Fun fact: Rory is played by Brianna Hildebrand. She also played Negasonic Teenage Warhead from Deadpool which blew my mind.
When I first saw Lucifer I was like where have I seen her before and had to look it up.
She also has a line in Trinkets where she says, "the devil got a bad rap."
Literally every single episode since her debut has had this comment under it
bruh im watching Lucifer right now just to watch and playing bloons at the same time
No Don't bring Trixie!
.
.
.
I will cry." Lmao aaron. 10/10
oh he will eventually.
Lauren German's acting in this episode is sooo good...obviously Tom Ellis is amazing but Lauren has been right up there with him ( especially in these Netflix seasons)
Always love to hear your theories guys!!
I get the response to Rory.it’s how I felt at this point too. Also, bravo to Eric for that Sam in the Two Towers reference!
Remember that every person who holds a sword gets a desire to kill?
That Dan held it in season 2 part of him managed to resist it
And Chloe, look how strong she is, it's been with her for a long, long time, and only now has she broken down and finally managed not to let it take over.
I always love how Maze can tell she's lying because recognizes the torture method that she would have taught her.
"Spikes in a moat?"
"No alligators."
You guys aren't thinking big enough.
Spikes *ON* alligators, in a moat!
I think Dan and Chloe are an example he is a role model! How divorced couples should behave! It's just amazing that despite their divorce they managed to remain such good friends!
I wish my parents after the divorce could have stayed that way too
thats one of my favorite parts of the show, how they built their relationship to be so healthy and loving after being divorced and in love with other people
"That's worth a box a first edition Pokemon cards."
I really want to introduce Aaron to Nogla and Big Jiggly Panda.
I love the fact that Ella is piecing it together all on her own and using science to prove the divine! She is truly one of my favorites! 😊 But it’s also sad because she’s the only human that’s a believer in the group and probably would’ve taken the news as a positive from the start, unlike Chloe and Linda, didn’t have the same faith and belief as Ella and had bad first reactions. 😕
"no dont bring trixie into this i will cry" oh yes you will aaron
29:09 Lucifer's dismissive attitude goes along with the "British Class Tier Structures & The Attitudes to Match" or something like that. 🤔
Eric, you are so right, any actor compared to Tom Ellis is overshadowed. Tom is too good at what he delivers.
17:59 The praise for Tom Ellis from Eric as he says what he says about "Aurora" baffles me. I get her. Tom's just another guy using a British accent and thanks to "Doctor Who" and other British stuff, I'm used to them.
Hayley Mills, though? Now she's exceptional! ❤
22:42 Hmm. It has been my personal observational experience that those that ignored their science classes in favor of Sunday school, are the ones to most likely say, "God works in mysterious ways."
But this show seems to have taken that into account by giving it a different meaning or perspective. 🤔
This whole situation with Aurora feels alot like Nora showing up in The Flash and I wasn't that fond of her either. Randomly showing up and pretending you have rapport with established characters is difficult to pull off naturally.
I didn't like the character initially but by the end I did and I thought she did a decent job of integrating into the cast.
Semi-spoiler:
Aurora is needed to be there. Lucifer needs her at that time so he could decide the outcome of the future.
I was actually happy with the finale which is quite rare at current age of tv series.
Barry's unborn children visiting from the future is still happening on The Flash while they're also watching Lucifer. The fact that these guys haven't made that same comparison and are struggling to accept the same storyline is ridiculous.
The difference there was we still got a good final villain that season with Reverse Flash, the made it seem like Rory was the final villain, and instead we didn't have a season long villian, and we got Dan's killer as the villain for the finale.
Nora had more charisma.
I would think the reason for Dan's guilt would be quite obvious 😅 That revelation is going to hurt to watch again.
That ending still hits me. Damn.
Aaron now connects things to Pokemon cards like Eric did with Star Wars when he was constantly studying
Surprised Aaron and Eric didn't mention Nora on The Flash.
As a Brit, Rory and Amenadeal 100% have accents
Their reaction at 2:24 was great! 😆
I'll admit I didn't care for Rory to much in the first half but I appreciate the character more towards the end and like how her story wraps up.
Brianna Hildebrand was as perfectly cast in the role of Rory as Tom Ellis was for Lucifer. Thank God Netflix gave us a 6th and final season otherwise we wouldn’t have gotten one of my favorite characters of the entire show.
