In the advanced palette, there is a section labeled tremolo. Click that and then click the option that says "eighth through stem" That should get you the diddles. Musescore updated all the percussion sound fonts so I think I'm going to re-do this and all my other cadences!

The annoying thing about lots of scoring software is that the snare taps and accents sound the same and are too loud
