This was the first time I’ve seen Ebro explain why he doesn’t argue and yell. I’ve been listening for a long time and I’ve heard his interview on Juan Ep. He’s dropped little hints of his past and how it’s shaped him but this hit home for me. I’ve been able to relate to him because I have similar issues, but I think I understand now. This conversation has given me a new outlook on what I can do better in my own life. Thanks Ebro.
Growing up in a house with and/or around violence it is traumatic. Relationship issues are based on the fact that you think you can control or own someone. The harsh reality and truth is that YOU CAN'T. People will unconsciously rebel when the idea control is unbalanced. The quote says "in all the years of education, no one ever taught me how to love myself." We are taught how to be intelligent in everything but our emotions.
In the voice of Reakwon, Ayo that's a dart right there, that's a five piece. If you don't know what I'm talking about > ua-cam.com/video/azw6GXQETn0/v-deo.html :)
stephan gillis nah let her hit you and then call the police, these bitches need to learn to keep there hands to themselves. They won’t pop like that in jail smh
I thank god I'm 27 with no kids and a toxic relationship. I know I'm not ready for kids still and I one who doesn't care for relationships. My alone time and my mental health has always been the most important to me..so I don't deal with people. Especially nowadays! Right on Ebro 👌🏾
Here is the thing about Domestic Violence, we need to stop with the double standards. No one (man or woman) has the right to put your hands, feet, head or any other body parts on anyone unless your are defending yourself from harm. You can’t just hit someone because you can’t hold your anger, or because it is Tuesday. Ladies, please stop thinking it is ok to fight a man. You don’t have the same strength as a Man, and not every man is just going to walk away when you keep putting your hands on him, especially after he isn’t even trying to defend or protect himself after the first 7 hits. The Domestic violence double standards has to stop like now!
God's Child My statement is about Domestic Violence as a whole. Personally I don’t have anything to say about Fab and Emily B situation because it is the same statement that I’ve said about DV as a whole. I’m not condoning anything that he has done, and I’m not going to call him out his name for his actions. However, what I’m saying that the double standards in DV cases needs to stop. It isn’t acceptable for men to put their hands on women and vice versa. We need to stop letting females think it is okay for them to put their hands on Men also. I have seen many reaction videos where females will play the victim in some stance but in the same breathe make it okay for them to hit men. It isn’t okay because every man isn’t raise the same, and every man isn’t going to just walk away. DV isn’t acceptable at all!
Travis Powell 👏🏿👏🏿i am trying to let these females know that not every men is going to walk away gracefully. Some will knock you out real quick and then you will act all shooked. People should just respect each other and walk away.
I'm a female and I've said several times to other females that its not okay to put our hands on males neither... I have a son, three brothers and I don't want a female thinking they can handle them like a piece of crap, all because they are a woman and SOCIETY says men shouldn't hit women... EVERYONE has a breaking point, or at least they should.....
Pay attention! Every time Chris Brown have anything good going on they bring up his past abusive situation! The video with Lil Dicky comes out and everybody love Chris and the devil can’t have that, smh! We love and support you Chris!!!
The devil? Even if they're playing that dude should know better. He's a grown ass man who's been through the ringer. Separate yourself from situations that even have the potential of getting twisted. He needs to learn how to move
@Leafy, and the icing on the cake. It's a world that majority agrees with the original comment instead of accepting responsibility for their actions. Everybody wants to play victim.
Galva Tron she probably took him there...and when he responded she did what she was trained to do.... cant be a man in your own house...they'll call the race soilders on you....black women are aligned with the system.. they know the system will keep you in check and give her a check.
I disagree completely with Ebro. This is a social issues. People act as if domestic violence is only perpetrated by people from low income families or communities. Domestic violence against women occurs at all levels of education, financial situation, community, race, ethnicity, or job title. Go volunteer at a battered women shelter and you will see the spectrum.
evette cruise That is still an incorrect statement. Let's be honest, he is referring to low income and black communities. We know that violence against women exceed far beyond those boarders.
I agree and disagree. He is 100% right about the lack of leadership in communities but the whole country lacks leadership currently. Domestic violence is something that has happened in this world for way too long and in some ways it's indoctrinated and many people whether it be culturally or religiously. If you look at the time span of women's rights compared to the suppression of women's rights the latter far exceeds. Just like civil rights women's rights is relatively new even in the western. It's only been about a hundred years since women actually had the right to vote 50 for color people. Now I say all that to say , because these things are newer to our society we have to educate people about the history of this world so they can understand that this is something that is precious to us and because we have made advancements when it's come to people in their rights we've been able to reap the benefits. But we have to be mindful that it's easy to fall back into previous mine sets. We also need to teach each other women included how to talk to each other. Even though you shouldn't hit anyone because your provoked you shouldn't be provoking anyone. We can't say we are highly intelligent beings but we fight over cell phones. We also need to make sure that empathy is understood and is felt. We're living in a time or it seems that apathy is reigning Supreme and if you don't have leadership whether it's in the hall or in the White House we're all doomed to regress
This was heavy but necessary to discuss. I grew up with parents that had rage when they argued. I vowed that I would and could never raise my children in that environment. If me and my husband get close to that point we shut it down and revisit it later.
