2019+ Corolla Hatchback (Non-JBL) Door Speaker Upgrades for Front/Rear. Infinity Reference

- Wasnt planning to do this video, but a fellow enthusiast on IG asked if I was doing one, then I decided to start recording when doing the rear speakers.
I cant stress enough how great Crutchield was in making sure they included everything I needed. It was literally plug and play, and the ony tools needed was a plastic trim remover tool, and a philips screw driver. Thats it

Thanks for the video brotha! I was the one that asked if you we're going to make a video on this lol
You dirty rascal 😁 sorry it wasn’t much, but this video dedicated to you 😂🤟🏼
I’m going to do the same with my hatch haha. Can’t go wrong with Infinity! Also I installed Alpine powered sub underneath passenger seat and it also made a difference. My friends are always blown away on how much bass it produces for little sub!
very nice man!!! 🤟🏼
I'm glad you mentioned that you don't have to put the volume so high to get louder music. I just picked up a 21 xse hatch and the speakers are terrible. I have to set the volume to 45 to hear anything and then the sound gets distorted and staticy. Definitely gonna have to get a speaker upgrade
How's the speaker upgrade mate? I'm thinking of getting a 20/21 XSE
@blacgaz6419 it was great! It would sound even better with amp or aftermarket headunit. But def a big difference from just replacement
@@blacgaz6419 I ordered the same speakers he did. They sound great. I still have the car and the speakers have not had a single problem.
👌👌
crumple zone am i a joke to u ?
TRUST ME do not UPGRADE if you do NOT install an amp. The factory stereo has about 5 watts of juice an amp has about 50watts huge difference.
If you added some CLD speaker kits and foam speaker rings, it would sound better.
I will have to look into that. Any specific kit you recommend?
Retrosound and NVX fring65
@@ae86fiend copy that, thank you!
All that effort to play rap junk? The background music during the install was much better.
I just did this exact upgrade with the exact speakers but I don't seem to get nearly as much bass? Any idea why
Nice! So prior to installing these door speakers, my car already had an aftermarket 10" powered sub in addition to these speaker replacements
What size will fit in the dash? I have a 2022 corolla. I would prefer not to cut anything.
im not 100%, but I would recommend contacting Crutchfield directly and they should be able to give better advice👍🏼
By chance do you know if these are louder then the JBL speakers that would come with it if not stock ?
i hope that adding new speakers can keep up with my bass.
I just bought a 2023 Corolla with the premium JBL stereo. It is ok, but not that impressive. So I am looking at upgrading some of the speakers.
Congrats! Sucks to hear the JBL's are underperforming. They Infinity's were much better than the base oem speakers, but not sure how they compare to JBL
@@FujiboHeavy Part of the problem is the lack of sound adjustment. The system only has bass, mid, and treble control.
will be doing this to my se when it gets here since its so easy and effective thanks for taking the time to make video
How long did you take to do the whole job? I mean, remove the old speaker and install the new one?
Couple hours I think. I was taking my time and filming. Once you do one side, the other side moves alot quicker
Is this the only audio upgrade you did at this point? Or had you previously replaced other elements of the audio system?
I also had a 10" powered subwoofer prior to replacing these door speakers
Did you order the exact same speakers for the front and back? Also do you know if the hatch has the same doors as non hatch. Want to upgrade my speakers and want the same setup as you. Thank you
yup. Front and Rear exactly the same :) That im not 100% sure! But honestly I feel they should come off the same way
Nice video! Where did you put the sub?
Thank you! Subwoofer was in the trunk 😎
what's the sizes of original speakers?
Can you link the speakers you used?
Yup, these here: www.crutchfield.com/p_108R6532EM/Infinity-Reference-REF-6532ex.html
I looked at these speakers on Crutchfield, and it told me they wouldn't fit in my corolla, or would only fit the front door. It actually said none of the Infiniti ones would fit and recommended the Hertz of the same size. Any idea?
Interesting. What year and model is your Corolla? Does it have the oem JBL system?
@@FujiboHeavy the 2023 hybrid, yup.
@@talperetz687 ahhh gotcha. So my model in this video was a 2020 SE with Non-JBL system. So I cant 100% confirm what type of speakers the 2023 Hybrid sound system has. Alot can change in 3 years 😅. Also since the car is so new Crutchfield may not have the database updated for your specific model. I would call them directly and see what they advise
@@FujiboHeavy awesome - I wouldn't have thought of that. Thanks so much!
@@talperetz687 No problem! What are your thoughts on the JBL system?
good video
Just ordered a set thank you, how are they holding up?
great! Actually traded car in, but they have been bumpin nicely!
Hey those are nice speakers! Do you have a link for it?
thanks man! i gor them from here! www.crutchfield.com/p_108R6532EM/Infinity-Reference-REF-6532ex.html make sure to enter your car so they can confirm fitment :)
What size speakers are they?
6.5"?
yup. 6.5"
Thankyou.
Did you replace the tweeters too?
I did not. Only the Front and Rear door speakers. I was planning to get the tweeters until I traded the car in
@@FujiboHeavy I bought a 23 corolla hatchback and I want to upgrade the speaker, just like I did with my Tacoma. Good video man
@@gabet3754 Congrats!! Thank you 🙌🏼
It is impossible to look kool in a 4 door Corolla!
Loser
@darkrulier
I’m guessing you since you replied on a year old comment.🙄
