'Stuck' by Aunty Donna is an artistic masterpiece. Mark is just living his everyday life when, out of nowhere, he gets stuck. Now this is a very well crafted metaphor for how life treats you. Being 'stuck' doesn't just mean just physically stuck, it means mentally. That's why he calls for Broken. Broden rushes in to see what the commotion is about, and finds Mark, stuck. He asks what to do, and Mark asks for Zach, who has been stuck before. This is a crucial moment, as it shows how we need people in our lives to help us with similar experiences. After Broden returns with Zach, they try a variety of ways to 'unstuck' mark. They think about calling professional help, but Mark insists otherwise. This is important because it shows the failure of mental health services, not worth the cost of professional help. Zach, who has had similar experiences being stuck, crawls over to him and brings snacks. This is like a friend who has been in that situation bringing consolation to the problem, not solving it, but trying to ease his suffering. Then Broden steps in to try to get him to move his leg out. Mark says he can't, which confuses them, as his leg clearly moved. This shows how just because you look fine on the outside, it doesn't mean you're actually fine on the inside. This frustrates Mark, as in his mind he can't do it, giving up all hope and telling them to just leave him, as he's a goner. The two friends recognize this and begin other methods. They try baiting mark out with a carrot, which doesn't work. They even offer him a mini-submarine from Elon Musk, to no avail. This is trying to show that you can't just dangle all the good things in life to unstuck someone, it isn't enough. The story continues, Mark getting frustrated with Zach and Broden, as they argue about him lifting his leg. All this talk starts to remind Mark of his daily life, and how he said he'd go to the dance with Justin, which makes him sad. This exemplifies the duality of being stuck, you really want to hold on to things in life, but it's difficult and tears you apart. After trying with no success, Broden and Zach start to wonder if Mark will make it out, and Mark pretends not to hear. This is the point where you've used almost all your resources to help you get unstuck, and people are starting to get annoyed with you, and things start looking really grim. They argue for a bit, and Zach accidentally lets it slip that they think he's done for. This is the last straw for Mark, and he completely breaks. But our hero, Broden, jumps in to save Mark. With the saftey of a white paracord, he rushes in and grabs Mark, into the waiting arms of Zach, with a foil protection blanket. This is a metaphor of how much work and anguish goes into saving someone's mental state. Overall, this is a compelling story filled with anguish, loss and heartbreak, but through the sturdyness of friendship, the boys make it through together, as a team.
The thing that makes them so delightful is sometimes it's all carefully scripted for maximum comedic effect and other times it's like they're kids and someone just says "I'm going to pretend I'm stuck" and they just roll with it and you know you're just watching guys who love mucking about and just happen to be funny as hell.
I haven't been able to watch the video yet because I've spent the entire time wondering how exactly Broden made the choice to be singing 'Voodoo Child' on his way in and if it was deliberate because he thought it'd be funnier or he just happened to be thinking of it and what caused him to think of such an oddly specific song? How will I ever understand the bit without having the answers to these questions?
I think I prefer the regular upload schedule videos like this more then the themes series (mostly for consistency) but I’ll still watch all of this great content from you no matter what
Wow, Oscar worthy performances, the stuck part, the the still stuck part, the part where you got an iPod, the emotions, the the parts, all the parts, Oscars all around boizzz.
Sometime you always and ALWAYS stuck in middle and can't get out of it. You feel hopeless, tired of you're life. Until maybe or atleast you're friend or family helping you overcome it.
This was like a crossover between Stranger Things, Better Call Saul and the Aunty Donna Awards Show. Brilliant how you were able to incorporate elements from all three while at the same time being wildly original.

The effort you put into this comment is very appreciated
thanks for the r/copypasta karma, :b:
I was of similar opinion, this is of course after watching it about 20 times, how many times have you seen it?
TL;DR
um Spoiler alert!?
zach was so mean
its coz hes a meany boi
tru
There was no fucking need for it, at all
Those moment when Zach's real hatred of Mark comes put in the writing are really uncomfortable.
Broden is the true friend.
for some reason it’s zach dispassionately wrapping the foil blanket around mark that gets me every time
Same here lmao
“You are my voodoo child”
My voodoo child
My voodoo child
Absolutely cackled at that!
The one time Mark decides to wear shoes he gets stuck
Joseph Murphy "where" ... seriously?!
"Try lifting ya leg"
* lifts leg *
"Nah mate i cant do it"
Fuck you!
Fuck You!@@KanchiPanchi
The ipod with the foo fighters on it, is a reference to the beaconsfield miners when they got stuck ohhh nooooo
Anyone else love how Zach is outside nowhere near the building just holding a mug. 🤣
The Elon Musk bit could have been the whole sketch boys, that was the cherry on top for me
i feel like this was the seed that started the whole sketch
Bit o' that (squurrrrrrrrrr)
Nah fuck muskrat
I really hope Mark made it to the dance.
I cant believe I've been pronouncing carrot wrong all these years.
ooo cawr
Come get the Car-rot
yeah, and cAss-ETte
Good video. It really captures the concept of being stuck.
This is my favorite comment so far.
Broden is truly a hero of our time.
"ooo carr" really got me
"Zach's been stuck before" - that shit made me laugh so hard
That bottle of powerade gave a stunning performance, good job.
That Elon Musk reference OMG ...
Thanks Josh Earl
How did you get Zach to be just an absolute monster to Mark like that?
one of my favourite and most revisited and shared videos on UA-cam. All my friends and I reference this video now lol Whenever we're stuck.
Last year my friend got stuck, and I was able to save him by remembering this video. ❤️❤️