Ashley Johnson yes me to an I be damn if I allow my child to see an go through hat I been through. yup me an her dad would say let's talk later an listen to each other views an one thing I don't do is argue Infront of my child
10:13 I'm like Laura. I can't be a part of that kind of argument. I can't argue with someone who doesn't know how to do it like a grown up. If you get physical in any way, if you try to get in my face or make threats, or if you don't know how to stop when I say PAUSE.... Guys, you know what I'm talkin about. When you hit that point and it's like, "Alright, pause, I'm gonna walk away from the fight now for a minute..." and the girl won't let you take a break... she stays in your face or follows you to the next room. OMG
detubeme yup they get beat my brother ex would not let him walk out she bit him hit him an when he turnt around an slapped her she cries abuse I'm a female an don't condone it but she ain't allow the man to cool off
I live in the South and my mom and her friends 'n fam alway always always talking about "a man should never hit a woman ever." But my mom, she gets in dudes faces, she hits them, she curses them out, she follows them around, she dares them to put their hands on her, she pushes them. I've seen her do this to my stepdad. I think she did it to my dad before, but he might've actually slapped her so she learned the lesson. But my stepdad, just took it constantly. I think he thought I would jump on him if he hit my mom. Actually, I didn't respect him at all and wished he would stand up for himself. I would've allowed him one hit, then I'd be like "hey... that's enough." LOL I know that's not funny but... it's funny. I've never hit a girl, but I'd defend myself like most men. I had to tell my own mom I'd slap the crazy out of her if she didn't get out my face and she never does that crap with me anymore. Point is... some chicks are crazy.
My mom used to do that to me when I was a teen/early 20s and im a female. Then when i would push her away from me she would claim i was being disrespectful. But when i was growing up she was in a very violent relationship.
ah sorry about your mom doing that to you. It can be hard when someone who is supposed to love and respect you will act like that. I ended up distancing myself from my mom and now whenever we start to argue i just walk away because i'm afraid of how it will go.
Ebro really speaking that real about being in a relationship that or someone that pushes you to the edge after you informed them on how you was raised and how things they might be use to can affect the current relationship.
I agree with Ebro and female host (sorry, don't know her name)....I like to deal more in logic and I don't like drama, arguing or mess in my personal life. When in a conversation where I need to address something, I tend to choose my words carefully and ensure that my volume isn't elevated. The more upset I get, I slow down the pace of the conversation and stick to the logic. So, when I'm controlling myself in this manner, I can't take anyone else being out of control and reckless...nope, I'm out!
The drop @ 3:00 mark: Fabolous arrested for domestic violence. Assaulted mother of children, Emily B... Fab turned himself in with attorney, they have 2 children together, age 2 & 10... Fab got a citation, received a ticket for court appearance.
Gentlemen, we are always going to be held more liable in the situation. Unfortunately, that's just our reality. It's better to have your own space, than to deal with some of this BS that can happen in a matter of miss communication, and poor conflict management.
Welcome To The Madness this is a fact bro it needs to be brought up more like we men have to be aware that mistakes are pivotal in today's world especially mental mistakes. You let some reason drive you into a different mindset and you do something violent to a girl then they make you pay hard with your freedom and money. Very costly
Tax evasion is like smoking a joint to rich white men including y'all president.. dmx .. lauryn hill.. Wesley snipes.. are guilty of being black playing a white mans game
Why do we question was it a pushing or a shove match so quick to minimize what Fab may or may not have done just stick to the facts which we don't have
Thank you Ebro!!! We gotta hold men and women accountable. Young emotions are hard to control and raising up at someone bigger than you trying to provoke them can be dangerous. It was beautiful how he explained it.... I'm not tryna argue cuz I'm bigger than you.....let's avoid this until you cool.
Fab, leave Em's ass alone. Ebro has the most valid point regarding men checking your behavior and knowing your limits. Women need to have their feelings validated, but there are some females who take it too far.
true two of my brother's deal with the females that takes things far. However some stay with a loser an when they beat or continue to cheat they can't handle it. I feel Emily should of been left him he was cheating on her forever an she stayed so to get mad or argue is dumb but that alot of woman.
