I used to pay $70 every 3 weeks and get no designs, just gel color, short oval nails, and they NEVER did all the cuticle/prep work you do. I absolutely see why the prices are what they are, because those nails aren't just done, they're flawless. I would consider it totally worth every dollar to have you take such meticulous care of my hands.

I do my own and do mine every 4/5 weeks or whenever I feel like do them. I’ll admit it, it’s a pain in the ass doing your own but when doing your own you can do them exactly how you want them. When I do do them it takes me hours 😂😂😂

I also don’t get my nails done very often as I’m disabled and have dexterity issues. I tried doing my nails once with a kit you buy.. never again 😂 Must be so satisfying when you’re done though!! And saves you a ton of money!! I bet they look gorgeous! X

This is a bit more bc she is a small business not a major salon with everything paid for. She uses more HQ products and cares about the nail integrity + has to charge for her time accordingly. There isn’t a set rate for her as some shops may have 😅

It took me years to find a good nail tech that genuinely cared about my nails, valued her works in a way that is sustainable for her clientele to maintain. I finally found her
people forget the price includes taking off any old design, taking care of any damage, preparing the nail, the design itself, the time she spent on the nails, and the cost of the products used. not to mention, you also get the experience of going to a professional instead of doing it yourself. confiscating that doing your nails is a luxury, not a need, and everything taken into account - $100 makes sense? and if she wants to charge more, so be it - she’s still getting clients who are willing to pay that amount + tip.

These prices may or may not be real. Though there are things to consider such as the product, where she orders her things from, her bills/water electricity and maybe a vehicle, gas, food and whatever else. You set aside money to buy supplies and change needed for it then you recover what you used while selling the product and then some.
Wait so you’re telling me your pre-booked deposit doesn’t go towards price of the nails … the whole point of a deposit is to make sure you still get some money in case they canceled or no-show.. not charge them $20 on top of their service

Lots of places have good designs, but with poor quality nail polish/tools. Also, labor is something that should be paid for as well, not just the products used. Can someone please help? I started doing gel x extensions and January and for some reason I’ve had a couple of sets that have just completely popped off. Sometimes the nail pops off but the glue and everything is still left and sometimes everything pops off and the nail is left clean. I use tip primer before I put the tips on. I prep my cuticles, dehydrate my nails, prime my nails, put a layer of builder gel, and then the gel glue… what am I doing wrong?!

10 years ago, a full set used to be $25 and a fill used to be $20 but the huge problem with those prices is that the korean artists were NOT being paid enough. this girl makes her own prices and they are astronomical. even now, i get extra long nails with art at a really nice spa and they come out to about $90. but when you’re a biz owner, you do what you want.

Hey, can i do nail extensions over my fungus nails that have been lifted and looks really ugly?. I feel so insecure so i want to make it look good but i feel shame of asking a real tech in person.
I looked up to see if it was just high because of location but its not (Florida) was looking at prices on her site and there are some that are pretty high but others that are not to bad just maybe 20 dollars high compared to where I live which I feel is pretty average pricing but a different state. So overall on average I would say her prices are a bit higher than most others of her skill level but not way out of the ballpark.

U could try anacrylics, she has a channel aswell and there are lots of tutorials
As a beginner you should use the same acrylic that you'll use as a pro. Otherwise you'll have to learn all over again with new product. 😊

So overall on average I would say her prices are a bit higher than most others of her skill level but not way out of the ballpark.
Doing nails is honestly so hard I hate doing my own nails they take forever and they’re so hard to do but ain’t no way I’d pay that 😭😊
