Just a guess, but thinking the rubber coating on the cage helps extend petal life when closing perhaps more than sealing effect. The thinner reeds probably offer a little quicker throttle response.
18 300xcw and got the vforce, on inspection it showed some light from the inside. It was less than the stock one but still not the quality I was expecting. Vforce seems to work fine and I know the its reliable. Stock on the 18 appeared to look smooth on the sealing surface. Probably could have gone with some boysen reeds (reliability) on the stock block and been fine with a few extra bucks in my pocket.
Just picked up my 17 Husqvarana tx300 and wondering if you are still liking these reeds? Did it clear up some of the jetting issues? Mine feels super responsive and jetting pretty good at sea level. Thanks
first video ive seen of the vforce 4 on the 17 ktm , thanks, should have mine friday or monday for my 17 ktm, let me know how they are when u take it for a ride.
I bought the v force 4r for my 17 300, the old ones had 260hrs on with hardly any light showing, after instaling i cant pick ip much difference just a thicker sound....nothing wrong but do you think its worth the money
I've heard of quite a few very early failures of the stock reeds. One possible cause I can think of if that on the stock reed cage the carbon fiber petals contact the hard plastic of the cage every time the petal closes. I think this design makes the petals prone to chipping and breakage. I think that he VForce cage design is much better as the area where the reed petal contacts the cage is rubberized, which without doubt reduces the impact and helps increase the petal life. Regarding performance, I couldn't tell that much difference.
I didn't notice a performance difference between the stock and VForce reed cage. The reason I like the VForce is I consider it to be much higher quality and more reliable. I like the rubber coating in the reed cage which I'm sure prolongs the lifetime of the reeds and reduces the chance of chipping. As noted in the video the stock reed cages are typically quite warped and poor quality.
I posted the following "Yes, bottom end was improved and bike feels responsive. Well worth replacing the stock reed valve..." the day after I rode the bike, 5 month ago. If you scroll down through the comments you'll see it. It continues to perform very well. Recently I installed a VForce4 on a friend's 2017 Husky TE300. Before the install I rode his bike. It felt slow, unresponsive and wouldn't rev out properly. After installing the VForce4 and putting a few holes in the top of the airbox the bike was transformed. My friend was extremely pleased. Highly recommended for any 2017 KTM, or Husky...
No, I have no experience with the 2008 125 Husky. We fitted one to a 2017 Husky TE300 and it made a huge improvement, together with opening up the airbox.
So you're saying if you pick that cage up and you look at it to the intake side Up in light you don't see no air gap or light? I know in the vforce3 cages you do. The V Force 2 you don't. But I will tell you on the Honda stock Reed cages it shows on the dyno that they perform better in the aftermarket cages do meaning even the rad valve to
250race - The stock cage had large gaps and the VForce4 did not. IMO small gaps, particularly if the cage surfaces are flat are not an issue as the reeds can easily seal against them. However, the stock cage surfaces were badly warped (poor quality molding). I think the quality of the VForce cage is much higher than stock.
MrKidkiller159 - Please can you clarify which factory Japanese reed valve will fit my 2017 KTM 250 EXC. I haven't heard of this modification, so will be interesting to know...
+MrKidkiller159 - Mototassinari don't seem to make a VForce 4 reed cage for Hondas. You must be talking about another model? This video compares the 2017 KTM stock reed cage to the Mototassinari VForce4...
Heya, can you post a video on what the difference is in riding after installing the VForce4 reed valve? Thanks

Added the VForce4 cage assembly into my 2018 TE250i. Win-Win for the TPI bikes
did you notice change? Have a KTM 300 XCW, 120 hours, TSP head and tune, ordered Slaven's idle screw.
Hmmm, seemingly crisper in the bottom end of the powerband and BTW, the oem ones in my bike were sprung slightly open…
@@1MarkBevans Thx, much appreciated!
very informative and well put together!
Riding tomorrow. Will do...
Excellent video, can you tell if the dimensions of both pedals are the same... can i put the vforce pedals on the stock reed cage?
thank you

Adam Midkiff - Bottom end was definitely improved after fitting the VForce. Highly recommended.

@@TokyoOffroad thanks for the imput, time will tell, greetings from the Wild coast South africa
Did you post a video after this testing the different between the 2017 reeds and the vforce?

Okay thank you for taking the time to reply to me
The only gasket needed was between reed and cylinder? No gasket between boot and reed? Thanks
Yes, that's right.
Hi hope you can help me out just bought new v force 4 reeds and there is a slight gap on the sides do you if it is normal or should i take it back
It’s normal to have very slight gaps according to the manufacturer. So long as the petals are not warped I wouldn’t worry about it.
Tokyo Offroad ok thanks
Still waiting for post ride impression

my 2 stroke suzuki has extremely less low end torque, making it difficult to climb hills. will this vforce reed help in this issue?
Akash - what Suzuki do you have? It might be the reed cage. Or it could be a jetting issue.
Thanks for the information..
Im doing the same up grade to my xcw 300 2017 1 Did you feel any difference in performance?
mmig2116 - Yes, bottom end was improved and bike feels responsive. Well worth replacing the stock reed valve...
Can you tell does v force 4 go to husqvarna sm 125 -08
No, I have no experience with the 2008 125 Husky. We fitted one to a 2017 Husky TE300 and it made a huge improvement, together with opening up the airbox.
Tokyo Offroad ok. Thanks anyway.
How to buy vforce 4...i stay malaysia..
Adek Kawa - You should be able to purchase it directly from Moto Tassinari. store.mototassinari.com/index.php/vforce4/v4r26.html

how can I send you a pic ?
+MrKidkiller159 - Please make a video and share it on UA-cam. If you have the dyno results other CR125 riders will be interested in the results.
Did you sand the old original reeds?
Duarte Morgado - Yes, I disassembled the original reed cage and sanded the reed cage on a granite block. It still wasn't perfect though.
do you recommend these reeds?
Yes, they're the best available AFAIK.
You can tell the stock was an attempt to copy the V-Force design as closely as the could without a Patent violation. Very obvious to me.
2006 cr125
Factory Japanese rubberized reed block sealing surface much nicer material.
+MrKidkiller159 - The stock KTM reed block isn't rubberized. You must be talking about a different bike?
Tokyo Offroad he said Japanese
MrKidkiller159 - Please can you clarify which factory Japanese reed valve will fit my 2017 KTM 250 EXC. I haven't heard of this modification, so will be interesting to know...
Tokyo Offroad no I cannot
Tokyo Offroad did you ever determine a difference in power between the ktm and vforce ?
my 2018 ktm 250 xc's at 8 hours had 1 pedal come off and go up into my motor. The stock ones are terrible!!
Matthew Roberts - I’ve heard about two other cases of that happening on low hour 2017 bikes. Not good. I hope your dealer sorts it out for you...
Stock reeds on a 2018 Husqvarna TC 250. Reeds broke at sucked into motor at 2.5 hours
vforce is the power of 2stroke like vtec 😂
.06 of a horsepower .put stock bak on power went right bak up. vforce junk !!
+MrKidkiller159 0.06Hp difference? If you do two dyno runs with the same setup you'll get more of a difference than 0.06Hp.
I've put on dyno the installed vforce an power go's down . vforce junk !!!!
+MrKidkiller159 - What bike did you test? A 2017 KTM 250 2T?
This kid must be a troll, surely...
honda

v force reed block is junk !!!!!!
MrKidkiller159 - Are you joking? If not why do you think the VForce is junk?