I especially love how she tortured Maze, Eve and Amenadiel with future knowledge anxiety. And of course she had to have learned it from Maze.🤣🤣🤣
I truly don't understand their dislike of Brianna Hildebrand as Rory. To be honest, when you compare ANY character on this show to Tom Ellis, they ALL look flat compared to his larger than life charisma. I think she's acting exactly how the character is supposed to be, angry, angsty, and uncomfortable. I never EXPECTED her to be funny or charming so maybe THAT'S why I was never was harsh on her. It just feels like they're judging the actress based on what they WANT her to be and not what she IS.
Exactly! She's felt abandoned by Lucifer her entire life and is going through something big that caused her to time travel. Rory being funny or charming wouldn't make any sense at this point. I hope they keep their dislike of Rory/Brianna to a minimum otherwise it'll get annoying.
I didn't like her at all tbh. She does just feel kinda bland and really fake. I guess it is hard since I'm comparing her to Trixie, whose actress is fucking phenomenal, but yeah, she does kinda just feel like a average actress
@@leleo2219 I guess we have polar opposite taste because I don't find Trixie's acttress to be "phenomenal". I think she's very basic too. Sure, Brianna Hildebrand's performance is nothing Emmy worthy, but I don't think she's this unlikeable, bad actress that the guys thinks she is.
They don’t like the character
@@dennis2667 hm? they say it's the actress not the character lol
Have they realized Rory is Negasonic Teenage Warhead yet?
I don’t think so
The next episode is one of the best episodes I have seen in the history of television in terms of the message of the episode
Everyone should watch this episode
The moment I realized Rory was torturing them
This is the moment I fell in love with her
2.1K Thumbs Up + Mine! 👍 You're welcome, and thanks! ☺️
I’ve been watching this alongside you guys and my thought is that trixie might be dans guilt. It could also be Ela or possibly something for Charlotte but i think trixie makes the most sense.
"Sex math" is my favorite phrase.
It’s sort of unfortunate that the final season’s emotional component relies almost solely on a new character and actress. I personally like Rory but I can understand that the season might start to fall flat due to your feelings of her portrayal.
Charlotte? She was never a "villain"! If anything she would have been the "villainess". But that's saying that her classism was villainous behavior.
Having seen "Keeping Up Appearances" and "The Beverly Hillbillies", I've learned about it from both perspectives. 😀
When they get to the scene between Dan and Trixie Aaron will be a mess
At that point of the show (and even in the next couple episodes) i still thought too that Michael was behind Rory's behavior ...
And i actually like the actress (Brianna Hildebrand) that plays Rory, but i would put the blame on the writing, the overall plot of the season, and/or the directing - she did what she could considering the major responsability to portray the daughter of the 2 mains.
Still didn't love the 6th season, but watching their reactions, and theories helps me grieve :')
For a character I didnt like the first season, I sure am crying alot because of Dan... And I rarely cry, in media its basically only been F&F (that Paul Walker scene), Avengers Endgame, Spider-Man (PS4) and Dan.
Technically Lucifer already had time-traveling it you just didn't see it as time travel simply because of the fact that it was disguised as pausing time and then doing things within the pause time that is still a method of time travel meaning you're traveling within the same moment of time which is actually probably more difficult than actually doing real time travel at least four words of time backwards and time it's the same
I like the casting for Lucifer’s daughter it fits imo
That ending song
Roughly there is an antagonist this season but not what you think but someone who deserves the penalty from the previous season
Bluetooth if you ever need to talk to a ghost just put a Bluetooth in your ear and pretend like you're on a phone call get a second phone actually put that phone on silent and call yourself so that it can appear like you're not talking to someone who's in the room with you
There is circular bump on Eric's forehead what happaned ?
I wonder if they'll be watching the second season of Bridgerton
I’m not sure you can go insane in hell. Otherwise EVERYONE in Hell goes insane, eventually. Whether it’s playing ping pong or rescuing your work over an Uber driver or trying to destroy Lucifer for sleeping with Linda, it will get to you in thousands of years.
Though it’s an issue that’s brought up in The Good Place. Even eternity in heaven could be problematic.
God said He never understood why Lucifer picked that pip pip accent.
Sad that there's no more Cobra Kai. Wednesday won't be the same once Lucifer is over.
At least we'll have community to make us laugh once a week
@@charlesgonzalez1406 I don't watch community.
@@gregwodzynski941 well that's just awkward
Rorys character is a grower not a shower
Ok I thought I liked this sixth season but I'm starting to realise that it isn't even worth my time watching the full length. I'll probably just do that for the finale.
The 6th season is alright but it's nothing special. There's a tonne wrong with it. There are some good moments for sure but overall it's an average season.
:)
