Wish I could share. I’m at home sick with pneumonia, not you know what! Anyway I sent my daughter (17) to the store for me yesterday and she came back with a flyswater that you put 2 AA batteries in and it zaps any flys of bugs when push the button. So much easier than a swatting kind. We seem to get at least one random fly everyday just letting our dogs in and out to do their thing so I’m excited I can be done with them quickly!
Love your tiny little clusters. Reminds me of Baby’s Breath. Glass beads are always nice. Gives that little bit of texture and shine. Again you have created a beautiful tag.
Your tags are stunning, and your artistic talent really shines with these tags. You are not afraid to change up your colours, style of stitching or kinds of thread. This all adds to the beauty of your tags. Happy that your buttons finally arrived.
I like your technique for the leaf stitch - great results and much easier than what I've done in the past. This tag challenge has been fun but they really are more labor intensive than I imagined. Beautiful tags, Rachel. Thank you for sharing your process!
I was watching Anne and u had a laugh when she said she wishes that she wasn't in charge because after seeing others projects she wants a do over.... lol. But look what she is inspiring! Oh and I noticed... for the language police, Anne also says perle as per-lay. I always give the benefit if the doubt to local pronunciation. But just thought you might like to know she said it too. This came out fantastic Rachel. Next time you get the fray started put a line of liquid glue on the edge and rub it in and let it dry a little. They make one called fray check buts it's basically clear glue. I love the tag, it's gorgeous 😍
This one is definitely in my top ten favorites!! It is beautiful. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I could sit and watch someone embroider for a full hour and totally enjoy it. I was wondering how you determine which type of thread to use in each part of the piece, I do appreciate how you take the time to explain the stitches you are using, I find that very helpful. I do like that Anne keeps it on the simpler side and then I watch you to see what it could look like if you know more stitches You are a very inspiring teacher and so lucky to have a mom that took the time to teach you some of these skills. TFS Hugs and Smiles
makes me want to pull out my cross stitch while I am still contemplating how I am going to make my generational family tree album . I still have no clue on how to construct it . I have made photo albums before , but I dont just need a photo album I have to document info and stories as well as all the photos into it .
Gorgeous tag! Love the colors and how you embroidered over the printed fabric! You’re expanding my creativity! I even have bought some threads to try myself! 🌸💞
No matter what i decide to do, it always takes me a lot longer than anyone else i watch on YT. I do enjoy your longer videos as i usually watch with headphones on and stitch away! Very calming until i have to decide on another color, or stitch, or needle size. I’m discovering that i may need many, many more colors of threads, different needles. I will never have the selection of you or Ariane but it’s fun to look at everything available! I chose red for my color, too. It’s too sharp for my tastes. Yours is beautiful!
You inspire me to learn to sew....! Maybe one day, for now I will enjoy your videos and the chat... Thank you for sharing the knowledge and talent with us.
@@roxycreations679 Primary school was a looooong time ago ... so that was a distant memory you woke up. The fabric was sage green with a flower or paisley design in cream and terracotta. Music and scent evokes memory ... but for some of us it's fabric!
I will say she has many many types of threads. She has embroidery and hand made and hand dyed. Her mother and Aunt gave her a lot. Some are very old some are newer. I can’t imagine how they must feel but her Mom has been doing needle work and embroidery sine Rachel and Sarah were young girls. So silks and woolen and on and on.
Really love this Rachel love the burgundy red you’re so great it is love and hugs from Australia. I live in Victoria in a skips land and at the moment we are getting flooded and I really mean flooded if it’s not far is flat or that other thing that’s been hanging around the last 18 months take care🦋💕🌈💜🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Another Beauty joins the stash of Incredible Tags! Rachel, when the challenge is done are you going to make a Tag Journal like you did with your birthday wishes? They encompass hundreds of hours of labor....so wonderful. ❤️
beautiful work....I think this video can help me learn some of those stitches more than any of them...I have such a hard time with visual instructions...but repetition is helpful...I will be watching again. I sure wish the mail that I sent would have arrived, it's been 3 months yesterday since I mailed your letter, I guess with covid and all that it may be lost forever. Those buttons will be fun to play with...what a lovely thing to send. thanks again for a great video.
I wait to see yours in case I can try something I haven’t tried before. This might be one of those times. Beautiful . And a great stash of threads! I keep willing you to pull your sewing book on screen. I’ve done your needle book course and love the result but I need something bigger to put some trinkets in. I think I can get the drift, though. Our little grandson was born yesterday (8th June) Daniel Attilio Liberatore. Perfect, of course.😀
just love your ideas,i have been stitching and embroidering since a little girl and i am 71 now. love how we can mix all the mediums now. I was an art teacher at junior school level as well as doing my own art. Now i am combining all to make art and really enjoying it. The grey surface you are working on, is it a special mat? Looks interesting. Keep creating everyone, it is so good for the soul
Just love it...I am way behind in my tags now but plan to catch up...so glad your videos are available to watch anytime and Anne’s are too, you both are an inspiration to us all🌼hugs from Minnesota 💕
After I heard you are having a cafe, I had to grab a London Fog tea before I finish watching! I've been meaning to ask you if you made your needle book? If so, do you have a video showing how to make one? I have a pin cushion but my needles tend to fall in too deep and if I don't keep pulling them out they will go inside! :( Your wools are so pretty! Gorgeous tag! I've been wanting to see how to do those leaves! Thanks for sharing! Now to get on with my tag!
Hi Just to let you know there is a lovely Needlecase tutorial to buy from Rachel in her etsy shop. It is from a couple of years ago I think. I only bought it and downloaded it 2 weeks ago. Ive made one now, so lovely to do. I highly recommend the tutorials, they are sooo good, as always with Rachel x
Such beautiful work. (I love your "giggle" laugh. ) Was that the Italian Air Force plane that I heard in the background. They used to do flying maneuvers when I lived in Maniago. :)
Hello Rachel! I enjoyed your video it was very relaxing and the tag is beautiful, never thought of adding thread to printed fabric. Hope you have a good day, take care!
hi it is me again, just seeing how your fabric is fraying at the edges, i use a thin iron on vilene to back all my fabric that i stitch on,makes it firmer to hold the stitches and helps prevent the fraying. Enquire about it at the fabric shop, use a thin vilene, it has a heat dissolving 'glue' on the back which will stick onto the back when the iron heat is applied. Hope this helps .I do fray out the edges of some of me work, it looks good on some work and I then iron on the vilene to prevent it going any further.
Another tag showing your exemplary needlework…this one is so diverse! And pretty with colour variations. What is the actual difference with french knows and colonial stitch…other than the technique…do they look the same once completed? Looking forward to week 24! X
I do ship to the US. For shipping contact me on Etsy and i will tell you what you can fit in the parcel for the price. Etsy does not calculate shipping correctly for multiple items so it's better if you let me know so I can tell you the correct price. Thank you so much!
