value of the house? Appraisal or you literally just use comps... which I would assume Zillow and redfin do. idk how they came to 15MM but it looks like they changed it to the list price anyways so it doesn't matter. True value can only be determined once bought.. who knows it might sell for way less than 9MM given worsening market condition. I say < 8MM or it sits on the market for quite some time.. ig only time will tell

My favourite is the garden, the house is nice too but the garden is gorgeous

I like Drew’s enthusiasm and is knowledge of the area

Great to see the channel diversifying in content. But I love the Before and After above all. Congrats!
Great video! Love the floorplan.
I love the kitchen a little bit closed off.
When cooking a big meal and sitting down to eat you don’t see the mess in the kitchen
Such a beautiful home and the grounds are stunning.

I agree, I prefer separate areas :) and to be honest, I love shown property, the only thing I would change is master bathroom.
Beautiful inside and out.
You’re really good at this Ms Elisa👍🏼
Keep the good work 😍
I think your 3.5 one looks better JS.
This is interesting to see. Thank you for showing us!
Excellent video! Love the outtakes at the end!

She recently wrote a book. Maybe your answer will in there

I love the tub way more than freestanding even though that is what’s in style
If you have the money to buy a house in cash (multifamily) house. Is it wise to or use the banks money?
If you have to ask this question you don't have 9m in cash.
Hello! NICE channel. I'm your fan +👍🔔
Does the home use a septic system and well water?
No, it's on city water and sewer.

Definitely buying for the lot for this to be a tear down
Water bill here more than your mortgage
Great place, probably worth closer to 2.5-3.5 million though.
Lol DREW DORAN! He had almost no idea how quick that intro was gonna be :) very cool video

It's nice but not my style. It doesn't feel very homelike. There is an element of coziness missing. I like the oak flooring and built ins best.

Has to be cause I definitely don't see 6m more for this home. I'd take the 3.5 mil anyday.

Honestly, the style is dated, even it’s nicely maintained
Can’t you buy it? You already hustle and can’t you afford it?
Way over priced. For that price, this house doesn't impress me at all. Outdated kitchen and bathrooms for 9 million dollars? No thanks.
I live like 15 minutes away from this house...so weird to see this house be estimated at 15MM dollars. its crazy how quickly prices have appreciated over the last decade.
It is not 15. It's $9MM
@@NerdNest0 list price is 9... value based on comps is 15.. just check Redfin lol.. I was talking about value of home not list price

9M is 9 Million. There is no need for an extra m.
