The first song is Minor Swing, one of the best known Gypsy Swing pieces made famous by the Maestro, Django Reihnhardt, accompanied by stephanne Grappeli. The Second track is a Tango by Astor Piazola called Libertango.
+clive seymour Clive, your post is from a year ago. Can you tell me a little about the real gypsies, their heritage, culture, music. I love this music. I need to read a good book on their history, but since they generally didn't attend schools, at least for very long, their history is rather a mystery? I hope you see this and tell me how you know about these musicians .... Thank you :)
@@JanDurgen I have a theory as to how they got their music. I guess this is also a little bit of history too. the gypsy people got around pretty much all of europe and the Mediterranean area. I heara lot of influence from the Iberian Peninsula, germany, and italy mostly but their style of music was probably influenced by every country. The gypsys would hear music they liked and take it back to their caravan and adopt its styles into its own. Over time they created their own sound from all these different styles. I know its been 4 years and im bot the guy you asked but i hope that helps you understand a little but more about this group of people.
what a great trio! i am surprised at so many people passing right by this wonderful moment. stop and give yourself some time to take in this beautiful art form. let it swing!
this is so beautiful, art. its just a different kind of joy then the one i get from folk, blues and pop or even classical music. its life, its so vivid!
They are so good. Love hearing the songs this way. So funny. The first time I heard Libertango was back in 1981 of Grace Jones first album. Loved it then too. Hope these guys are playing bigger places. They are fantastic.
Great musicians, sound is pretty good all things considered. Any more of this? Good to know this is music still living! Excellent rendition of Libertango. The Maestro is smiling on this version!
The first song was Minor Swing, by Django Reinhardt, a wonderful rendition of a wonderful Gypsy Jazz classic, I might and, and the second song was Libertango, by Astor Piazolla, the pinnacle of Tango Neuvo, also done quite amazingly.
BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO MAGNIFICO ZUUUUUUUIPER BUENO HERMANOS Buena música y jazz tocada por jente joven muy rítmicas dinámica mucho sentimiento integrado en su ejecución
Marvellous by everyone and nearly untopable. They n e e d a c l a r i n e t. I suggested Hamburg s Martin Schmidt-Hahn on clarinet because of his warm clarinet-sound and his brilliant ideas !!
Pretty amazing what kind of talent one finds on the streets. This is a great group. The violinist, Joshua Bell, a few years back played on the streets of my city to see who, if any, would recognize him. Few did although I was one of the few. I gave him a fiver before I recognized him.
makes me always angry when people pass by and totally ignore, i which we could have this kind of art in madeira island, we had this homeless guy one time, i as a kid and it was awesome to hear him playing but he died and now i just walk trough the city and no music what so ever !!! it sucks
+jordanaug81 Yes, the accordionist effortlessly puts out perfection. No accidental slurring together of two keys at the same time here !!! Wow. I love that violinist, too :) All of them are GREAT
The songs are Minor Swing and Libertango (which is tango and not jazz, Julien Guillaume), I'm pretty sure there are some tutorials or sheet music you can find by searching them, they are quite wll known! :)
great find, Steve. Thanks for these two pieces. The first one from Django Reinhardt's Minor Swing. The second looks to be an arangment of Kurt Weill's Youkali Tango Habanera
Most of the peoples never get it: It took soo many time to master a instrument. So these musicians are pro! Shame that they never get payed and have a "normal" life. respect. That sounds a lot better than my publik radiostation!
+mainmajo How WONDERFUL that you understand. So few people do. I can see they are professionals, though I'm no musician. All those people just walking by and not giving them any money - AWFUL :(` Wish I knew more about the mysterious history of the true gypsies. I read a tiny book which gave me some information about their lifestyle, but not nearly enough.... Have a great day if you see this, and even if you don't :)
Nicely played, but you should update the ridiculous description. First song is Minor Swing by Reinhardt and Grapelli (1937); second is an Italian tango from 1974 called Libertango.

what a great trio! i am surprised at so many people passing right by this wonderful moment. stop and give yourself some time to take in this beautiful art form. let it swing!
How do they not have a huge audience surrounding them.
this is so beautiful, art. its just a different kind of joy then the one i get from folk, blues and pop or even classical music. its life, its so vivid!
Awesome! These guys deserve to be heard. Good job for recording and posting this.
Amazing! Well done. This is what real talent sounds like. This trio should be making millions and Bieber should be busking in the streets.
Pánové hrajete vynikajícně, vaše muzika má hlavu a patu, výborné improvizace, výborná technika, jste zkrátka zlatí. Bláha Bohumil
They are so good. Love hearing the songs this way. So funny. The first time I heard Libertango was back in 1981 of Grace Jones first album. Loved it then too. Hope these guys are playing bigger places. They are fantastic.

Harry Stergo Thank you soooo much! I've just found some new music i go nuts about! Cheers!
+Harry Stergo Oh, thank you for that information....
Gypsy Jazz isn't necessarily played by Gypsies, just like Hip Hop isn't necessarily played by Black Americans.
Que buenas interpretaciones!!!
nothing unknown about the second tune, it's Piazzola's Libertad. Wonderful musicianship.
Amazing!!! Thanks for sharing!! I love gypsy Jazz!!
Fantastic talent right there! There is so much happening musically here. Listen and be glad!

Hermoso! Los músicos de la calle me alegran la vida. Mis respetos a los grandes artistas.
I wonder where they recorded this. If it were in my little town, the city would be hiring them to play a concert.
I could totally marry any one of them! So love music like this!! So talented!!
I do not know enough positive and complimentary adjectives!
Is my favourite song since I was 13 defines my personality
Shout out for the accordion guy.
On the second song, I was more interessed on him playing than on the violinist.

Who are these wonderful musicians? I'm classically trained violinist but I really want to know how to play this kind stuff
Xiaojing Pu then u have to play jazz. Accentuate number 2 and number 4 on everything you play. Then you re playin jazz. Enjoy
The songs are Minor Swing and Libertango (which is tango and not jazz, Julien Guillaume), I'm pretty sure there are some tutorials or sheet music you can find by searching them, they are quite wll known! :)

Nicely played, but you should update the ridiculous description. First song is Minor Swing by Reinhardt and Grapelli (1937); second is an Italian tango from 1974 called Libertango.
Not italian, it's Libertango composed by Astor Piazzolla (born in Argentina)
But hell, he knows all those numbers and letters about his camera!
because lots of people used to ask question like this
VERY NICE
the first song is called Minor Swing from Django Reinhardt
The second one is a Tango, It's Astor Piazzolla! one of the greatest tango composers in Argentina. Look it up.
