    Excellent video Craig, really liking the longer videos. Very informative and that brickwork was clean even before jointing. Really hope you do fine the time to cover more of this build.

    This is one of the best explanation videos on youtube for this type of work - very well done mate! Do you need 350mm trench blocks for new building regs to get 150mm cavity?

      I’m not sure if you can get 350 trench, we just built two skins of 100mm on our recent 150 cavity’s. Interesting to know if you can get the 350’s though if anyone knows

      Isn’t 3,4,5 checking the diagonal ?
      If you’ve got it perfectly square using 345 any measurement along the lines will prove it’s accurate. Pythagoras. GCSE maths had some use after all 😂

      @@marccooks7377 suppose it’s just the reverse way of doing it. Pull any line off a house wall at 3,4,5 and you know it’s perfectly square unless somewhere along the whole length of the house wall the line goes off

    Use a laser level, my friend. It will help make your starting point easy. You will see where it strikes the square.

    why not just measure off the house and mark it on the block? Use corner blocks so lines are easily adjusted.

    Get yourselves a cross line laser and detector mate. You'll set out with better accuracy in fraction of the time.

I agree the site is easy, pinned corners and then just go 75mm all the way to the top 😂 dont get me wrong I do enjoy building houses, just not for the big players.     So glad i changed my trade bricklayers dont get paid enough from top to bottom. 20 years time served not worth a carrot. Build the country n get paid peanuts

      Your kind of right mate, there is a ceiling that tops out around 50-60k isn’t there. I found anyway. I’m not the quickest anymore but give quality so still get a good take home.
      I think if you stay in the game and want more out of it you need to be thinking and working outside of the box. Land developments for yous self.

    You are making this way to difficult,use a wooden stake in each corner,pull your line around each stake pull diagonal measurement,when that measurement is the same you are good, you move the line up or down to get your elevation