TIGHT'A DEN A DECIMAL , exactly. When someone makes the choice to disrespect you, you are only disrespecting yourself if you allow it to continue. You and that person become toxic to your spirit. And I am a form believer in leaving ANYONE who gets the police involved. There is no coming back from that. If someone can't handle you and feels the need to get the law involved, you don't need to be with that person. And vice versa, if you can't get your point across without instilling that level of fear or physically harming your significant other, you need to be alone.
I do not argue with anyone. Married 26 years and never argued. If the conversation gets heated it's time to be quiet and find your space until you can come back and a half an intelligent peaceful resolution or compromise
This was actually a much needed to be talked about topic (regardless of the celebrities). They made very good and valid points! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 #knowyourtriggers #knowwhatyouarewillingtoaccept #knowwhatyouarenotwillingtoaccept
when They help him instead of putting him in jail always as if he don't have access to drugs in there I miss his art he can rap an he is very knowledgeable but he has to get better
Jail might be on that right path for him now. Get his mind some time away from vices and secular options to reflect on where he went wrong. I do feel like he is suffering from a split personality disorder. Like he couldnt separate the rap persona from Earl the person. DMX keep your head up.
Scorpio can go there when it comes to their jealousy.. They are in opposition of Taurus and share similar traits and they can be abusive too if they don't have crontol over their emotions and feel some kind of betrayal in Love. It take a lot to get them there but once the bull see red, its pretty much a wrap.. i e chris brown.. In Fab case it was probably over a dude. Don't condone it but as a astrologist/numerologist i can see where the problem lies.
😒 Excuses Excuses Excuses. Can't wait to see what excuses y'all use for Fabolous on Monday after reading the police report and seeing the video of him running up on Emily twice and threatening to kill her father & brother.
Daria Nosdrahcir thank you. Why Did he spend at least a night in jail, appear in front of Judge, hear bail hearing?. I saw the VEDIO the asshole is women beater. I bet this is not first time he terrorised her and the kids. No excuse.
Agree w/ Ebro 100%. I'm not arguing, like EVER. That never leads to any good in a situation. As a male, you will ALWAYS look bad being aggressive towards women.
I was walking down the block yesterday and a young couple was rough housing pushing each other into cars, trees, ... into the street and both were laughing. Behaviors like this create too much of a comfort in the realm of domestic violence.
#ExcellentOverview on the 'insane relationship styles' that alot of us have, grown up in, are currently in, or have gotten away from. My view/take is to be more aware of the facts (as stated) before opinion along with instituting maturity choices and individual cognition involving relationship interactions. Appreciate the opening up on this issue. #TrickyConversationTopic
word on that staying single for the right reasons, protect your peace even if it means you have to be alone...no one [woman or man] should ever get in your face like that ever. at a certain point in your life its not the drama or the lawyer fees
Honestly this makes me concerned for black people as a whole, specifically Black Men. We have come so far and yet have so much more to do. When it comes to anger, self-control and masculinity, we as black men feel the need jump to level 100 when we are fighting with the ones we love. How can you just snap and act like your fighting a stranger on the street when you are fighting your spouse or anybody close to you in your home? It's a tough concept for me to wrap my head around, but I don't come from a family like that so I understand how it's beyond my grasp. When you're a grown adult it's unexceptable TO ME to blame your problems on your upbringing and say "that's just how it was growing up". Thats not an excuse to involve a full grown adult with your past problems. We got to do better.
You are perpetuating the sociological issue by adding to the continued generalization of black men though. I think everyone should start supporting us rather than victim blame us, knowing that black doods have proverbial rocks thrown at us where ever we go. Its definitely more than a "we gotta do better" type of situation since the family dynamic plays a huge part in how we black men navigate the terrain and systematic racism makes sure that the black community and family stays fractured by making it hard for black men to always stay calm.
K. Alexander Stephens Maybe I did generalize, but the point I was trying to make was that, Yes us as black men, or black people for that matter have been put through the ringer, but at what point can we take it upon ourselves, to want more for each other and change. We are more than what happened to us. I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the concept of Black men being "victim blamed". That would have to make us victims in the first place. Which we are not in the instance of us harming our black women. I'm sorry brother, but we are not victims in this specific circumstance. Hurt people hurt people. If anything we should make should even more bad about putting women, especially black women, through the same fate we have. It makes us look hypocritical. I think black men are in a very unique place because we are simultaneously oppressed and oppressors. We should use our experience to better empathize with black women.
