When recording a small vocal group, sometimes placing the singers around a single mic can allow them to naturally control the blend and balance in a way recording one-at-a-time can't. Here are a few ways to record a small vocal group as a single unit.

Hi there! When you’re positioned farther away from the microphone, these types of sounds are usually less noticeable. However, if you are experiencing problems with these types of sounds, especially with plosives such as “p” and “b” sounds, a pop filter will help reduce them. Thanks! - A-T USA

Great video! Newbie question here, how many track(s) will appear if you are to record with two singers like at 0:55, will it be two different tracks or just one track with both vocalist recording together?

One track with only one of them, you have to duplicate the track and reverse the phase and you get the other singer :)

Melmo Tendes not right, the vocals are blended on the same mono signal…Pay attention to their proximity from the mic,to be well balanced together

Recording multiple vocalists on a single mic saves HOURS of mixing and keeps the track count low, saving lots of CPU!

Lmfao they got phase problems when the two singers sing at the same time. Clearly the lady is closer to the mic than the man xD

I don't think they have any problems with phase. They are using a a figure of 8 microphone correctly, recording two sound sources positioned front and back. The singers levels are well compensated by distance: the louder singer is farther and the quieter is closer. Looks and sounds good to me!
