I like the way you chuckle & call 47 below a little chilly. My brother n law grew up in Minnesota, he also loved camping & he was good @ woodworking too. You remind me of him & talk like him. Love your videos Joe & your Dad amazes me on how he gets around for his age. Loving what you do bound to make a big difference health wise. Keep em coming Joe lets see that big table saw in action.
Lived in Minnesota for 43 years don't miss any of the winter now live in Florida. The saw looks real good so can't wait until you have your shop set up and start using all the tools you brought up. Thanks for sharing.
Anyone who would walk out in a wind chill of -47 Fahrenheit to show us his new saw is pretty durn proud of that saw. Which is nice, by the way. Happy New Year!
She's a true Southern cook - cornbread in the black iron skillet with black eyed peas is the perfect New Year's meal. Between the two of you, you guys eat well. Oh, sorry Melissa - y'all eat well!
Really enjoyed the ride, seeing the snowy winter wonderland, memories of Michigan, been in South FL for 17 yrs now, don't miss driving, moving the snow, would rather watch you do it! Thanks for the beautiful scenes. Food yummy as always!
Joe.......watching you with that snow blower is like watching a kid on Christmas day with a new toy...I can see the smile on your face......Safe warm my friend.. Philly Jim
Land of a thousand lakes and unbelievable snows and frigid weather. Sounds like a recipe for staying inside. You are a real trooper. Your wife is lucky to have you. It gets cold here and every couple years several inches of snow unless you are in the mountains then potentially several feet. But usually in a couple days the sun comes out and above freezing temps and the snow goes away. I do not think that is the case there. It is a killer here after the middle of July through the first week of October-humidity. I bet it stays pleasant from the middle of May through the middle of October. You got to take the bad with the good. Thanks for sharing a part of your day with us. That radial saw looks like a keeper!
Joe each time you show melissa or yourself cooking I feel like I gained weight because it looks so good. I miss winters like that. It is amazing how people forget how to drive on snow and ice. Its Minnesota people...... Great video!!!!
Joe, you and Melissa spoil my fun, with all your cooking and eating. I get so hungry I have to pause the YT and get something to eat and drink before returning to complete the video. You are causing me to put on more weight. Lol lol!!
Great video!! You two work together well. I have to say the best part of the video is seeing Melissa’s cooking. She is a true southern cook. That cornbread looks so good. Being from the South we always have this meal on the 1st of January. ❤️
Subscribed!!! you hit all the great points of the video, easy volume, good camera shots, cats, dogs, storms, accidents, snow removal, food prep and I did see a woman..lol.
I enjoy seeing the snow. I grew up in Michigan so I know what snow is like. I moved to central Florida back in 1993 on my 20th birthday so it's been 26 years ago now that I've lived a white winter.
Here in Louisiana some people do hams New Years Meal but mostly the staple is pork roast black eye peas cornbread and cabbages! Good Cajun eating! :-) Loving all the snow videos! Happy New Years to you and the family! :-)
I commuted on my days off from Superior to St. Paul for six years before I finally was able to transfer to River Falls. Not a bad drive; but I don't miss the winter weather extremes between the two!!! Happiest of New Years to you and Yours!!!
Burrrrrrr that's cold. I saw a snow blower cover that looks like a cab for that type of blower you have that helps keep the wind and snow from coming back on you, might be something to look into with the amount that your having to do. But stay safe you two, I hate the ice also, snow ok but ice nope lol. Hope everything is ok with your dad, and nice saw it has a nice big platform for those wider boards really helpful. Ok stay warm and safe. Glad the kitties are all back together I bet you will have your hands full Melissa haha, got a regular zoo going on there but where would we be without our pets lol. Bye
You sir are a trooper. I’m starting to think you may need a vehicle mounted snow blower or a plow. In the end you’ll figure it out. Stay warm and happy new year 🎊🎈🎆
I’m thinking snow blowing that huge driveway area will soon be getting kind of old in those kinds of temperatures, maybe a plow is in your future somewhere.
You don’t want a plot, tractor and snow blower yes. That little bit of snow is just a light storm here in Canada, but get a plot and see what it’s like. Everyone needs to learn the hard way right!
Thanks Joe for having the driving video , I thought I heard a cat meowing, but when I took my cat from Illinois to Fla. OMG SHE WAS Whining the entire trip loud , felt so bad for her so you had it pretty good lol .. We have been pretty lucky far as weather here in No. CENTRAL Illinois, and getting up to 50 this weekend for my birthday 👏 .... Nice your getting more wood tools for the shop there at the house , that will give you time to tinker if you ever get time , now you do have a garage for your truck there right , I noticed you have been parking it outside
That's what I love about America you guys know how to carry on when you get really bad snow when it comes to the UK everything just comes to a standstill when we get snow
Thank you for sharing the winteryness. Is that a word?? lol Appreciate your weather and could live in that for sure. Good food and good calories for keeping you warm. Share anything you wish whenever you can. No schedules here lol. Be Well and Happy New Year.