You talk about us harming black women, but verbal abuse is just as bad as physical abuse. We as a culture never talk about verbal or emotional abuse that a lot of black doods receive from women just about all their lives, we just count it as our women being strong or mouthy and we never see it as abuse. The video even starts with them talking about how people think Chris Brown is choking someone when they are clearly playing..that alone shows how Black men are always perceived. I mention victim blaming because you were blaming the black male gender/race for the majority of the problems of the black community ignoring that the problem is much bigger and that these anger/self-control issues are effects of a cause and that cause being the everyday mistreatment and generalization of black men by everyone including other black men. Support is the only way to beat this, not telling black men that they need to just get over it and stop making excuses.
So I guess abuse doesn't happen within all races & cultures huh? 😒😒 I understand what you're saying I just hate when issues like this get generalized to a "Black men or black women issue" when literally every race has these kind of issues.Difference is, black males' domestic issues tend to get publicized more often than any other race & I don't think it's by coincidence either.
Thanks for bringing awareness on the subject, especially what Ebro has to say about putting us men in danger when we aren't the ones raising our voices more than half the time in an argument, a lot of women know damn well they need to use inside voices when speaking indoors God dammit
The point they making is don't even be with someone who takes u there..... Like why be with a person that wants to be in your face yelling and disrespecting you?
I totally understand Ebro, some ppl feed of that hectic relationship so much so I look at myself like is there something wrong with me? Some ppl treat it like its a aphrodisiac. It stresses me out so much! I HATE fighting!

You let some reason drive you into a different mindset and you do something violent to a girl then they make you pay hard with your freedom and money. Very costly
Deadass b it's better to not live together
...or just don't beatup girls. It's not always that complicated.
Jim Richalds yea nobody wakes up one day and decides to just beats up girls...it’s that simple
Tax evasion is like smoking a joint to rich white men including y'all president.. dmx .. lauryn hill.. Wesley snipes.. are guilty of being black playing a white mans game
Upstate Izzy Preach

Ezequiel Reyes right tired of them doing this bs to him
Yes he does
bet fabolous had his freddy kruger gloves on when he hit her
zero 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 yo your a fool bro
Why do we question was it a pushing or a shove match so quick to minimize what Fab may or may not have done just stick to the facts which we don't have
I dont argue i leave and disappear and come back
Dwight Jay You do the right thing 👏👏👏
HOT 97 IS FALLING WAYY TF OFF.. THIS IS A #FACT... THERE'S NO ENERGY IN THE ROOM OR AIR AT ALL.😴😴
POPLARGROVE BERNZ negative
POPLARGROVE BERNZ comment to bring sack or box! Laura be talking like a phone sex operator
Jaay Keys 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Then y are u here 👎
It’s Rosenbergs dumb ass making stupid comments 24/7.
Words of wisdom from HOT 97
I loved that discussion very insightful
fab did not push her he punched tf out of Emily there a differenceeeeee
Ebro, salute to you my brotha! You droppin pearls of wisdom...True OG facts
This convo real as hell how can i share on fb salute y'all for this!!!
I learned a lot from this.... Thank you Hot 97
The fact that yall said what at the same time was great
Fab, leave Em's ass alone. Ebro has the most valid point regarding men checking your behavior and knowing your limits. Women need to have their feelings validated, but there are some females who take it too far.
Cooper Shell ua-cam.com/video/WpLB6bHHo90/v-deo.html
Cooper Shell I hear the stampede of females coming for your head for that comment. Lol
true two of my brother's deal with the females that takes things far. However some stay with a loser an when they beat or continue to cheat they can't handle it. I feel Emily should of been left him he was cheating on her forever an she stayed so to get mad or argue is dumb but that alot of woman.
Black Mason , I'm ready, lmbo.
Fabulous knocked her teeth out
leave chris alone
Yellow Synth
But that's what he wanted, he knew this would happen, which is why he did it. Bad judgement.
Tell Chris to leave bitches alone
Yellow Synth yes leave Chris alone he young dam ppl need to stop putting Chris or Fab down hay ppl can't believe everything you hear !!!!!
Denise Dobson The nigga is almost 30 and is a whole ass father? What?
When is DMX ever going to be on the right path tho?
