The Black Excellence Brunch | Skidmore College Traditions by Anesu Mukombiwa ’24

Anesu Mukombiwa ’24, a senior English major from Zimbabwe, reflects on experiencing community and celebrating Black history at an event organized by the Skidmore student club Ujima. One of Skidmore’s oldest multicultural clubs, the group brings awareness of African, Africa American, and Caribbean cultures to the campus and community by organizing events including its Black Excellence Brunch during Black History Month in February.