Joe, lots of snow here in northeast MN, quite a bit more than the cloquet area. It will be quite a walk across that lake. Happy new year, be safe, look forward to the vids.
First and foremost happy New Year's to you Melissa and your family! That food looked like comfort food!!! You would pay high dollar down there in the South for that dinner that looks very yummy! By the way nice radial arm saw!!
I can tell bu the sound of your foot falls how cold it is.When folks ak why we live up here I just tell them we don't know any better, LOL. Happy new year !
Holy Horse Puckey...all this time I've been watching and thought I was getting the videos in fairly decent order...turns out i'm a year behind! Heard you talking about it being New Years and did my darndest to figure out where you were in the world that had you so far ahead of me...lol
Happy New Year! We do collards out this way. My friend in Pittsburgh does cabbage or sauerkraut. I'd have thought Melissa would make great collards! My most favorite is Mustard greens. OMG!!! LOL
Still shivering.....Burrrrrr....Wow Joe...That’s cold.....I bet your starting to add up the mileage on the good old Ford...I know it’s a necessary evil....but that ice treatment is like acid to your truck.....Thanks for another great video..
Thoughts and prayers for your dad and for you. I am kinda glad I moved from Duluth to Southern California. Brrr. We used to walk to school in the sub zero temperatures. Don’t know how I did it.
Another great video Joe but you forgot to tell us about the note Melissa left for you. Which one you ask ? The one that said see you in Louisiana when you get a chance to come down. Had enough of this cold crazy ass weather around here ! 😂😂😂😂❄❄
Hi Joe ! I noticed you warming the old digits, and I thought about my snowmobiling years and I had bought a fairly expensive pair of gloves for riding well they didn't last long. As most people know individual wrapped digits will not stay as warm as all your fingers together in a mitten will, I quickly found that out, no more gloves just mitts.
Super One Foods must love your reviews more than any of us. You've put their pork steaks and other cuts of meat on the map! I'd seriously consider an old used tractor with a snow blade for winter and a lawn deck for summer grass cutting. Cheers
Happy New year Joe, Melissa and family. Please don't send any of that snow my way here in NY lol. It is cold here between 33-44 degrees but not as cold as there!! Praying your parents are doing well. Too bad the deer don't eat snow lol you'll have less of it to remove if they did. I made the same dinner as Melissa except I made a boneless pork shoulder and some spare ribs and instead of cornbread I made a banana bread lol.
Melissa Gascon I moved from FL to TN and am loving the cooler weather. nothing like you are getting but better than day after day of heat and humidity. To each their own.😁
@@@melissagascon9211 I'm in central Texas. It was 43° today and raining. That was too cold for me. Texas born and raised. I don't like the heat either, but I sure don't like the cold for any long period of time. I'm just glad I'm not outside drilling for 16 hours a day anymore.
I remember growing up in Mississippi in the 60's and it was normal to get from 25 to -15 at night during late December to middle of January. But I can also remer a Christmas when it was around 50. Just be careful and enjoy life. Jon
I sure miss living in MN, but I don't miss the icy roads or those fierce wind chills. Luckily I never slid off in the ditch, but I did take out my mailbox a couple of times.
Hey Joe, Your tan back up truck would be perfect for a front plow set up at the house. P.S. Our next door neighbor is from Louisiana(TN. here) and gave us a can of black eyed peas for New Years...........A Tradition... He said: Eating them brings good fortune in the coming year. I hope 2019 brings you both good health and happiness... J/C
I have been noticing yours or Melissa's cook ware some really nice old pots and pans, if they could tell a story of what has been cooked in them and by who?? those pans are great!
Trax Right on! We know she isn’t comfortable yet with the camera but the camera could be aimed down at the work surface. Maybe that would allow her to share without really being aimed up! Fingers crossed!
Aha, so it was YOU that kept meowing! I'd hear a meow, pause the video, call out for my cats....receive no reply, re-start the video, hear another meow, stop the video....and I did this for each meow I heard. It was YOUR cat that was meowing! Silly me. No wonder all my cats kept staring at me like I'd lost my mind! LOL
Holy MOLY! While this is fascinating to me, I don't envy you at all (she says, watching from her back porch in Orlando, Florida). Stay safe! Just gave our son a radial arm saw. Can't wait to see it in use.
LOL so glad I watch this one I never thought to warm my hands with the exhaust of the blowers engine usually kick on my small propane heater in the garage and run in their a few times while clearing snow for a quick warm up.
Man, my wife would have been out there first thing in the morning snow blowing! She never had to rely on a man, even though I was there for her all the time during our 26 years of marriage. God rest her soul!
Your videos remind me of why I moved from the snowbelt in Syracuse, NY to Phoenix, AZ. It is cool here in Phoenix 52 degrees but it won't take your breath away like the below zero temps. And, I really hated shoveling, snowblowing, plowing all that snow! Your place is beautiful, but way too wintery for me.
Joe bought a farmal h tractor haven't seen it since the original video though. but a blade in it would beat the snow blower for sure. those are only good for side walks .
Great video, thanks for sharing. I love your dog

