- Welcome to our channel! We took a 7 day western Caribbean cruise with Princess cruises leaving from Fort Lauderdale FL. We went as a family of 9 people, including our 3 children. We stopped in Princess Cays Bahamas, Jamaica, and Cozumel Mexico. We had a wonderful time and will be sharing it all with you!

I was just told by Princess that your drink package is NOT included on the island.
That’s what I heard
It is not included for Carnival cruises that stop at Princess Cays but the drink package does work for Princess sailings. I've experienced this first hand a number of times.

Hello! Yes there are water taxis that go back and forth from the island so you do not need to stay all day. You can still buy a drink without the beverage package the same way you would on board, with your medallion. Hope you have a great time!

Lots of discussion about the drink package. From first hand experience: If you are sailing on a PRINCESS sailing your beverage package (plus, premium now) will work on the island. If you are on a Carnival brand sailing your cheers package will NOT work on the island. It doesn't make a lot of sense given they are all under the Carnival Corporation umbrella but this is 100000% how it works. First hand experience many times over.

No! That is not true. Carnival Cheers package is only good on the ship.
It actually is correct carnival also owns princess cays as well so everything is all inclusive

Sand fleas? Respectfully, I don’t think you know what sand fleas are 😂
Actually, it is a real thing, also nicknamed No-See-Ums, particularly in this region. If you research sand fleas and the Bahamas, you will find a ton of information. I urge you to do your research on it, as I was uninformed before we went and was very itchy for the rest of my trip due to the many bites I sustained while there. The staff said that the sand fleas were bad and that time of year (which was in February) is when they are the worst.
I think you are actually talking about the slang “sand fleas” which almost look like small locusts and people use them to fish with from beaches. There are actually real sand fleas but completely different.