I didn't know zach was capable of such meanness. Really opened my eyes.
Rest in piece, broden.
I can see that Mark has mastered his impression of Tom Hank’s impression of Captain Phillips crying
"Here's an iPod with the Foo Fighters on it."
Was that a reference to those miners in Chile who were stuck in a mineshaft?
In Tassie, but yeah
My heart was pounding the whole time
Help me step Broden, I'm stuck
The musk joke was just perfect
Imagine turning this into a 90 minute movie....
All I thought of when Broden came in singing that song was Series 3 of Doctor Who when The Master starts ending the world to it
Broden sacrificed his life to save mark, a real Australian hero.
This is still one of the best aunty Donna sketches of all time
Best video in ages boys loved it!
Definitely one of my favourites
Cracking as always boys! Can't beilieve someone wrote a script for this masterpiece. Who can write something so real and pure? Blows me away.
And the Oscar for best picture goes too...
They deserve an Aunty Donna award for this one.
@@ozmicoctomizer I think they are in with a really good chance this year.
Zach gave Mark the best present a friend can give. An iPod with the Foo Fighters on it
This might be my favourite yet
1:40 Sometimes the horse jokes are so obvious, they’re hardly worth making.
Nick Ferrazza wrong
Joke?? Mark isn't a horse??
This is the best video you guys have done in years.
An inspiring tale of unthinkable courage and hope in the face of unfathomable adversity.
You got a mean streak in you Zach...

Heartwarming: This Little Bearded Boy Got Stuck...And You Won't Believe What His Friends Did Next
Haven't you done stuck
This was genius!!!!! One of the funniest
There's a mean streak in your heart zach funniest thing ever
This is one of my favourite Aunty Donna videos it’s quite a fabulous little work of art
I'm stuck step-Broden
whens the full version of voodoo child being released
I want you to know I watched this two years ago and I think about this video once a week. I don’t know why.
Broden made me remember a song I loved and not heard in literally years
I’m watching this for a second time because it’s a good sketch
Damn. He was truly stuck
That Musk joke was very clever,
well done 👁️👄👁️
I like how you guys can make a sketch about nothing and it still be great
Lots of nice nuggets of Donna details on those post it notes. Chippy thief sounds fun.
Mark: ZACH IM STUCK
Also Mark: *brings it around town*
"Oooh carrrr...."
I love 1. That Zach is just drinking from a ceramic mug on the street and 2. That apparently Broden knew to find him there
The closed captions makes this sketch even more hilarious.
Is there anything that Broden's big strong muscles can't solve?
I think I prefer the regular upload schedule videos like this more then the themes series (mostly for consistency) but I’ll still watch all of this great content from you no matter what
Loving the cheeky Rogue Traders content
The Elon musk bit is amazing. That was just perfection
Some people say men never truly grow up, but then I show them Aunty Donna and.....err, well.....lmao 😂
I came back to this just now...Im in a real bad place. This helps. I dunno if that was your intent but I appreciate it anyway.💚
I always come back to this video
RIP Broden.
A true hero.
Josh Earl just became my favorite member of Aunty Donna
ipod with the foo fighters was such a good joke
I felt this intensely
this is the quality content i subscribed for
Why didn't he take his shoes off
Louise Brennan cuz he was stuck ya sillie
Cause he's stuck
Couldn't lift his leg mate
He couldn't reach them.
AAAAYYYY, I'm your 69th like. ;)
Wow, Oscar worthy performances, the stuck part, the the still stuck part, the part where you got an iPod, the emotions, the the parts, all the parts, Oscars all around boizzz.
I need to find a friend group like this to do sketches. I love doing this stuff
This is so far my favourite video on youtube 16/10/2020 (been re watching it came out.) still watching 26/04/2021
Sometime you always and ALWAYS stuck in middle and can't get out of it.
You feel hopeless, tired of you're life.
Until maybe or atleast you're friend or family helping you overcome it.
Such a "Stella" vibe. (David Wain, Michael Showalter & Michael Ian Black) Mark does great acting in this.
This is fucking quality. Mark has been on point recently. Well done ibs man
Man, I always forget about the Josh Earl cameo at the end. Chef’s Kiss.
The editing on this is phenomenal
2:31 cracks me up every time.
Omg this is exactly what I needed from you boys this bloody Friday morning
You've made me so happy.
This was like a crossover between Stranger Things, Better Call Saul and the Aunty Donna Awards Show. Brilliant how you were able to incorporate elements from all three while at the same time being wildly original.
"Oh no, next thing I know they call up triple O, I'd rather die than owe the hospitals till I get old "
Australians really hate triple O
These guys always remind me of Aunty Donna
I love the philip island mug.
I hate it when Elon calls me a pedo
Honestly that acting at the end was really good
Now THIS is what I call art
probably my all time favorite of yours
The Beaconsfield miners reference was 👌
Sometimes we feel stuck in life and we express ourselves in different ways.
"ooo carroooh..."
One of my favs! Love you guys
