Every one of them put a lot of talent and passion into their performance and if I hear one more person call cringe or waist comment space with 'the us version was better' Imma pich someone so hard their great great great whatever grandmother will feel it back in the dark ages.
It’s billy, I’m actually in this musical now, it’s not a big production or anything, but it’s really exciting, we have sixteen shows😅😳 but I am playing one of the backup girls, the one that sings the national anthem 😊
I saw this show in the west end! Totally addictive show. Very catchy music! I have seen lots of comments that this show is only for kids I beg to differ! I loved it!

okay. So everyone is saying the american version is better. I have to disagree. I'm a american, and I was watching the american version. I was thinking, this isn't really that good. So I decided to check out the UK version. I have to say the acting is better in the american version, but the UK version is so much more entertaining and the music is better
Marianna Ward the acting is better because they purposely need to put an american accent, which means every bit and line is well thought instead of reading off the script. Make sense?

The problem with this was that at the beginning during "my dad says it's a waste of time." The kid yells the line but he doesn't really sound pissed. Brandon sounds pissed. The kids don't embody the characters. The same problem occurs during "shut up!" After the line about the cymbals. The one exception is Billy
does it really matter? not all kids from broadway and west end don't play the character exactly the same! they play the character in a different way. making it their own way to express that character.
I have seen this team live, and I promise you there is nothing wrong with their portrayals. They where all fantastic actors. Remember they don’t do this version of the song in the show, and they were probably a little stressed over being filmed.

SAME but when I went to see it (like a year and a half ago) I looked at the age limit and I was 13 and the limit went to 12 I was so annoyed!!! If you are in the right age range then I say go for it and if they don’t chose you then no harm done!

Katie didn’t even emote, what the heck! Evie Dolan from the original broadway cast does the best bass face, just saying. I think the original broadway cast was the best.

I know it's a bit late, but still, I prefer the American version. given that UK actors just don't have the same feeling as the American actors; and Alex Brightman is just GREAT. Also, these kids don't know how to act, while the US kids are obviously not the best actors, but they know what they're doing and act very decently. But hey, I'm sure it's not that bad of a show.
Private schools can revoke children's constitutional rights, Public schools are operated under the Government which cannot. The majority of American kids go to public schools ;D

Definitely prefer the American version. This is good, but lacks a lot: -the guy playing Mr. Schneebly aka Dewey Finn has no rock quality to his voice. He’s not that energized. -What is Zack even playing? He’s SUPPOSE to play (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction - ok good job of keeping Smoke on the Water for Katie.... and no little girl playing Katie that is not how you emote! You’re supposed to look moody, ya still look happy. -i don’t like Lawrence’s delivery of “i only play classical.” He just sounds arrogant, he should sound scared. - Freddie: “i play percussion.” Summer: “you play the cymbals!”Yeah that’s not even the line. The line is: only because he’s too stupid to play anything else - Mr Schneebly listening to Freddie play: “oh that sucks!” No the line is: That’s good, that’s good for my grandma, who’s uh... dead. Then when Freddie starts playing better Schneebly is suppose to say: Hey! now he’s playing like my grandma who’s alive! -Summer needs to sound more confused about what a manager is -like a kitty cat... ok don’t what that has to do with playing the guitar - Um... YOU FORGOT THE BACKUP SINGERS!!!! Honestly why would you change something that didn’t need to be changed? If i was English I’d want to see the show like it was in the US. Not this version that doesn’t even have the right lines. Yike!
The show in the U.K. has the same lines you quoted, however they were performing on a TV show and so had to change some of the lines and cut the song down due to time constraints. I get you prefer the American one, I'm only saying that the script changes you mentioned would've only been for this, not the show