When you hear the the snow squeak you know it's fricken cold!
Your a busy man Joe. Thanks for including us.
She's a true Southern cook - cornbread in the black iron skillet with black eyed peas is the perfect New Year's meal. Between the two of you, you guys eat well. Oh, sorry Melissa - y'all eat well!

Melissa’s cooking looks delicious and I’m jealous of all the new toys u are getting for the workshop

Thank you for the video.
Melissa’s Bringing in The New Year right with that Good Southern Cooking👋... Hope Joe enjoyed it..
Great video!! You two work together well. I have to say the best part of the video is seeing Melissa’s cooking. She is a true southern cook. That cornbread looks so good. Being from the South we always have this meal on the 1st of January. ❤️
How does Melissa like the snow and cold? Quite a change for her. Thank you for sharing your times. Very enjoyable.
Slow down Joe, you frighten me on those treacherous roads, all our best wishes for the new year from Sherwood Forrest UK
Subscribed!!! you hit all the great points of the video, easy volume, good camera shots, cats, dogs, storms, accidents, snow removal, food prep and I did see a woman..lol.
Black eyed peas and cornbread on New years Eve. That's a tradition that will never die; we still do it to this day.
I am watching this and thinking... Poor Melissa. Southern gal up there freezin. But with you she will be fine! Happy New Year to you both!

I’m not complaining but usually you show the ingredients and preparation of that delicious food🤤🍻🇨🇦
That driveway would have me dreaming about a tractor with a pto blower. Beans look amazing
Happy New Year Joe and Melissa!!!
We eat black eyed peas and hog jowl for New Year’s Day. Your food looked delicious.
Gives me flash backs of digging my car out every morning in Finland....... the horror lol. Stay safe Joe and co. Cheers Moose
I have the same saw have had it. For 20 yrs love it

Hey Joe.. heated grips for the snow blower..lovin the videos!!
I am curious about Melissa's cats and dogs, how many good hearted woman !!
Thanks joe, that was such a cool video. I really appreciate your editing skills. Thanks for sharing buddy. 😊👍🏼
Stay safe Joe. Driving conditions look tough going up there during the storms.
I’m thinking snow blowing that huge driveway area will soon be getting kind of old in those kinds of temperatures, maybe a plow is in your future somewhere.
Tracer, We’re all thinking the same thing. Or a small tractor 🚜 w plow, For Melissa.
Melissa could plow the driveway ! Just don't wait too long at the roadway. Morning is best so it's not ice.
You don’t want a plot, tractor and snow blower yes. That little bit of snow is just a light storm here in Canada, but get a plot and see what it’s like. Everyone needs to learn the hard way right!
Joe your metabolism must be through the roof!
Your dinner looked so goood. Especially the black eyed peas and ham! Happy New Year
I cooked black eyed peas with pork tenderloin and corn bread from scratch too. Yours looked really good! Stay safe and warm.
Thanks Joe for having the driving video , I thought I heard a cat meowing, but when I took my cat from Illinois to Fla. OMG SHE WAS Whining the entire trip loud , felt so bad for her so you had it pretty good lol ..

