I hope you all are well, so friends in this video we are going to make rc ornithopter. This ornithopter is same as our previous one only difference is it has three stage gearbox & size is bigger than older one.

List of parts that I used :
1) pipe wood 4MM for frame
2) bamboo sticks for wings & tail
3) pvc pipe sheet for connecting rods
4) polythene bags for wings
5) thermocol for tail & body
6) F949 receiver
7) lipo battery 3.7v 300mah
8) 2.4ghz radio transmitter
9) gearbox
10) paper clips & metal wire

Great work!!. One more good feature to add is to add a mechanism to hold the wing parallel when not throttling. Right now it can be in any position when you cut power to motor. If the wings return parallel to the ground then it will simply glide when not throttling and can save some power while descending
What mechanism would do this? I can’t think of a solution to this without an additional servo.
@@desidudes78 im just spitballing here, but more modern transmitter have a servo postion function that if you set it up with a switch, it will force the servos to assume that position. so whenever you flip that switch, the servos will postion the wings parallel to the ground. just a idea, dont know if it will work.

How you made this frame
Great job 3JWings! Actually I also created an ornithopter just like you did....this video of yours is my guide....I learned a lot from watching it over and over again. I made some adjustment on the cranks of the gearbox from 5mm to 7mm and it flaps the wings more wider....but when I tested it, I throw it straight in the air flapping and what it does is it do inside loops or frontflips....but when I throw it in the air without flapping the wings and it glides perfectly....and it seems it has correct CG...but when I start to trottle up and the wings starts flapping, it does start front flipping and front flipping.....what seems to be the problem, what do you think?

Probably too much up wings flapping angle ( dihedral) and too little to no at all down ( anhedral) flapping angle .Flapping with such a angles create nose down momentum which can be compensated with setting the tail ( the elevator) up but is better to almost equalize both angles ( the up need to be a little bit more for stability reasons ) and to set the tail straight . Do not make the flapping amplitude too wide because the bouncing up/down increase and controllability decrease . 3jwings make great , very balanced ornithopters so just follow him more closely.