Chris Ventura when he is ready like others folks in life don’t judge him pray for him we all deal with demons he is just real about his
when They help him instead of putting him in jail always as if he don't have access to drugs in there I miss his art he can rap an he is very knowledgeable but he has to get better
Jail might be on that right path for him now. Get his mind some time away from vices and secular options to reflect on where he went wrong. I do feel like he is suffering from a split personality disorder. Like he couldnt separate the rap persona from Earl the person. DMX keep your head up.
i liked the convo at the end about relationships
Scorpio can go there when it comes to their jealousy.. They are in opposition of Taurus and share similar traits and they can be abusive too if they don't have crontol over their emotions and feel some kind of betrayal in Love. It take a lot to get them there but once the bull see red, its pretty much a wrap.. i e chris brown.. In Fab case it was probably over a dude. Don't condone it but as a astrologist/numerologist i can see where the problem lies.
Leave Chris alone. He is an amazing person and very humble.
Aw man, they started playing “You Be Killin ‘Em” after hearing the Fabolous news.
Lmfao they got the you be killin em instrumental in the background.
Let's all join together and sing along ...
"whoop dat trick!"
"whoop dat trick!"
"whoop dat trick!"
Candor - Court ma
😒 Excuses Excuses Excuses.
Can't wait to see what excuses y'all use for Fabolous on Monday after reading the police report and seeing the video of him running up on Emily twice and threatening to kill her father & brother.
Daria Nosdrahcir thank you. Why Did he spend at least a night in jail, appear in front of Judge, hear bail hearing?. I saw the VEDIO the asshole is women beater. I bet this is not first time he terrorised her and the kids. No excuse.
Facts. This is why I love Ebro in the morning
Funny how a Fab beat playing while they discussin him
How come you don’t keep that same energy for Fab that you just had for Kodak yesterday?
all three of them said what at the same time lool
I'm still listening to Young OG projects 1 and 2
Very real advice, Ebro.
Agree w/ Ebro 100%. I'm not arguing, like EVER. That never leads to any good in a situation. As a male, you will ALWAYS look bad being aggressive towards women.
Fab comes from the same culture.
This is a very important issue. Glad the conversation is being had.
Ebro on a rant today lmao I love it
I love being single
I was walking down the block yesterday and a young couple was rough housing pushing each other into cars, trees, ... into the street and both were laughing. Behaviors like this create too much of a comfort in the realm of domestic violence.
Damn, Ebro dropping gems
It takes so much self-control to just walk out on an argument or discussion you're not comfortable with, but sometimes that's the best choice.
That's a legend Breezy
Kodak keep that same energy
The conjoined “WHAT!?” is unappreciated but I’m here to say, it did not go overlooked on this end
Very informative discussion.
DMX, we rooting for you
"The whole world's looking at me, watching and waiting to see.." Busta Rhymes
Very well said ebro!
I Feel Bad for DMX Man..Dude used to be a Legend
I agree with Ebro 100% you are speaking the truth
@3:07 my reaction when the media refuse to leave Chris Brown Alone! DAMN....
Yo that 3 way “What?” Amazing!!! 1:35
word on that staying single for the right reasons, protect your peace even if it means you have to be alone...no one [woman or man] should ever get in your face like that ever. at a certain point in your life its not the drama or the lawyer fees
Great Message!!!
Ebro just kept it too real for Hot 97. Damn...
i feel ebro
some situations , you just like "ayt i'm going to jail"
Damn Rosenberg and Laura at the same time 😂😂😂
Its the 1rst time I have 100% agreed'd with Ebro. He's kicking it.
6ix9ine, Kodak, Xxx, Chris, Fab anyone else ?
Joshua Heckstall trey songz
Joshua Heckstall right !!
nba young boy
R.kelly
Joshua Heckstall what 69 do that he was charged for??
Ebro was on point about the lack of leadership. And the lady host as well.
Thanks for bringing awareness on the subject, especially what Ebro has to say about putting us men in danger when we aren't the ones raising our voices more than half the time in an argument, a lot of women know damn well they need to use inside voices when speaking indoors God dammit
the guy next to ebro was vex i can tell by his facial expression
Fab must've listened to Set Trippin before the fight
Ebro telling facts. As soon as you get angry the man gets in trouble.
Chris was playing around Fabolous wanted to kill Emily and her father and brother.
Phyllis Glowing O.J
The point they making is don't even be with someone who takes u there.....
Like why be with a person that wants to be in your face yelling and disrespecting you?
I'm with Ebro on this one. The moment someone raise there voice & start taking it to another level. Getting in your face. I shut down. I can't do it.
U absolutely right brother people need to keep their hands to their God damn selves men and women
I totally understand Ebro, some ppl feed of that hectic relationship so much so I look at myself like is there something wrong with me? Some ppl treat it like its a aphrodisiac. It stresses me out so much! I HATE fighting!
turn yall volume up!
"got me locked in the cell where the killas & the thugs at... Wasn't tryna hurt her, it was really just a love tap”-Fab
