sure hope so...in the last year we've shipped Rizzo/Bryant/Javy/Kimbrel/Tepera/Chafin and now Willie/Happ/Robertson/Givins will be added to the total. Helluva lot of talent for another rebuild. Just concerned how many more years we have to go through this. Guessing at least 2 with a possbility of 3-4 sadly.
It SHOULD be but we all know he's as good as gone, just a matter of where and for whom at this point. Sure hope shipping every good player we have the last two seasons is worth it in the long run. Minors are very good now and should improve after shipping Contreras, Happ, Robertson and Givins.
On the eve of some impending departures of our guys to other teams, it's refreshing to look back on Morel's and Hughes' first game. I think back about Willson's and others' first game as a rookies. Before we know it we'll be saying farewell to them, hopefully with one or two additional WS titles. Absolutely love our club. Go Cubs Go!
