Good morning Al and Gina. Have a nice day. I am looking forward to watching this all come together. Al I have never disagreed with you before cars that are stored in garages last longer. The freeze and intense heat on a car is not good for it.
It will be interesting to see how many comments you will get on leaving the equipment out side. For sure its you investment and you do what works for you. Love you guys take care and stay safe.
On your tool crib, I would do 2 custom swing doors. Boarded on the outside only and inbuilt shelfs in it to store nails and bolts saving space. Al you would have to put a wheel under the doors to help support the weight of the bolts and nails. Also another idea is to put your shipping container on the back side of the work shop and cutting a door way in the side of the container and the tool crib for extra storage or making that your tool crib. Yes it would mean extending your pad so you can still drive around the work shop. Been watching from afar the awesome progress you and Gina are making to the property.

More wall space for the tool crib? Good ideas. I think getting the door open in the tool crib might be hard to do since there might be lots of tools in there! We'll have to watch and see.

Don't cover the area where u planned the hydraulic lift where u have the thicker concrete for lift stands...also I hope u use or build a place to store all your tracker, backhoe, equipment
Speaking of planning for the future, hopefully, you are planning to have a staircase up to the area above your rooms. That will make a great storage space up there, if you put a floor on top of the ceiling joists you are going to be putting in, but it will be very awkward unless you put in some stairs leading up to it. Now is the time to plan that, so you don't have to jury-rig it later. The more you plan ahead, the less you have to fix later.
Looks so great and you guys are always so fun to watch. Can't wait to see all the exciting projects you guys have. Totally wish I could buy some land but it would definitely be a long game.
Build two 2x6 swinging doors 24in wide that allow you to use the wall space on both sides for storage and allows you to open the entire opening up for light or ventilation.

A little feedback on space planning:
You might want to consider entry to freezer room to be from shop, not thru tool room.
Entry should be 36” clear, minimum.
You’ll be in and out of the room more frequently, why take space from tool storage (3’ linear wall) and avoid right angle turn into room.
May also consider leaving 30” clear inside tool room on either side of opening to shop.
This will allow depth for cabinets, workbench or equipment storage and leaves opening clear.

You both are really doing great hello Gina and AL I just love watching your video
Don't cover the area where u planned the hydraulic lift where u have the thicker concrete for lift stands...also I hope u use or build a place to store all your tracker, backhoe, equipment
imho You are constantly growing. Bigger toys carrying bigger loads and soon you will really appreciate the bigger door / opening for the center room.
He already mentioned having a mezzanine
@@colstace2560 Yeah, but I remember the spring-loaded ladder from the old homestead too.
@@billmandaue2168 Ya! And it would hang up with the use of a drill!
Looks so great and you guys are always so fun to watch. Can't wait to see all the exciting projects you guys have.
Totally wish I could buy some land but it would definitely be a long game.
looking great, may i ask ,do you have a restroom planned to add in the future it may be trivial but to walk or travel to the house maybe inconvenient,
Why would you need a restroom ?
A toilet would be a better idea
@@colstace2560 unless you dont wash your hands after #2 a restroom would be handy
@@earnierosenow9834 why do you need to rest ?
@@colstace2560 unless your inept you dont know what a restroom is im sorry for you,
Build two 2x6 swinging doors 24in wide that allow you to use the wall space on both sides for storage and allows you to open the entire opening up for light or ventilation.
It is a great idea to have a root cellar in the future. I am curious, have you sold your old property yet?
They still have it, that's where they were packing their coffee in a recent video.
Al wieder super Arbeit von dir einfach Spitze Danke Gruss aus Germany und bleibt gesund 👏🏻🙋♂️🇩🇪🤗😁😊👍
G’day 😊 You gotta admit that Autumn is usually quite pretty with those orange yellow colours. Soon we will be enjoying watching the white winter wonderland at your homestead 👍
Gooooood Morning Agnes. It’s crazy to think that winter will be here soon
G'day Agnes! Shhh... maybe if we pretend, the time will go by slower and we can enjoy summer for a bit longer! I was looking at the calendar and thinking September already? Years ago it meant the beginning of the school year in the US. Then one starts working full time and the academic calendar becomes a fond memory of the past. Sigh... the good old days, eh? Have a good one, Agnes!
I rather watch the snow than be living in it 🙂👍🇦🇺🇦🇺
@@samvalentine3206 G’day Sam 😊 good to feel nostalgic sometimes!
@@colstace2560 G’day Col 😊 I’ll second that!
Moving along. Equipment will last way longer stored under something, maybe not "indoors". Put an overhang on the side of the shop, it all fits easy.
