@@paperpiglet YES!! THANK YOU! I feel like maybe it bothers me more than it should, because I never hear anyone else bring it up. But it does legitimately bother me 😅 I’d SO much rather it be just a blank notes page so you could just do whatever you want with it.
@@yourplanningmentor thank you! 💖 it helps me notice patterns of when I get certain things done. It also helps me figure out when to use certain stickers for memory keeping spreads (whenever those happen 😉)
I loved how you organized your planner and made your own pages. I really liked the phone idea. Never thought about having something like that. I will now be making my own “things to put in planner”.
I’ve been journaling since I was very young and using paper planning for about 40 years. I’m so glad you popped up on YT for me. I loved this video. It was so informative. I’ve been in a Happy Planner for 4 years and love it mainly for the removable pages. Thank you so much for sharing what you do. I haven’t set up my 2025 planners yet and was already trying to brainstorm how to make it work better for me.
I love using my goodnotes based digital planner but liked seeing how you use yours. I'm going to use the tip about day of the week instead of check mark!
@@ellieplanit Yes, I have used it for years now. I didn't think I would be able to switch from paper, but I just really love how customizable it is, especially when you make your own (which was surprisingly easy to do). And it has saved me a lot of money since I used to buy so much planner stuff. lol I still enjoy watching paper planner things though for fun and to get ideas.
@ellieplanit it's very fun! Just don't let social media make you feel bad abt it not being aesthetic, just enjoy the process (easier said than done tho)
I'm a happy planner girl. I use a big planner so it's easy to print whatever I want, and put anything I want in. I actually used an old cover and small disc's just to keep my Sunday School lessons in, plus stuff for a drop in program I work with for 0-5 yr oldsxand their parent or care giver. I have a household one, with expander discs for recipes, my mom's health stuff, extra planner sheets. Then my main planner, with a vertical layout, which I don't care for. It's fun to decorate, but I need to print daily sheets off again. Ivhaveca mini in my purse, in a dashboard layout. It's too hard to find inserts for, so I may replace it. Or just use my phone on the go.
@@ellieplanitplease! I’ve tried using canva a few times and get frustrated by the preformated layouts. I must be missing something. I end up making many things in Excel.
Great video! Thank you. My brain works very similarly when planning. Do you share or offer the page with the habit tracker. I absolutely love it & would purchase it. Do you have an esty store?
That’s a great idea! I definitely stay away from sticky notes on pages I’m frequently flipping through to avoid them falling off. I haven’t dabbled much with highlighters much, but I’m seriously considering that as an option for next year’s planner!

The trial and error involved in figuring out your ideal set up takes forever! I LOVE the idea of adding to a planner with sticker pages.
@@PlanaPlanner thank you 💖 yes, this planner is definitely the result of trial and error across all the years I’ve been using planners!
I completely agree about the monthly overview page!! It hurts my brain being before the tab.

It's one reason why I switched to another brand.
LOVE your page in the back with the month view and habit tracker on the same page!

I do bullet journaling but those dashboards are giving me ideas for my own spreads

@ yeah, I’ll admit that the pressure to make some of these gorgeous layouts spending $100’s on supplies is a little intimidating/tempting 😅
@ellieplanit it really is and it's SO EASY to fall into spending so much, I have on occasion ✊️😔
You are beautiful! Love your planner set up. Thanks for sharing. God bless you ♥️

I’m so happy to hear that! I know using a paper planner can sometimes be exhausting when it’s not a good fit.

We plan very similarly. And gotta ask, "Incarceration" lol.
😆 I always forget that not everyone knows about it! Inkcarceration is a tattoo and music fest held at an old prison/reformatory every summer
