im 21 and saw justin currielast night and i just love him as a lyricist, musician, comedian... apparantly the first speaking-like noises i ever made were to "kiss this thing goodbye" when i was a few months old!
God they were great live, too. Justin was a wild man, climbed up a pole at the old Club 9:30 in DC the first time we saw them (of several.) The studio version of this song is utterly fantastic, of many they had. Explore this band!
Greatly underrated band. I saw them live in L.A. at the Troubador in the early 90's they kicked butt. Performed " Ace of Spades" Motorhead / cover as one of their encores. It was PRICELESS.
J’ai découvert Del Amitri lors de cette émission de la télévision française « Taratata » et j’ai adoré cette prestation. J’ai aussitôt acheté le Cd qui est à tomber. Magnifique 🇫🇷🏴👍👏🏻
remember hearing that track on the local college radio station in 92 while living in Atlanta..really loved it, but did not identify it -always wished I did...now almost 20 years I found by accident - there was a reason I was so impressed! I like it the same now...great song, great band I never listened...
@WilburyVision Hi, I think you'll find 'Spit in the rain' was on the B side of the vinyl single. It was also on the CD single along with 'I won't take the blame' and Scared to live'. Totally agree, great songs and a great band, JC is still around and does the old DA favourites.
@WilburyVision Yes absolutely, seen him twice and he did downfall both times, when he did it at the O2 Sheperds Bush I shouted out for 'This side of the morning' just before he performed it, it's on here somewhere, he didn't oblige me until 8 months later at the Union Chapel, great gigs.
@WilburyVision Its off the album Change Everything. I just got it and started listening to it. I'm kind of late on the game as far as Del Amitri, but I know its on that album.
@psychochippy Okay I have found the b-side I was thinking of - it was Whiskey Remorse, and it was the b side of Be My Downfall, not Just Like a Man. I got confused, I had all these on cassette single and they all had similar covers from the Amsterdam photo shoot! But they were ALL great songs weren't they?!
@psychochippy yes those were the three songs. In the early nineties the b sides were as good as the a sides! I have really enjoyed JC's Uncle Devil Show. Gilbert O'Sullivan was a great song - well worthy of past Del Amiti glories!

One of my favourites. Absolutely superb.
Brilliant band!

Justins voice is brilliant. 💖
Their best song IMHO
Saw them on Sunday and they are still brilliant love Justin curry
Wish I could have seen them in concert in their day. Love these guys. "Surface of the Moon" is my favorite song of theirs.
Next month in the UK :)
I _did_ see them back in the day ... OMFG! Truly awesome band!
Top tune!!!!
Great video!!! My FIRST Del Amitri song back in the days... Luckily Justin played it again in his shows this year!!
Love this classic Del stuff!
Great band in the studio and they could really pull it off live on stage. Thanks for posting this.

I will see them in Cologne tomorrow and I´m glad
😊
Ils sont passés en concert dans ma ville mais je ne pouvais pas les voir à cause du pass sanitaire....
Un excellent groupe qui à toujours fait du bon.
Keep going on
Brilliant band....!

Maybe one day there will be a live concert video to purchase...always wondered why they never put one out

Can anyone remember what the b-side was to the cd single? I had it and played it to death - wasn't on an album.
Just realized I forgot about Del Amitri....they were tight
Good stuff! Was hoping to hear the lead guitar though...
@yinyangyogi I don't recognise those tracks - think it must have been the b sides to When You Were Young ! Do you know them?!
A great band, brilliant albums but unfortunatley, the public were listening to so much crap when they came out that they got overlooked imo.
Ooooooh luvvvvvv this song......