Happy New Year ! I remember 2018 just like it was last week :-)
We had the same meal New Years day! But as a South Georgia southerner I like black eyed peas
over rice. About 70 degrees outside also !!
You guys always show all that good food while I'm starving, but I have lost 82 pounds!
That cat is gorgeous!
That's what I love about America you guys know how to carry on when you get really bad snow when it comes to the UK everything just comes to a standstill when we get snow
Wow winter is upon you Joe! You should have bought a bigger snow blower!..lol...saying a prayer for your dad..Take care.
Thank you for sharing the winteryness. Is that a word?? lol Appreciate your weather and could live in that for sure. Good food and good calories for keeping you warm. Share anything you wish whenever you can. No schedules here lol. Be Well and Happy New Year.
Thanks for the snowstorm videos. Keep on driving the piss out of that truck Joe. Those Ford's love that shit LOL.
Joe, lots of snow here in northeast MN, quite a bit more than the cloquet area. It will be quite a walk across that lake. Happy new year, be safe, look forward to the vids.

Happy New Year 🎉🥂 wouldn’t mind getting that recipe for the corn bread, it looks yummy.
Happy New Year! We do collards out this way. My friend in Pittsburgh does cabbage or sauerkraut. I'd have thought Melissa would make great collards! My most favorite is Mustard greens. OMG!!! LOL
Im soooo happy I cooked at 8 a.m.....Boooy, you really need to stop making me hungry. Can't wait to see the work done with the radial arm saw.
Still shivering.....Burrrrrr....Wow Joe...That’s cold.....I bet your starting to add up the mileage on the good old Ford...I know it’s a necessary evil....but that ice treatment is like acid to your truck.....Thanks for another great video..

Damn those Black-eyed Peas and cornbread just made me drool..........now I gotta get up and make me something!........lol
My Texas blood would freeze up there! You guys are some kind of tough!
Looks great !
I have to put a heavy jacket and gloves on to watch your winter videos. Happy New Year! 2019 is going to be great!
Happy New year Joe, Melissa and family. Please don't send any of that snow my way here in NY lol. It is cold here between 33-44 degrees but not as cold as there!! Praying your parents are doing well. I'm so happy to live in Louisiana. Poor Melissa
It is suppose to get close to 40 later this week and she is already not looking forward to it at all. She says that 40 is too hot. She loves the cold.
I hate the Louisiana heat, I'm totally miserable down there
Melissa Gascon I moved from FL to TN and am loving the cooler weather. nothing like you are getting but better than day after day of heat and humidity. To each their own.😁

Nothing like Beans and Cornbread on a cold Snowy evening
Might have to get some of them hand warmers off an old snowmobile for your snow blower lol
I have been noticing yours or Melissa's cook ware some really nice old pots and pans, if they could tell a story of what has been cooked in them and by who?? those pans are great!
I'm thinking a snow plow may be in order for both houses & the tent!
Great video! Maybe one day Melissa will share some recipes with us. Maybe the cornbread would be a good start!!!

47° Below Zero. Lord have Mercy.
Too funny !!!! I just gave a Sears Anniversary Edition Radial Arm Saw to guy !! looks a lot like yours !!
Joe bought a farmal h tractor haven't seen it since the original video though. but a blade in it would beat the snow blower for sure. those are only good for side walks .
Maybe you should get some of those snow fences we use up here in Northeast. Keeps the drifting off of fields on roads to a minimum.
Great video thx!!
Looks frigid! Be safe up there.
Hi from Mora the crunch of the snows say's how cold it is let's goo fishing
