Bought this ink from Atlas at the Chicago Pen Show-- I really like it! (Longer version: Actually, I bought a Wearingeul ink from Atlas at the Chicago Pen Show. Then I looked it up online and discovered it had shimmer. Brought it back to Atlas to exchange-- they were super nice about it! Ended up with Sailor Yu-- ideal result!)
How would you compare it to Diamine's Ancient Copper? From all the writing samples and swatches I've seen somehow I keep thinking of ancient copper but not as orangey in the more concentrated spots
I agree, I would really like to have an ink in that blue-grey color. Different enough from anything I have that I might actually buy it. The closest I have to this actual color is probably Moonlight of Higashiyama, which I think is by Kyo-no-oto, or maybe Kobe Ink's Arima Amber, both seeming slightly lighter than this.
Picked up a sample of Yu and Tsuyu, both really nice. I can't get a response from any retailers, does anybody know how limited these inks are going to be? I thought with them being an anniversary ink they may be available all of 2024. I want to pick up a bottle of Yu but I'm moving later this year and font really want to buy more inks to have to worry about moving. Also, is the guide that you use in your everyday notebook ink log available to get anywhere?
I don't know how limited they are, either, but I hope they're around for a while. That guide sheet is available at Ink Journal's website in a bunch of varieties.
Loveee this color and the pen. Do you know where you could purchase that pen/ is it even available for purchase somewhere? Also what are your thoughts on the new Sailor Manyo pen sets? I’m really digging the Persimmon and Gourd pens. 😍😍😍
“Please don’t judge me”: Sugar Turtle Tom is rubbing off on you. 🐢🐢🐢 Nifty ink. And I also would like a bottle of the grey-blue from the chromatography. Thanks, Mike!
The chromatography is like a bomb pop
Ha! Yeah, it does!

That’s my question too. I immediately thought ANCIENT COPPER
Nice looking ink! Thanks, Mike. And being semi-waterproof is a definite benefit.
It sure is!
@@inkdependence My bottle should get here tomorrow.
This reminds me of the rush hour meme, "I am Yu", "No, Yu is blind"

Great color thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Same. I'm not really an orange-brown guy, but this made me raise my eyebrow

The pen might be available from Kasama. I usually contact them on Instagram.
I think they look pretty nice, but I don’t NEEED them.
Looks a bit like Robert Oster Muddy Dragon or Monteverde Fire Opal too!
Im not a big red fan but this is a beautiful color.
