An evening in my living room studio: 1. Power on Prophet X and BARP 2600. 2. Listen to first class patches in this video. 3. Power off Prophet X and BARP 2600. 4. Power on OB-6.
Thanks for watching Ian! Agreed, Blade Runner is a huge inspiration, I try to do at least 1-2 blade runner style patches per sound set :) check out my Prologue and Summit patch videos too
13:05 min, your 0 button indicator is glowing when not engaged. Zoom in and see how it is like 30 percent illuminated. Compare it with the neighbouring 1 button. See the difference?
@@devinbelangermusic It's much more noticable in a darker room. I am yet to see a OB-6/Prophet 6 without that issue manifesting, usually unnoticed by the owners unless someone directs their attention to it. There is also LEDs leak in neighbouring indicators. No effect on the sound though could be annoying sometimes.
Cheers Adam, you definitely made the right call imho! OB-6 is my desert island synth! Stay tuned for my comparison to the new OB-X8 when mine arrives, and thanks if you ended up getting my patches :)
thanks so much! Man you are gonna be in for a treat - it's literally the one synth I will take to my grave. If you grab my patches when it arrives thanks in advance :)
I love these patches - I'm curious which ones you could easily replicate on the X8 (and maybe they would sound even better?) and which ones you couldn't. I think my favourites are Mega City One, Broken E Piano Dreamscape Piano, Gentle Plucks, Homecoming Plucks. Classic Brass pad is lovely too.
Thank you! I did a full bank of OB-X8 patches too if you search my channel. All of them you listed except for the Broken E Piano can be made on the X8. The Epiano uses sync which behaves differently on the OB-X8 because it doesn’t have a sub oscillator that syncs as well
@@devinbelangermusic This reverb is super easy to put on everything, it works insanely fine on everything ! I love also the 3 ! Love this OB6 warm analog sound, the true analog which sounds instantly "Record"
@@nikolazimmermann8547 agreed! It might not be quite as realistic as the empress, but it has this satisfying way of mixing subtly with synths without mud that no other pedal has. So I kept it, but don’t really use it on guitar, just synth!
hey! thanks for the comment. The way the OB-6 is wired I have to export them from where i made them (250-300) but if you get a 3rd party patch editor / patch librarian you can easily move them around and store tons of patches! I've heard good things about the SoundTower editor but there are different ones
I've purchased it. Great work for a great instrument. Thank you Miles Away

HA that's awesome. Glad my patches could inspire you to pick up the OB. If you end up buying them let me know what you think! :)
These are the best OB-6 patches i've ever heard. Excellent work!
Thank you so much! I’m gonna be making similar patches for the new OBx8 when mine arrives so stay tuned :)
50 Custom Patches for the Sequential OB-6. On sale for first week 20% off!
Thanks! I have purchased it, for the best price, 5 minutes ago!
So amazing!!! I'm going to use these in an 80s movie score I'm doing :)
So beautiful and unique sounds...👍
Hey Miles - Full of awesome OB goodness. Love the 'vintage' sounds. The first in particular is very Bladerunneresque 👍

@@devinbelangermusic Awesome! Thanks, Miles.
Sound awesome dude!
Thanks man!
I ordered OB6 after this video)))
Wow amazing! Congrats and thank you for purchasing my patches :)
@@devinbelangermusic I think I will do it, when the ob6 arrived in my studio) cool patches!
A lovely sounding synth, a lush reverb and some keyboard chops. Is there a better combination of things in the world? I don’t think so.
Thanks Andrew, too kind! OBX8 video and patches coming soon as soon as they ship it to Canada!

Never noticed that! It’s probably subtle LED bleed between buttons

@@GeorgiRusev never noticed it ya! Good observation. I can confirm my OBX8 doesn’t do that at all, so they’ve fixed it with new keyboards
Really sounds good.
Thanks so much Tommy!
Exellent video as usual should i say !
Thanks again!
Makes me want to get an OB6😍 great patches!!!
Thanks so much Ted! I also have Patches for Summit and Prologue, with more synths on the way :)
2:32 - This is basically why you buy the synth, the sound of the filter doing a patch like that. The rest is gravy.
Agreed! thank you for watching :)
Great sounds
Thank you so much!
Wow wow that was awesome epic 👏 🙌 😎 👌 😍 😀
Thanks Jacob!
Just bout my ob6 back from the guy I sold it to and I wasn’t sure I did the right thing, then I heard this!

im getting serious Terminator vibes on the opening
Classic soundtrack! Thank you!
this or trigon 6 ? sem filter vs. ladder (in a poly!!!)
haven't used the Trigon! It looks amazing though
@@devinbelangermusic indeed a beast....ob6 is probably more creamy and softer. i need both 🙏❤️🙏
Finally kept the Big Sky ?
Yep haha, I couldn't resist how well it paired with specifically the OB6 actually. So now I have way too many reverb pedals.

Bro, your prologue presets video made me go out and buy a Prologue 16. Please, NOT THISSS!! I HAVE NO MONEY! HAHA
Haha 😂 sorry not sorry! Glad you liked them :) I’ve got serum presets coming soon so stay tuned!
YOOOOOOOOOO
much love for watching!
Is there a way to load the patches somewhere else besides 250
Can anyone help lmao… or is there away I change them in sysex?

Also idk if you know. But your patches loaded in to bank 450-499 on my ob6. Just in case you didn’t know, but they sound incredible!
IM confused. Do the patches load to 250-299 or 400-499? It says both after you buy them on the instructions. Thanks.
450-499!
patch 1 and you already know you are ordering the synth lol
It really is magic! Did you end up getting one?
