That car is gorgeous. I really hope whoever bought that car takes care of it. Too often great cars like these fall under bad ownership and it’s sad to see
we have a 1997.- a jack nicholson-40 thousand actual miles. know should sell but where would i get a 2nd car like this and price??..almost perfect condition. small dent back fender always garage kept.

@@antownemercer7552 Not at all. The 4.6L 2v engine in these cars are legendary for their bulletproof reliability. The 4 speed trans is much simpler than all the newer 10 speeds they have out now. The key is making sure to change your fluids regularly. That doesn't mean waiting 100-150 thousand miles to change the tranny fluid, I do a pan drop every 30-40 thousand miles so I always keep fresh clean fluid in the system. I'd use a quality synthetic oil every 5-6 thousand miles. Trust me, this is how you get a long service life out of your vehicles. The only real problem you might have depending on where you live, is keeping the car from rusting out before it dies. I personally NEVER drive mine in the winter/salt.
One thing to watch is the number of threads for the spark plugs to thread into is a bit low on this engine design, so there have been cases where the plug has blown out while driving. The simple fix is not to torque the plugs to what the book says, because its too low. 23-25 ft/lbs seems to be the sweet spot.

The price is posted in the description when they are for sale. On these older videos I would take the price out when they are SOLD and modify it to say SOLD, like this one does.
@@specialtymotorcars i wish you left the price...its a barometer for the market...some of your prices seem high but you get gems like few can dream of, so get what you can get! seriously, it blows me away what you find!
Anthony I'm picking mine up on Monday. 70k miles. Executive L. I'm so excited to take my lady out in it and all my buddies
That car is gorgeous.

Big pippin!!
Damn that is gorgeous! It's like porn for car lovers lol
Bozo! Never slam a rear lid on a Lincoln. Take it down slowly and it will finish the job for you. Slam it and damage it.
Yes when you slam the trunk on a townie it becomes a Gonzo
A.G. What did that one sell for , I would love a car like that . I currently have 2 towncars , mint, 95 Cartier and 96 signature
Just bought a 2007 Executive L like this with 14k miles. Stay tuned.

Very clean
SOLD! 2/1/2019
How much?
Approximately what did it go for (Price, would be interested in something similar )
TaskMaster2006 that’s too many miles for me on a classic car. I would never buy it unless either I or my best friend was a mechanic.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
It's just not a Town Car until someone pops the trunk and guesses how many dead bodies you can hide back there.
Haha I get this comment all the time
How does the under carriage looks like, and how much
Id love that car
Do you still have that Black 1986 Pontiac
Long gone!
My Town car "L" series is 6" longer then traditional Town car ??
Yes that is what the L is. You noticed the difference in the back seat floor area.
nice car
Is it true these get up to 300k miles?
600,000 easily with proper maintenance.

Ni los Mercedes tienen el andar y la comodidad de los Lincoln.
Do u still have?
No but I just acquired a 2007 Executive L with 14k miles. Listing in a few days
@@specialtymotorcars only 14k miles like what is asking price?
Beautiful and classy, though not sure about that front bumper. Looks too much like a protruding bottom lip.
rusty under the hood ? ..
The car was a one owner car from New Hampshire. So it was exposed to salty conditions. Rust would be expected
@@specialtymotorcars what kind of rust protection have you used?
I want it cash
I need one..call me and I buy.
