The prophet (SAW) told us to follow the Sahaabah as well as the Shaykh said, particularly the 4 Khaliphs.
The Prophet (SAW) held Hazrat Umar (RA) in high regard, there are many occasions that Allah sent down wahee in response to Hazrat Umars statements. Therefore as the Shaykh said if we say we only follow authentic Hadith then we will be ignoring the Hadith of the prophet (SAW) telling us to follow his Sahaabah.
That is why we have ulamaa, because one Hadith cannot be understood in isolation, one has to look at all the Hadith to have a complete picture.

follow scholars of today who have access to only hadith not sunnah then may allah give u jannat ul firdaus because quran and hadith are the source of guidance to the straight path but don't go around labeling everything.
and quran orders us not to make sects and the one who still does it (make sects) doesn't have anything to do with islam (he's out of the fold of islam) so fear alllah, do what your heart says and don't create problems in the ummah

There are there different versions of that hadīth.
You should know that there are there different versions of that hadīth. Qur'an alone, ahlul-bait and the sunnah.
There is no this hadith in bukhari or muslim as I know this hadith is not sahih

Good oh 4.20 he said authentic hadith mention to sunnah and sunnah from four caliphate. And which speaker in the beginning said not follow only hadith and he is going to read Hadith to prove his point to follow sunnah. Woh amazing to listen this guy.
I think we should say, follow the Quran, path of Prophet (Sal) and the unanimous opinions of Sahaba. Because, there have been incidents where Sahab's themselves had differences of opinion among themselves regarding some issues. Not during the time of Prophet (these matters were clarified by the Prophet (Sal) himself.). So, it's better or more correct to say, the unanimous opinions of Sahabas (Rali).

He wrote to 'Umar, to ask him (a question), and 'Umar wrote back to him telling him: "Judge according to what is in the Book of Allah. If it is not (mentioned) in the Book of Allah, then (judge) according to the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah [SAW]. If it is not (mentioned) in the Book of Allah or the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah [SAW], then pass judgment according to the way the righteous passed judgment. If it is not (mentioned) in the Book of Allah, or the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah [SAW], and the righteous did not pass judgment concerning it, then if you wish, go ahead (and try to work it out by yourself) or if you wish, leave it. And I think that leaving it is better for you. And peace be upon you."

Millions upon millions of Muslims pray in arabic who do not know the meaning of the verses of Quran they recite but their ajr will be with Allah subhana-hu for actions are rewarded based on intentions. Try to read the translation of those Suras snd verses that you recite in prayers so that you know what you are reading and saying. Jazak Allahu khairan.

Masails are already cleared by 4 imams and scholars after them throughoutthe history, so todays scholars of hanafi maliki shafi hanbali fiqha indirectly have the experience of 1400 years, they'll solve your masala

What is more worthy to be followed the Book of Allah that was directly without any crookedness revealed to Muhammad as a guidance for all of mankind and which is Ghatamal Quran last of the revelations or the volumes of books that was compiled by a scholar called Hadiths which is not even a Revelation of Allah and was not even authorised by Allah to be followed? Surah2:1 This is the Book (Quran) which I have revealed and it is the Mutaqeen who will have no doubt in it. Now read verse 2 by yourselves and find out who the Mutaqeen are. Don't argue on a public forum about matters of your Deen in front of your Rabb the One who sees and hear everything.

Adhering to the Book & the Sunnah Means Adhering to Salaf: By Shaykh Muhammad Bazmool Translated by Abbas Abu Yahya
'A person may say that the Messenger sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam said:
((تَرَكْتُ فِيكُمْ أَمْرَيْنِ لَنْ تَضِلُّوا مَا تَمَسَّكْتُمْ
بِهِمَا كِتَابَ اللَّهِ وَسُنَّةَ نَبِيِّهِ))
'I have left among you two matters, if you hold on to them you will not go astray, the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of His Messenger' and he did not clearly say 'and his Companions.'?
Also, If I adhere to the Book and Sunnah will I not go astray?
So, what is the answer:
The answer is from a few angles:
The first point: we say to this person is that the one who said this statement: 'I have left among you two matters, if you hold on to them.....' is the same one who said:
((فَعَلَيْكُمْ بِسُنَّتِي وَسُنَّةِ الْخُلَفَاءِ الرَّاشِدِينَ
الْمَهْدِيِّينَ))
'Upon you is my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly guided Khulafah ar-Rashideen.'
He also said:
((مَا أَنَا عَلَيْهِ وَأَصْحَابِي))
'What I am upon and my Companions.'
So, why do you believe in some of the Sunnah and disbelieve in some of it?
The second point is: We say, okay fine, if you are truly acting upon the Book and the Sunnah, then in the Book, the Qur’aan is the command to adhere to the methodology of the Companions -as in the previous evidences.
Also in the Sunnah there is the command to adhere to the methodology of the Companions -as in the previous evidences.
Therefore, if you were following the Book and the Sunnah then it is obligatory upon you to follow the path upon the methodology of the Salaf because the Book and the Sunnah both order with adhering to the methodology of the Salaf.
The third point: we say, there is an (al-Ijmaa') consensus of the obligation of following the methodology of the Salaf as-Salih -May Allaah be pleased with them all.
The fourth point: we say that this statement is a Bida and misguidance. No one from the Salaf as-Salih -May Allaah be pleased with all of them- ever said this.'

Gulam mahiuddin don’t say anything you hear. There is no such thing as a “wahabi”. No one says “I’m wahabi”. Wahabi isn’t a sect. But one thing for sure is that, Al-Wahab is 1/99 names of Allah. Be carful what you say. The criticism of using the word “wahabi” is used by people who hate Muslims In general. Don’t be one of them. And don’t play with Allahs name.
